Wife always complains she never gets any flowers. Her favourite are dark red roses. Sister in law who works for M&S recently had bouquet sent to my wife who had been hospitalised. Gave me idea to arrange a delivery for our wedding anniversary. Order no: 301-0033287-4110016. When arrived she was highly delighted. Unfortunately did not last long due to condition of roses. Promise of buds but all roses were in full bloom with black petals. She did not want them to be returned but agreed I should send a review. M&S known for good quality but this was well below standard. Will I buy again. No way. Now a week and leaves are dropping and one rose dried up had to be thrown. Yes we do know how to look after bouquets. Also mention to my sister in law next time see her. Anyone reading this do not buy roses from M&S as you will be throwing your money away.

Severe lack of gluten free products in the Rushden Lakes cafe. No choice of sandwiches on display, only one biscuit/cake choice, and a very poor choice of bread accompaniments to hot food. E.g. it wasn’t possible to have a gluten free bacon roll, but the roll was available for soup. How can this happen within a big concern such as Marks and Spencer. Obviously someone in the catering department should show a little more knowledge and care.

5-pack No VPL Microfibre High Leg Knickers: I bought a pack of these as I’d purchased the ‘same’ product before which were excellent. Major disappointment this time: the material is a lot flimsier than my previous ones and the material over the bottom only partially covers mine. I’m a size 12 with a small bottom! Also these aren’t quite wide enough around the tops of my thighs at the front. Just like everyone else they are just using cheaper products which let down their quality reputation. Going off on a tangent, I used to love the Per Una range. Whoever the buyers were when this range started up really knew what they were doing with beautiful clothes…sadly this all went downhill ages ago too. I would totally understand if M n S closed down altogether, too much ‘tat’ and ‘dowdy’ stuff plus cheap imports I store these days. Sooo disappointing!!

The recent clothing I ordered on sale was of bad quality. The fit and comfort level is not as good as it was. Not happy with the product this time

Ordered online the Fragrance Society hand wash set. When it arrived one of the black tops of the pump was completely missing and the other black top was broken off and lying loose in the package. So disappointing as the fragrance was lovely! Have arranged a return!

M&S chicken and mushroom risotto. Chilled. Single portion, contains 3.52 grams of salt - that's 59% of the rda. It tasted like brine!

I have just been to you store at Exebridges in Exeter to buy some Ameretto, but I found you did not stock any after drinks except for port and brandy which I find surprising. Is there a reason for this and if there is I would like to know why. Regards Dirk Grant

I always wear Per Una embellished jeans £39.50 They are so comfortable & a bit more dressy than my every day jeans .I bought a black pair in Dec but after just a few washes they had faded especially down the seams .waistband & pockets .( I wash them inside out on a cool 14 min wash) my local branch kindly exchanged them for a new pair in February .These have been washed about 6 times & have gone exactly the same way .They look so faded & shabby I wouldn't even go out in them .I am very disappointed in the quality of this product .definitely not worth the price & I would not recommend them

Has anyone else been made to feel like a leper in M&S? From being told l cannot try clothes on in store because of ‘germs’ to being told to open bags of returned clothes myself to limit ‘germs’ l have never felt so unwelcome. As far as l know there is no scientific evidence that Covid 19 remains on clothes, in any case having to try them on at home would surely increase the viral load if there were. Presumably why the charming assistant today refused to touch the bags. Is M&S trying to force its customers to use mail order only and save money by then closing stores? Although it might suit the assistant l encountered today better to work in a warehouse like an Amazon drone, she clearly had a problem encountering people. Why are assistants not supplied with disposable gloves if they are that worried. Sizing of clothes in M&S is so unreliable now buying anything has turned into a real chore, what a shame such an unpleasant buying experience is the new normal when other shops who weren’t allowed to stay open in lock down are actually welcoming customers.

I am not complaining about a particular thing , only the lack of lovely bedding . Wanting to buy nice new bedding for quite a while , and the bedding always used to be the place to go for lovely style . At the moment there is nothing grabbing my attention, all a bit old fashioned and the colours not so good . Been a M&S shopper all my life and I am 65 now ....

