M&S food usually quite good but pricey. Just had the worst mashed potato ever (normally make my own but short of time). Texture of wallpaper paste, bland and tasteless. Even the cheap discount stores do better. Consigned to the bin. Waste of money.

M&S use DPD for delivery. These couriers are notorious for cancelling deliveries last minute and not informing customers of this. I booked a delivery for a date and DPD changed it without informing me. When I changed the date back to my nominated date for delivery, I got an email confirming delivery. DPD then changed it again without telling me. I enquired with the M&S helpline and they took no responsibility for this and went so far as to accuse me of changing my delivery date (I merely changed it back to my nominated date). This is shambolic for a company that claims to pride itself on customer satisfaction.

I placed an order early July on line for a bedroom furniture set. All was in stock when ordering. I then receive a text to let me arrange my own best date for delivery. The first date it gave me was 27th August! After many calls between myself and customer service, they discover that half the items are not in stock until then but I can have part of the order delivered that week. Today, after a 6 week wait, my two wardrobes are delivered and built by the delivery men. My son was shown a picture when they came downstairs and all looked fine. I get home at lunchtime to find packaging strewn all over the house from the front door up. Then a piece of wood laying across my bed. This was the hanging rail. Not put in due to the fact that the fitting on each of the wardrobe had a two inch height difference - meaning my hangers will all fall to one end!!! After a lengthy conversation with the Customer Service department, even escalating this to the Manager, I am told I will receive a telephone call in 48 hours to let me know when a third party technician, employed by M&S, will be available to come and see if there is a problem!! Yes, there is a problem. How dare I be doubted. I have been left with a wardrobe not fit for purpose. I was told to store my clothes in the wardrobe if I was upset they were on the floor! Where - the rail is not working? Fuming! I bought from what I thought was a reputable company and would get better service from an Amazon supplier at half the cost.

In M&S Aberdeen staff in men’s clothing had no idea what was actually in stock in the store. Two of the staff members had such poor interpersonal skills they would not even look me in the eye and one left me standing silently for several minutes while she tried and failed to see what was in stock using a handheld device. She did not even explain what she was doing or interact with me in any way. So disappointed as the menswear section used to have excellent personal service. Staff need urgent customer training.

In store issue on customer care, health & safety and first aid. None satisfactory in Havant store, but, trying to find an email address is impossible. Your site says can email, but no address only chargeable phone number or a very small on line form. Need email address!!!!

Two meals. One Vegetable Moussaka. No aubergine. Only mashed lentils and just 3 potato slices. Masses of Bechamel. New recipe. Not nearly as good as the previous. Lentils are cheap and so are aubergines. Two Lamb and mint Pie. Nice crust. Dry lamb mince which I did not expect. No taste of mint. Both dishes very disappointing. Lentils are not cheap ingredients as are aubergines.

Bought items online in May, returned them and got confirmation of return on 6 June. Nothing since and no refund so far. It took 2 minutes to charge my credit card but after 70 days I still don't have anything back. Quite dire returns management.

I went to the Marks n sparks in Ayr in Scotland on Tuesday 13/8/19. My mum and myself went upstairs to the women's underwater department we were looking to get fitted right for a bra size, we wandered around the whole top floor eventually after being from changing rooms to shoes to undertake and there being no staff we went to the customer help desk only to be told someone had just headed that way we get to them and are told bra measurements are done by appointment only. Fair to say we were disappointed lucky I've a supper mamma who made a few guestemets and we took a few to the changing room no staff there or to be seen so just went ahead got help from mum and she made a good guess. Quite a bad experience to be fair. Only for the love of mothers.

