Me and a group of friends booked a trip to Benidorm for the 20/04/2020 which was subsequently cancelled due to Covid-19. We paid approx £2100.00 overall. Love Holidays proved literally impossible to get hold of, their lines have been closed and the only form of contact was via email or live chat (the live chat hasn't once been available and their email responses are just generic and give no indication on when we should expect our refund). After about 5 months we received a refund of approx £490.00 (which i believe was for the flights). It has now been nearly 8 months and we are still owed £1610.00 and are still no closer to receiving this. I appreciate the company will be busy with thousands of customers seeking refunds, but i know plenty of friends and family who booked though other companies and had their holiday cancelled for the same reason and had their refunds within a month or two. The company are a shambles to be honest. Our holiday was booked for April and we're now almost in November with no refund. (apart from flights).

After talking to Love Holidays and them stating I had to get the money back for my flights myself and were adamant they would not do it. I informed the FCA & CMA. Yesterday I got an email from Love Holidays thst they are trying very hard to get my money back from the hotel and the airline and will send it to me as soon as they get it. This is obviously another stalling tactic as possibly one of the orgainisations could have bern in touch with them. Come on Love Holidays when you scam people at least get your story straight. Once again please, please do not touch this company with a barge pole. When will the government appointed Authorites seriosly investigate and when will a tv company make a programme about what is going on to ordinary hard working people

Like the last review I am exactly the same, ryanair has emailed me the whole transcript of their chat with me saying my money was cleared in LH on 29th Sept, LV chat deny having it, why would ryanair risk sendinding me a transcript if they were not genuine? No refund yet for flights been waiting since beginning of june. Ryanair recharged the money back on 29 sep 2020. To love holidays bank. Love holidays deny this. They are asking me to get a receipt from Ryanair who say the cannot provide as money transferred to love holidays. Love holidays are with holding my hard earned cash has anyone else had similar issues? Let's see what the odbusman says? And Martin Lewis in refund. Do not trust this company. Was going to add copy of chat with Ryanair but this function would not allow me to do this I wonder why. Live chat not available for me to get back to them I wonder why. Do not trust love holidays.

Holiday was cancelled by Love Holidays for COVID-19. The return flight and the hotel were cancelled by the operators: the RyanAir flight went (we think) but it was part of a package holiday under those regulations. This was July 4th. It’s now October 28th. I’ve tweeted 10x and received one response. I’ve direct mailed 8x and received one response. We’ve tried live chat at all hours over 35 times and it never connects. We are trying via Amex now as we do not have the final and most costly part of the refund. Communication for LH is non existent. I can see they are replying to posts on here 2-3hrs who but perhaps they should put that same energy into turning the phone back on & answering the phone/emails. Absolutely awful. Had another package holiday through Travel Trolley: they answered after 5 tings and I have the money back in full less than 14 days later. I would never ever book from LoveHolidays again - and they’ve left ABTA. Disgusting company with lack of morals and respect for customers. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

If it was possible I would give no stars whatsoever. TUI emailed me that my flight had been cancelled the day before Loveholiday even tried to contact me. I couldn’t log on to ‘Manage my Booking’ for 2 days to find out what was happening and when contacting the so called live chat I can only assume they were napping between answering me. The refund policy is long winded and dreadful especially in respect to the flight refund as I believe the airlines are returning the money way before loveholidays is passing it on the customers. Lesson learnt - Only book a holiday when you can actually speak to someone by telephone

Try chargeback on your debit or credit card .If all else fails take them to the small claims court which can be done online dont let these scum of a company get away with it anymore. They are still stealing your hard earnt cash.

Love that Credit Card. In contrast to the numerous complaints of problems getting money back from travel agents for undelivered holiday services I thought my experience might be helpful to others. Love Holidays took my booking for a holiday in Larnaka Cyprus booked for August. In the event the hotel was closed until September. I had paid Love Holidays £530. I encountered a reluctance to refunding my money. Love Holidays website did not seem to have a refund button.(The website was offering some kind of voucher or an opportunity to change dates at the click of a mouse). I wrote to Love Holidays at its Registered Office by Recorded Delivery – twice – each time the Post Office returned the letters unopened, marked ‘return to sender’. At this point, denied the opportunity to discuss the booking with Love Holidays, I used the returned envelopes to demonstrate to the credit-card company the apparent reluctance to refund. The £530 was in my account two days later. It was so easy. Indeed I need hardly have troubled Love Holidays who clearly were very busy and unwilling to receive and answer recorded delivery letters. So my recommendation for speedy refund is: In the first instance for the legal protection always buy with a credit card. Write to the Agent – by Recorded Delivery. After fourteen days if no refund, tell the credit-card company. (Readers will know that like the Agent the credit-card company is jointly and severally liable). It works like this. The debtor (that’s you) claims refund from the creditor (the credit-card company). The credit-card company then simply takes the money from the account of the Merchant (the travel agent) and gives it to you. The Merchant is charged an administration fee and has 45 days to appeal. Be aware that the alternative of accepting vouchers ends the responsibility of the credit card company. Also the vouchers are likely to have an end date, at which point hundreds of customers may be feverishly trying to use their refund voucher, stoking demand and causing prices to rise. Giving the agent an opportunity to discuss matters with us the client should always be the first action, but it is good to know that the credit card company will respond if the agent is reluctant. It works direct with airlines too. It saves a lot of trouble especially to travel agents like Love Holidays who suddenly find their work load is such that everything has to be dealt with on line. It doesn’t.

Received email in April advising my June holiday will not go ahead due to COVID 7 months they still can't get a refund from them although Jet2 have advised me they have refunded them flight money. Thanks to my credit card company I got it back otherwise no hope. I hope this company goes into administration for scamming people.

Would not touch this company with a barge pole. Of a £700 holiday I received £13.46 refund. On live chat they told me they would give me the refund for the hotel when they received it. Asked about flight refunds from Ryan Air they informed me they cannot and will not investigate due to Data protection. Informed them thats a load of rubbish and stop the delaying tactics which are well documented. She stpped the live chat due to me asking pertinent questions. I do not know how people with any sort of consciousness can work with a company like this. My wife and I are both pensioners have now gone to the FCA and CMA. PLease, please do not touch this company with a barge pole they are scammers and thrives

Received an email advising our holiday was cancelled due to covid , 48 hours prior to departing. After 8pm so couldn’t contact until the following morning. Got through on live chat to be informed our hotel was shut because of covid. What they wasn’t aware of we had contacted the hotel directly prior to live chat and knew The hotel was OPEN and was in fact full! They still had our reservation and because we had booked our flights separately, we once again secured our room. We informed live chat of this and they were adamant that the hotel was shut. We argued the point and in the end the operative said...oh yes sorry our mistake! You can go ahead with your holiday, enjoy . We checked in fine but the following morning had a note from reception advising we contact them immediately. Love holidays cancelled our room! We had to pay the full amount again. Because we were now on holiday we were able to speak on the telephone with a love holidays advisor...eventually after a further 24 hours they paid the bill and we got our refund. Now, you would think the story would end there but no. We had a party of 9 people coming to join us 4 days later...guess what? Yes, they had exactly the same problem even though they all contacted love holidays prior to departure informing them of our plight so it didn’t happen to them. I would never use this company again, they caused undue stress for several days of our holiday and our friends. My question is this...how many holidays have they cancelled and blamed covid? When there actually isn’t a problem at all. Not all people would check and they would assume the information is correct, they would then be issued a credit note which is not worth the paper it’s written on, allowing love holidays to keep their hard earned money!! Absolutely disgusting!!
