Anyone who is looking to do a home improvement project through Lowes should run! I paid Lowes in full over 7 months ago to complete a very simple kitchen project. My cabinets were already done. We ordered cabinets for a basic kitchen island to match the existing cabinets and we ordered countertops. The total was $20,000. (We also purchased the backsplash, sink and fixtures from Lowes as a separate purchase) Photos of everything are attached to show just how easy this job should have been. This process has been a disaster from day 1. I emailed them the exact island that I wanted along with the make and model # of the countertops. One would have thought this was simple enough. Their terms state that a Lowes rep has to come to the house to take the measurements. Fine, they did so- twice. Not only did their "design team" screw up the design of the basic island, but the measurements for the cabinets were also wrong. When the cabinets arrived, they had to be sent back. Lowes tried holding me accountable for the measurements and wanted to charge me for the wrong cabinets because I signed a contract that included THEIR measurements in it. Next, they forgot to pick up the wrong cabinet for over a month. I called for an update. They had no idea that I still had the cabinets. They eventually sent someone to pick the cabinets up but neglected to call me to arrange the pickup. I got a call from a driver that was 10 minutes from my house. Luckily, I was home and let them come get them. Weeks later, I hadn't heard a word from Lowes so I called for an update. They asked me if I still had the wrong cabinets. I explained that the picked them up. They looked into this and then said that they would now order the correct cabinets. Weeks passed, I called for another update. They still hadn't ordered the new cabinets, but they "escalated" the ticket. There is zero communication between their multiple departments and zero communication with their customer. If you don't call them, you will never hear from them. You have to hound them relentlessly. The manager has 24-78 hours to return your call. Three weeks go by before I call back, and guess what? The manager is still not available. He has spoken to me once. During that one call, he said that he reviewed the recorded zoom design meeting and the emails on the file. He agreed that this has been a disaster on their end from day one. He said that Lowes would give a discount on the project to "make things right." After multiple employees forgot to order the correct cabinets for more months to follow, the correct cabinets arrived in the store on Dec 18th. Weeks passed without a call to schedule installation. I called and was told that they weren't aware that the cabinets were in the store. Oh My God already. 7 solid months of this! About 2 weeks ago I started getting emails and calls that they wanted me to schedule the installation. I asked Lowes to tell me how much the discount was going to be for the cluster that I have dealt with thus far. I would like to know the amount prior to the delivery and installation. I think that this is a fair question after 7 months of blatant incompetence. I was told that Lowes will not disclose the amount of the discount until AFTER they complete the entire project. This makes zero sense to me. As a consumer, I would think that I am entitled to full transparency in an agreement prior to moving forward. They have spent the past 2 weeks absolutely refusing to discuss the discount prior to completing the job. They expect their customer to have a horrible experience with every aspect of the project: design, measuring, ordering, customer service, and contract terms, but to trust them to "make things right." The discount could be $100 for all I know. My understanding is that companies are to be fully transparent during any dealings. To not inform me of what I would receive as compensation PRIOR to agreeing to letting them complete the job is RIDICULOUS! When I emailed them this, Shari and another employee at Lowes responded with asking me if I have retained an attorney. I didn't confirm or deny if I have consulted with an attorney. What if I did consult an attorney? Is that any different them Lowes having their legal team? They put a note on my acct that stated that I have an attorney and to not move forward with the project until I replied that I haven't hired an attorney. So to be clear, Lowes has been paid in full to complete this project. Their incompetence didn't allow me to move forward with the project for, at minimum, 6 months because the cabinets weren't even in the received and now Lowes is threatening to not deliver, not to install, not provide a discount, not provide a refund, not have a manager call me AND they have my $20,000 but have provided absolutely nothing? My view is that they are blackmailing me and that at this point, they have stolen $20,000 from me. Neither is acceptable and no consumer should be subject to this. They are paid to provide a service.

