M&S great brand and reputation for a reason - excellent customer service Had a web chat today with Taryna (I think) who helped me out in a quick efficient fashion. I was sorry my battery died before I got to say thank you properly. Excellent excellent excellent couldn’t be happier!

The cake tasted lovely but does anyone else think it doesn’t resemble the no 9?

Awful “costumer services”. They couldn’t bothered to switch a t-shirt that was £9.50 which had oil on it and WASN’T clearly labelled oil. Never shopping in this shop again!

Purchased a £5 Plant Kitchen, Roasted Mushroom Stroganoff [ 2 x 2 portions] It was cooked as instructed but when plated it looked dreadful, had avery unpleaseant odour and tasted as bad as it appeared. The cauilflower rice was "differet" to say the least. Four portions weighing 1.4 kg in total went straight into the food recycling bin. Surely the tasting panel of M & S can do much better?

Just received a My Little Shop collectible having spent over £20 in store to qualify. It’s a dummy pack of M&S salted popcorn which is 5cm x 4cm. The collector’s card that comes with it tells me M&S have reduced the packaging on their popcorn by decreasing the amount of air in the bags. Reduce the cost of packaging, but keep the product cost the same. Simple economics. M&S however see this as a ‘save the planet’ measure. The nutrition information on the back of the pack, which could actually be of educational value to their target audience (children) is microscopic and totally illegible. There are 25 to collect so you’d have to spend over £500 to get them all, assuming no duplicates. M&S suggest there will be a swap facility, but that seems more trouble than it’s worth. The collector box will cost you £3, and you can buy mini trolleys, baskets and an apron which the cashier said were £10 each. I certainly won’t be adding to the collection.

Having torn a calf muscle and being very restricted I find myself waiting in the café area at Shawham Marks & Spencer‘s, while my wife continued the shopping. The café manager, Sandy, recognised that I was in difficulty, and very kindly brought me a cup of tea as I was incapable of going out to Kew. This kind of service is all too rare In the corporate world, and she is an outstanding example of an excellent ambassador for her business

I had lunch with my daughter in the Hastings branch on Sunday. After receiving the food I had to ask for my change but had to wait until they served the next customer to open the till. I was asked how much I was due and truthfully replied 10p. I could have said any amount as she did not check the till receipt. When I mentioned I did not receive a receipt I was told they only gave receipts if asked as they are cutting back on the use of paper. May I suggest you cut back on paper use some other way as a customer has no proof if they have received the correct amount. Also no one apologised for the error

I felt compelled to tell you about a heartwarming visit I had to your store in Southampton. I purchased some items in the food hall and was served by a young lady who had Down’s syndrome. What an amazing woman. I would like to commend you for giving her a position in your store. I have a severely autistic eight year old grandson and it warms my heart to think that when he becomes an adult he might be treated with the respect and help that all disabled people deserve. Well done M&S and thank you

4th Quiche I have bought from Marks and Spencer, that is raw in the middle. This is a health concern as I like to eat cold Quiche. Raw egg is not my idea of a nice lunch.

Excellent quality at very reasonable prices. It's a myth that M&S is expensive as there are so many food offers on every week - and even more with their Sparks scheme. OK, they're not as cheap as Aldi, Lidl and ASDA but, given the exceptional quality of food, it's worth paying that little bit more and they're way cheaper than Sainsbury's, Waitrose etc. Their clothing and beauty sections are also good value. Not wear once and throw away like Primark but who wants that in these days of climate change and foreign sweat shops?

Meal deal slow cooked peppered beef. Opened packet needed a magnifying glass. This is beyond a joke M&S. Would have taken it back but live 8 miles away. Good job I had a lot of vegetables to bulk up the meal as not enough for 1 person never mind saying it’s for 2. Advice don’t waste your money, the meal deals used to be good value, but over the last few months, portion size has been reduced significantly.

my wife was falsely accused of theft by the duty manager and was told to leave the premises and then to add insult was told she was barred from the town centre. The duty manager was very rude and refused my wifes offer to call the police to sort the matter out .MY wife at this point was very distressed and in tears but was then told again to leave even when she showed her goods and matching receipt . she is totally distraught and humiliated

I have been a customer for over 30 years I buy all my clothes from marks. This week I have been in 3 different stores and in all 3 I found the Staff unhelpful and they made me feel that I should not be asking for their help. Where are the smiling friendly staff gone? They were all miserable and unhelpful I am sorry to I left marks a bit depressed.

I am a massive fan of M&S food and love the food Hall, but really sorry! think I have found a meal that really doesn't belong, it's the mushroom strogonoff (which is so far from a stroganoff believe me) and cauliflower I can't finish the meal and It is destined for the bin.

This morning I was racially profiled by a member of your staff, Elizbieta Mahmud, in front of my 13 year old daughter and a large crowd of other shoppers. I have shopped at Marks and Spencer for around 30 years and I am a well dressed black woman from an academic background. I inform you of this as I do not want my being accused of shop lifting in your store to be explained under any other heading than racial profiling. At 9:57 I was walking out of your store with my shopping and daughter when Ms Mahmud chased after me and grabbed my purchased Orange Mango Press juice out of my bag. She said “you haven’t paid for that,” in an angry voice. I said “yes I have” and took the juice out of her hand. She did not ask for a receipt but I walked with her back to the till and she called a manager who confirmed the purchase. It was clear that this was not the outcome that she intended as she walked away without recognising her mistake. I then asked Ms Mahmud to come and see the receipt, to which she rudely refused. She did not apologies or recognise her mistake and I left the store feeling humiliated and angry. After a few minutes to collect my thoughts, I returned and asked the security guard if I could see the manager, I told the manager and his colleague that I had been racially profiled and asked to be given the staff members name. He was very apologetic but this does not leave me feeling any less aggrieved. I feel that Ms Mahmud should be trained in how to deal with customers and also how to spot a shoplifter from a regular customer. I am sure that this experience will stay in the mind of my daughter and myself for a long time and regret that it happened in a shop that we visit consistently throughout the week. Whilst I understand that diversity training cannot fully remove instances of racial profiling, I do think that for this member of staff it would be beneficial and hope that Marks and Spencer will take action to provide this for Ms Mahmud.

When we come into your Newcastle store it is always a lovely experience. Amela and Peter on Gents are so helpful and cheerful helping my husband in any way they can. Being a lady who has difficulties Amanda on ladies always makes her way to help. She gives me good genuine advice on what she thinks would suit me. She goes out of her way to look around and bring items to me. I always go home happy with my purchase. We even went into the store when a soft tag had been left on a purchase from another shop0 causing the bleeper to go. Suzie the security guard was lovely and told us not to worry. Checking items for us. Now we can laugh when we see her she is so cheerful.
