"My husband, who was 79 at the time, fell in the garden center of Lowes in Titusville, Fl. He fell flat on his face, splitting his nose and requiring 5 stitches. He broke his dentures and bruised his knees and ankle. Nothing life threatening. He was taken to the hospital be ambulance. We were given a claim # to get compensation. We were only looking to get compensation for his teeth, the hospital co-pay and the ambulance charges. After a year of trying to deal with the company that handles Lowes claims, we were notified the case had been closed. My husband did not receive one penny of compensation. We contacted a personal injury attorney but too much time had passed. So basically we were screwed. My advice to anyone who has an injury at Lowes, contact a personal injury attorney IMMEDIATELY!!! Do NOT expect Lowes to take care of it. They will not! Just an FYI!"