Bought a selection of Chinese food for 2 today. Chicken was as tasteless as Macnuggets, ditto prawn toast which was soggy. Only good thing were the spare ribs. Looked round men's dept at same store (Welwyn Garden City). Dismal selection. Shirts are mainly slim or tailor fit. Floor space reduced to accommodate a coffee bar. M&S has truly lost its way.

Bought ankle grazer joggers today size12 short Length was 29 ins left leg and 291/2 ins right leg. Noticed size 14 goes up to 31 ins. I am 5ft tall and size 14short used to fit perfectly. What has happened to your sizing l have heard lots of people complaining about the short length being longer. I should like to see this rectified so I can continue to buy from M & S.

Feeling very low I have received a email from mark's and Spencer about the family meal deal for mother's Day but it is in-store only and we are all shielding and no one can drive in our house and we do not have any transport or family to help us so we miss out yet again on a amazing deal

I love shopping for food at M&S (Haverfordwest) but it may be time to bring the checkouts up to speed Last week the till froze after all my shopping had been scanned, my son had taken the goods out to the car and I was told I would have to bring it all back and re-scan it - this I declined to do (I am 76 and have better things to do) This took over twenty minutes to rectify. This week my shopping totalled over £170 and even when beer was removed from the total was still far in excess of £140 but the till would not accept my coupon for £14, after ten minutes I gave up and paid the full amount. The staff were excellent but found it hard to deal with the problems with the tills and I am £14 short. Please sort this out.

Having been a regular shopper with M & S for many years I am increasingly disappointed with the quakity of the items now been sold. In the past 2 weeks I have had to return 4 pairs of trousers due to very poor fit in what are clearly 'skinny fit' and not 'regular'. Previously this exact item had been bought and worn with ease. The fleece jacket also had to be returned and 2 sizes smaller ordered. The blouse I ordered was 2 sizes too small, the fabric felt cheap and the buttons poorly stitched. To add insult I then had to print off my own returns label and a postage label. This wonderful store is sadly on track to follow so many others, but this is not due to Covid. It is down to the buy cheap mentality when M & S has always been about quality. You want cheap - the market is flooded. Quality? Go to M & S, buts its a gamble.

I returned items due to sizing, but received refund for only 1 of the items. M&S return label shows both items, however M&S distance selling platform makes it impossible for me to proof that i requested 2 refunds rather than one. A deficient online platform if compared to retailers such as amazon, where you always have individual tracking for each item.

This review is in relation to M & S Skippers Lane, Middlesbrough Branch and would possible have been allocated at least 4 stars, apart from one serious compaint. There are no complaints whatsoever regarding staff, or social distancing etc. It is difficult, however, for many people to understand why the toilets are closed in this store and yet only a few miles away in the main Middlesbrough store, the toilets are open. My family and myself follow, to an exceptionally high level, all the safety regulation re:covid, but feel that the toilets are closed, without justification. The toilets are spacious and if necessary, one cubicle could be closed. Furthermore there would not be a problem with marking one washbasin 'out of use'. Customers in store, are far closer in proximity to one another than they would be when using the toilet facilities. My elderly mother.in.law, and many more, are very concerned that she would not be allowed to use the toilet facilites. At Christmas time, customers doing a large shop were more likely to spend a longer time in store than they would normally. We very much appreciate all the safety precautions that this store is taking, however, the closure of the toilets is a step too far. Customers are informed that they can use the toilets in B & Q at the opposite end of Skippers Lane Retail Park (a fair distance), only to find that they are also not allowed to use the very spacious toilets in that store. Obviously, there is lack of communication between M&S., Linthorpe Rd., Middlesbrough and M&S Skippers Lane, Middlesbrough. There is also a difference in the judgment skills of Management in the two M&S Middlesbrough stores. Management in M&S Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough branch have achieved the correct balance.