Poor Service, Very Poor Customer Service

The customer service is appalling. Bought a cake for my son's birthday on the 25th July for his birthday on the 26th July and realised the it was best before the 26th! So went back to get a better sell by date and the treatment we received in store was shocking and also when we phoned the customer service. I'm being generous with a single star it should be a minus star|

I wanted fish and chips and the branch were out of stock (as they were with a lot of things) so I bought the Gastropub version which included ‘mushy peas’. For their information mushy peas are just that, soft, mushy peas. What I got was a sachet of green liquid that went straight in the bin. Then the only difference with their standard fish and chips was the size of the fish and the amount of chips. Won’t be buying this again - and by the way will no longer use Ocado for home delivery after September next year.

No, M&S, I don't want to be a part time unpaid cashier and use a self-service till. I've got a job, thanks, and it's one that pays. What next, a bit of light shelf-stacking? all that ensures is that I'll be spending even less in your food shops than I do already. Your company is going downhill so fast that it'll be a merciful release when it happens. I can't actually remember the last time I bought anything but the occasional food item from you and once I spent hundreds of pounds at a time. That, of course, was when you sold things that customers actually wanted to buy.

Just collected a "prepared meal" from M & S Cribbs Causeway which proved to be merely 2 Gastropub meals put in a cardboard box. I could have picked these from the shelf myself without the seemingly inevitable long wait at understaffed Click and Collect. Then I visited the new "improved" Deli counter. Most of the items that were previously carefully served by a member of staff, after the inevitable wait, are now wrapped in cellophane. Otherwise there are large bowls of salad unprotected from customers' breath. Also please bring your own plastic containers in future. Obviously Marks and Spencer are dealing with the current retail crisis by employing fewer people and making customers do it themselves. How glad I am that I have discovered Morrisons Deli Counter and well staffed check out facilities

Found a brown hair (I'm ginger) in my plant kitchen chocolate mousse. Complained to M&S (they make this as difficult as possible) who never bothered to respond. I made it clear I wasn't after money or replacement, just confidence that the issue would be investigated. After this disappointing experience I'll move my custom to Lidl and Aldi. I won't mourn the demise of M&S.

Pants. That's right, womens pants to be more specific. Can someone tell me why the gusset width on M & S pants is shrinking in size? I'm only a size 8 to 10, but I do require a gusset that's wider than my watch strap, without having to resort to a full brief that restricts my waist. I just bought 3 for 2, but I didn't realise that meant only 2 gussets between them! When I got them home and tried them on, I found them pretty uncomfortable, so compared them with a pair I bought last year - yes, they're narrower. What's going on??

Very disappointed recently with food quality in M&S. Firstly a visit to Manchester store to the cafe. I am gluten free. The sandwiches have been the same two choices for years often none at all. My last visit there was gluten free soup advertised with a gluten free roll only to be told no bread rolls. It was only 12 miday!!! Asked if they could get bread from shop floo The answer. We never do that. Net bought a chicken breast joint so tough my knife would not go through it. Wasted it. It cost £10 50 to go in the bin. No more shopping there for me

Very very disappointed the quality of M&S past has really lowered in their food department. Fruit perishes very quickly that is if you lucky to get 50% of a punnet of soft fruit in good condition to initially use! The readymade foods also are not what they used to be either..... As a seasoned M&S shopper as is my partner I have begun to shop elsewhere and was stunned to find great fruit and veg in places like Iceland, Aldi and Lidl, they are far more competitive and the standard amazing!!!! M&S you need to pull your socks up this is NOT acceptable....

The shopping experience at The Moseley M&S store is consistently poor. They are putting out the goods for hours after the store opens making it impossible to get down the aisles to buy food. The worst thing is that they don’t put anyone on the tills prioritising putting out the food. If someone eventually turns up at the till the queue is really long. I hear the mama her telling an old lady that they will not be manning the tills before 10 am. I usually buy a fair amount and even if I didn’t this is high prices and bad service. They put back the opening times of the store without customer consultation and there are always beggars outside the front. Sometimes they are aggressive. A sore which runs for the benefit of its managers. A poor supply chain and bad attitudes by staff who ignore long queues at the till.