I have tried for 2 weeks to get my order # to get a return label for damaged items. You wait for an hour in the chat. #2 in line and they disconnect you. Phoneline you're on hold for 30 minutes and they leave 3 messages and no reception. Billings Lowe's doesn't answer the phone at 5pm. Dented refrigerator etc. I will never order from Lowe's again.

Lowes is the worst store to buy appliances or do business with. They do not value their customers. I bought a Samsung refrigerator on November 26 for over $2000. They delivered it 2 days later. After the delivery guys left, I noticed several huge black streaks running down the back of the metal cooling system. I returned to the local Lowes 48 hours later and showed the agent the picture of the defect. He gave me a number to call and I spoke to a lady named Heather Spencer who was rude and said there was nothing that could be done. She coerced me to accept a gift card for $25 which is still sitting in my email, although I told her on multiple occasions that $25 is not enough to buy cleaner for the refrigerator. The black streaks got worse, so I called Lowes again and spoke to Kadie, who told me they could not do an exchange since it's past 48 hours. Kadie failed to recognize that I returned to the store within 48 hours and asked for assistance. I then spoke with the supervisor, ?Sam, who was just an asshole and told me the same thing. PLEASE DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES AT LOWES. They're the worst when it comes to customer service. Now I am stuck with a messed up refrigerator that I bought with my hard-earned money; no credit! the picture does not do any justice because of the light. The streaks look way worse than it shows on the picture.

I bought a dryer. On delivery on 7/27/23, the delivery guys hooked up the dryer, but in the process took the drain hose from the washing machine out of the drain and it was laying on floor of washroom without our knowledge. We did a load of laundry and when the washing machine drained out the water, it went on the floor of washroom behind washing machine and seeped under wall and thru floor down into ceiling of living room. Water was pouring out. Damage to ceiling was extensive with sagging sheet rock and water stains. We cleaned up water on Love seat and wood floor. I went by Lowes that afternoon. Customer service desk called a store manager on radio...they said the delivery service was used and I would have to call # on my receipt, they were busy and not the stores problem. I then called Lowes from # on receipt and went thru everything that happened. They said someone would call me. I waited a couple days, no one called. I called back. Explained all over again, was told claims would call me. No one called. Finally around 2 weeks later someone called and told me where to email pictures of damage with explanation of incident. I sent the email on 8/8/23. I didn't hear anything back, so called on 8/15. Was told someone would call me back. No one did. I called again, left message. Finally on 8/31, over a month after the incident, I got an email from Spirit Logistics, the delivery company Lowe's uses. The email requested that I resubmit the claim. IT has NOW been 2 months that I have been dealing with Spirit Logistics, 3 months since delivery, and I have gotten no where to this date. No updates after continuous emails and msgs left to delivery company. Lowes is no help. I will NOT be buying from LOWES again. This has been the worst experience I have had in purchasing things. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service when it comes to damage claims from LOWES and delivery company. Go Somewhere else to spend your money!!! Order#472180728

We just had the worst experience at the Palm Springs Lowes. We were forced to pick up a water heater from the Victorville Calif Lowes because it wasn’t available any where else. And no one would deliver it. It turned out it wouldn’t fit - we never opened the box - we found out by measuring. We called the Victorville Lowes and we’re told we could return it to any Lowes. So we took it to the Palm Springs one. The Palm Springs Lowes refused to take it. We are canceling our account.

I bought a new dishwasher last week. It was delivered Friday 10/13 around 4pm. Over the weekend I set it up, to find it would not work and was running an error code. After a bit of troubleshooting, the error code states there is an issue with the motherboard on the unit. I called lowes.com at 8:30am on Monday 10/16 to report the issue and ask to exchange the unit for one that functions. I was told I should have called during the weekend since their 48 hour policy for returns is not business hours. Now I'm being forced to wait for the manufacture to send a repair person to confirm what I've told them. It will take 3 weeks for the repair person to get here and we will most likely have to wait a few more days after that for lowes to replace the broken unit they sold me. Meanwhile, I do not have a functioning dishwasher, my kitchen is ripped apart waiting for the repair person, and I'm hand doing dishes for the next month. I was told had I called Sunday afternoon they would have had no issue replacing it, but because I waited until Monday morning they will not. Thank you for absolutely nothing lowes.com, all I asked for was you to replace the broken dishwasher you sold me....

