When I had the initial consultation I was assured that the team would be thorough and spend as long as they need to clean my house too to bottom and only leave when the job was done. I was told we didn’t need an initial clean as our house was clean and tidy and recommended a fortnightly clean. On the first clean, the cleaning team were only in my house for a total of 40 minutes, to clean a 3 bedroom house, including main bathroom and downstairs loo. The bathroom was clean and it smelt like it had been vacuumed but if a note hadn’t been left on the side in the kitchen and the toilet roll folded into triangles then I wouldn’t have know they’d been in my house. I clean my bathroom and down stairs loo, Polish all furniture etc thoroughly myself once and week, hoover twice a day. I purposely left it as I knew the cleaning team were coming. The skirting boards were missed, no furniture or ornaments had been moved, the microwave wasn’t thoroughly cleaned nor had the cupboards, doors or sides been wiped down. I was extremely disappointed and called the local management straight away to express my disappointment. Hiring someone to come and clean your house was a big division for my husband and myself as we’re thorough. My husband also spoke to the mamaneent and we were told that 3 ladies came on the day and one was in training. It was agreed that they would revisit again on the Friday. The two ladies that came confirmed that there were 3 but no one was in training. Therefore the lady in the head office had lied to my husband to make an excuse for a shoddy job! Upon coming on the Friday, I was also told that they weren’t told it was a first clean house. They cleaned the house again and although they were more thorough I was less than impressed when they entered my house with grass over their shoes and didn’t take them off, which left the front porch with grass over the carpet. I won’t be recommending molly maid and the price charged is extortionate considering what was confirmed would be done in the consultation and what work was done.

A very unsatisfactory service, expectations were to return to a clean house having paid £78.00 for the privilege. Many missed areas, false promises and poorly trained staff. Sadly the whole house had to be re cleaned by myself.....defeating the point of employing a company to ease some pressure.

What a terribly disappointing company. They promised big - a 14 hour spring clean compared to a 3 hour regular clean. Obviously that comes at a price but I couldn’t wait to see my spanking clean house! Unfortunately they fell far short of the mark with basics neglected including dusting and mopping the kitchen floor. Goodness knows what they did with the extra 11 hours! The office was sure they could do better next time but couldn’t return for 4 days. By that time I had guests arriving so it had to be dealt with immediately. Molly Maid at this stage we’re only interested in demonstrating via their terms how they didn’t have to. Of course you pay in full for the pleasure of their disregard. This is certainly not a company I can do business with.

Tenants of my house arranged for the kitchen and bathrooms to be cleaned at the end of the tenancy. When I arrived at the house I was mortified to find that the cooker and shower had been ruined. The chrome had been damaged by cleaning products and will cost me to replace the complete shower enclosure. When I telephoned the Sheffield office, the lady was very unhelpful and defensive. I would advise to stay clear of this company.

Two calls, both late, first time 35 min, no warning, second time 55 min no warning or apology given. Called office to enquire about this, no-call back no explanation. Cleaning not properly done, visible shelves and windowsills not dusted or cleaned. very poor standard of cleaning. Staff member just complains that not enough time to do proper cleaning.

4 Lights left on in house, bath mats left on top of toilet, chrome not cleaned in shower, front of fridge not cleaned, bath not cleaned, things moved to one side in kitchen & left & when I moved them back that area hadn't been cleaned , poor cleaning in utility room. Although I phoned to complain & was offered for windows to be cleaned next time I really feel that I shouldn't have to pay for this dreadful clean

Arranged for a first time spring clean in advance of a regular weekly clean. Two cleaners came and quality of the clean was poor. We requested that they changed the bedding, this was not completed despite my partner being in the house at the time. Standard of clean was poor, no dusting of skirting boards, floor cleaning was not completed and bathroom clean was certainly not thorough and limescale was left on the bath and taps. A mug was broken and nothing was said by the cleaners. My partner complained to the company and we were promised a call back. The owner of the franchise did indeed call back but denied anything was wrong and then threatened in an aggressive way that unless full payment was received immediately we wold be served with a "solicitors letter". Needless to say we will not be using them again,

Our tenants had Molly Maids in to clean the property when they moved out. As the landlord I was very disappointed in the standard of cleaning. The bed was not moved and there were tissues behind and also the skirting board was covered in dust, there was dust all along the bed frame. there was dust behind all the radiators, there was hair from a hair cut on the chair in the kitchen the microwave door was smeared and not cleaned properly. I certainly would not use Molly Maids, or recommend them.

3 cleaning ladies stayed a maximum of 1 hour. Total cost to me £90.Economical with the materials used, obviously needed to be somewhere else. Hence house not cleaned to any kind of satisfaction.

Cleaning and dusting wasn't done properly, a lot of areas were missed despite being reminded. It was rushed, there were brown water marks left on my kitchen floor and my downstairs toilet wasn't even cleaned. Very poor service for the amount of money I paid.

Initial clean not done to a good standard. Follow up clean done extremely poorly and lots missed. Manager for the area dismissed claims that the clean was too quickly done. Extremely disappointed and will be recommending friends to not go with the service

2 ladies were cleaning for 10' an area of 50 sq. m. They did not move a thing on the desks to wipe them properly. They cleaned the internal windows only after the director reminded them to do it, although it was clearly agreed in advance. They cleaned 50% of the inner part of the roof windows, because they did not have a ladder, although this was clearly asked and it was agreed that the inner part of the roof windows would be cleaned. I really doubt if a person can vaccum an area of 50 sq. m in 10' properly. And on top of this, they were very careless and stained the carpet with their things. They tried to clean the stains they caused, only when the director complained. Furthermore, the price agreed was 60 GBP for every alternate week., meaning 30 GBP for each time. This would mean reasonable if somebody really cleaned the office. But, 30 GBP for 10' of 2 people, means 30 GBP for 20' of work, meaning the hour of cleaning costs 90 GBP per hour!!! Well, no, thank you!!

After the first clean were told we couldn't have the same cleaner so Clifford sent an e-mail telling us that we should contact him if we wanted to proceed with another cleaner. I didn't get in contact. Two weeks later the (original) cleaner turned up to clean, unexpectedly. Two weeks after that I had an e-mail saying that the cleaner would be here at 9am. Not long after this my husband received a call telling us that 9am was too late and they would have to re-arrange for the afternoon. This was a different cleaner. My husband said we wanted the same person as she would know what to do - I was working away from home - and was told that 'she had heard he was rude' and that we should find someone else to clean. We work from home so consistency is important to us. Also my husband has terminal cancer and is in a vulnerable state at this time. He didn't want to have to explain everything to someone new.

Not thorough enough. Ironing has all had to be redone. Floor not cleaned for the second time. Skirting boards missed in some rooms again.

One cleaner spent the whole time in the house on the phone. One cleaner was seen in a room NOT being cleaned that day! There were bits left on the living room carpet. There were stains left on the underside of the toilet seat when they left. The living room recycling bin was emptied into the kitchen non-recycling bin - making it overfull so that it had to be washed out after they left. Not enough dusting done in the living room - some areas/items not touched. Promised a 'phone call on Thursday lunchtime about this - still waiting over 24 hours later. £95 for 30 minutes "work" is a joke when the rooms are not even left clean. Need I say more!

Very poor cleaning in kitchen and managed to break glass candle holder- didn't even Hoover up all broken glass!