This company has really gone downhill over the last decade. I have been a 20 year customer and spent 10s of thousands of dollars with Lowes. I tried to buy a dishwasher and this began around 9/25, it is 10/16 and I still don't have my dishwasher and won't for another 10 days because Lowe's install contractor refuses to give customers priority service.

Oct 15th went to Lowe’s to purchase a refrigerator. Found a salesperson told him what I was looking for. Found what I wanted, while we were talking a couple came in. Salesman told me to have a seat. What did he do, went over and took care of them. Sat there 20 minutes. I finally got up and left. As I was leaving the salesman sitting down with that couple doing business with them. I left and will never do busines with Lowe’s again. That was down right ignore and very unprofessional.

It’s so disappointing to go in to Lowe’s in September and see all the Christmas decorations out and not much of Halloween. Don’t shove Christmas down our throats when Halloween isn’t even here.

IS there a NEGATIVE STAR? We have had the absolute worst service! First of all I have NEVER in my 57 years left a bad review for anyone. But your store has really done a number on us and we have had it. We ordered $25,000 in windows back in October of 2022. Installation was in January 23 BUT our one slider was damaged and one of our bathroom windows had not been measured correctly and could not be installed either. Additionally the Caulking was the wrong color and had to be changed and this came from the installers that day! They also left a 2 inch wide hole at the transition of the other slider to to our flooring! We were told it would all be fixed....It is now almost May We were told TWO other doors were ordered and both had been damaged and could not be installed. We have STILL not heard back on our bathroom window and the caulking and transition area have yet to be fixed! They did send one buy to caulk ; he did the inside and stated the exterior had been done wrong and needed to be redone....we are being completely ghosted by the salesperson, the installer and the store Manager : Modesto, Ca. We have HAD IT! We demand to get some answers on this! We financed and are paying a $25,000 bill for a job that is not complete !!!! PLEASE CONTACT US !

the entire installation was horrible. No communication. material delivered was wrong. store associates indifferent. I will NEVER use Lowe's again for not one single thing. I will go back to shopping at Home Depot. The whole process reflected so much incompetency its ridiculous! Once I pay my account off, I am cutting up the card and closing the account. I will not buy as much as a plant from Lowe's again. I will go to walmart's garden section before I darken the doorstep of Lowe's again. Every service/installation I have received/paid for with Lowes this year has been horrible and half done! Beware, don't go to Lowe's if you want people to care, do good work, and follow through with their promises. Wish there was a 0 stars, 1 is too good!

I purchased a water heater from Lowe's. The installer was efficient and pleasant, the help desk was very pleasant though it took several calles to get helped. However, the price charged was roughly four times the price quoted. They charged $300 for a valve they sell in the store for about $35, for example, and many other vastly overpriced "Misc" items. I consider their inflated charged to be borderline fraudulent and would strongly encourage you NOT to do business with them.

Last time I'll ever darken their doors. I've said that before and then tried again. Worst customer service of any big box store by far. Reason doesn't matter, it would just be one of several bad experiences. Looks like I'm not alone. Funny part is Lowe's could care less, they seemingly answer to their investors and at the end of the day one customer doesn't matter to them. Amazingly Home Depot is always allot busier in my area, can't imagine why! Maybe they should read about why builders square went the way it did.

I became a Lowes pro when in April when my neighbor & I started a home rehab business. At Lowes whichever Pro account specialist take ur order only they can help u!! So, when we ordered for a lady who took a vacation, when we had a problem, we had to wait for her to return. Why? Bcuz they make commission on their own sales so, they don’t help if it’s not their sale. Lowes uses 3rd party delivery company, pros pay $20 for delivery however they can’t guarantee delivery! We had items delivered 4 or 5 times. Items were left off but no one let us know. They drop & leave. No signature no allowing us to go over the invoice. I pay my guys by the hour, we lost a total of 12 hours so far for 3 men so actually 36 hours! This week our order from over a week earlier didn’t show up, guys were on the job site but no one showed. Nothing in the computer about it not going. After I waited for the person who put our order in (she was with another customer) she called delivery co and was told they made the decision NOT to deliver bcuz we had drywall. But we didn’t have drywall! Someone at a truck company made a decision on something they know nothing about! I spoke to the manager at Lowes in Roanoke, he smiled and said there’s nothing he can do about it, period! I called Lowes Corp and of course they couldn’t help. I asked for a manager but I was told there was NO MANAGER on duty but one would call the next morning. No one ever called. I’m not surprised! We found a new Lumber yard in Roanoke that we will use from now on. 1/2 the price of Lowes. My cousin has a saw mill, we will also get product from him. Ace Hardware is giving us contractor prices on plumbing and electric items. Lowes may have started out good but those days are just gone!!

After being a long term general customer which also includes ordering flooring, blinds, and a custom countertop, we used them to replace our old wood deck with a composite structure to the tune of $14k. Basic rectangular ground level deck. Took builder 7 days to remove and install a 12x16' deck. There were a lot of materials left, roughly $500 worth. Builder said he would take with him, we could keep, or send back to Lowe's. Called Lowe's and they offered to send a truck with skid loader and once returned they would credit us back. Truck picked up material but no contact after. Now store and corporate states we don't pay for the material but rather for a package and won't refund anything. How can you pay for a package without the material.? Why would we send, for free, $500 worth of material back to them? Lowe's said they automatically order extra material so beware, you are paying for material that won't be used!! Lowe's competition accepts returns and credits back. Lowe's has lost a long time customer!!!

The appliance return policy is a joke. You have 48 hours to return a appliance. Seriously. 48 hours? You buy a range for your kitchen that’s being remodeled and you only have 48 hours to return it. We bought it Friday night after work. Monday when it was to be installed is over 48 hours so finding out it didn’t work then is to late to return it. I will never darken the door of a lowes store again. The manager was very rude when I called and told me to sell it on market place. They have lost me for a customer. I’m sure they don’t care but hopefully me writing this will save someone the hassle I’ve been through.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We signed a contract in September 2021 for the purchase and installation of windows and sliding glass doors. The estimated date of delivery was January 2022. When January arrived, the date was perpetually pushed back. Some of the product was delivered mid-March and the installation process began March 30. The subcontractors installed 2 sliding glass doors improperly (they have failed inspection) and left 3 inch gaps in our stucco surrounding the sliders. The subcontractors also installed a large bay window which they either cracked the frame of while installing or installed a damaged product. Because Lowe's is the permit runner, Lowe's is responsible for contacting the inspector to do a partial inspection in order to move forward with finishing this project--Lowe's never did. I was told repeatedly that because of the way the permit is written, they could not have a partial inspection completed. Finally, after a month of exposed stucco and improperly installed product, I spoke with my municipality personally. The inspector was at our home in less than 24 hours. Lowe's NEVER even tried to help with this part of the process and LIED over the phone. Following the inspection, I was the one left responsible for getting the inspection report to the subcontractors because apparently Lowe's doesn't care at all about their customers. Now the subcontractors are dragging their feet to come fix the damages and failed items. This is not a supply issue now, this is negligence. Lowe's cannot tell us when the rest of our product will arrive or when we will have the damages repaired. We are looking into any and all legal options at this point to remedy the situation. DO NOT HIRE LOWE'S FOR WINDOW AND DOOR INSTALLATION.
