I’m actually not a customer but was shocked at the rude, passive aggressive emails I received from the franchise owner Tony Page. I would never use this company and am awaiting details of their complaints procedure. I’m shocked

I had an appointment with the local “Business Owner” this morning at 9.30 which was confirmed by both sides by e mail. She didn’t turn up I rang their local office and was told they would ring me back nothing so far ! Text messages and e mails have also generated no responses at all ~ Strikes me that it is an exceedingly way to run your business!!

Complaining about a particular cleaner in the Gerrards cross area, blonde lady with a severe acne issue. This individual was in a molly maid car and was beating her dog, when confronted she got extremely aggressive and threatened us. This individual smelt of alcohol and is an extremely bad representation of the company " molly maid" I advise the company to investigate this employee and sort this issue out asap.

Would give zero stars if possible. We originally arranged for MollyMaid Hampshire to clean our house every two weeks, at a cost of approx. £100 per clean (3 bed / 2 bath). Some of the girls were fantastic and it was decent quality. However this swiftly started to deteriorate, especially as the girls became less regular and varied week on week. Shelves would not be dusted, items would not be lifted to clean underneath, the 'mopping' consisted of simply moving dirt around the floor, etc. Basic items that we would inspect to be included as part of their 'promise to deliver a high quality clean'. Initially after sending photos of the poor quality to their manager, she agreed with us on poor quality and was receptive towards remediating it (even though we often offered to do it ourselves and they could just aim to improve the next time). However, the poor service continued, to the point we had mould growing on the bathroom walls as they were only given a cursory wipe (at best). The cleans became shorter and shorter, with the last clean only lasting an hour with two girls in attendance - as cost of £50ph! Manager then decided to go AWOL, viewing photos and agreeing to check with the team, but then deciding to go completely radio silent for two weeks despite the promise to feedback the next day. Eventually came back saying that she had checked with her team and they were mystified at the complaints, despite the photos. The manager, Elizabeth was incredibly unhelpful & quite rude, showing little interest in addressing any concerns, not remediating us for the high price we paid for a sub-quality clean and ignoring all images sent as evidence (instead signing the rhetoric that she had spoken to her team who has said they had completed a high quality job, what a shock). Even when we requested on occasion an increase to weekly cleans (a lower price point, £70), the team still charged us £100 - be careful they do not try to scam you. We even had one week where no one turned up at all, but we were still charged - it was only when we asked they pretended it was a "computer error". We would not recommend MollyMaid to anyone. High price points for poor quality cleans. If only they could keep the girls who complete a decent job and not have their manager Elizabeth involved at all!

I am writing this review on behalf of my 74 year old mother. She has been using Molly Maid for years and they have been taking advantage of her for years but she is too nice to say anything. They claim to charge a premium for the service to allow for flexibility. I’m not sure if the flexibility is right when it is for the cleaners to come when they like at any time and any day. Sometimes they don’t even come each week. It is completely adhoc. My mum has to make sure the smallest clutter is removed otherwise they clean around the objects and can’t even be bothered to lift them up. For this “premium” service my mum pays £70 for two people to come and “clean” for 45mins!!!! Absolutely shameful. I use a cleaning service myself and they charge £50 for one person to come for 3 hours and at least they move small objects like books and magazines!

From start to finish, Molly Maid Market Harborough was inefficient. Confusion with times of visit to a job poorly done. Two friendly maids arrived but did not do what I call a deep clean. Numerous areas left undone. I gave them a very generous tip when they left but had I thoroughly inspected their work first, would not have done so. As a very senior citizen, I feel I have been taken for a ride.

Cause MAJOR damage to my home and did not even acknowledge it Without a doubt the worse experience I’ve ever had from a company used for my home. The worst part was Babalo Jantjies cleaners dragged our bed across the floor resulting in major damage to the wooden floor. The floor will probably have to be replaced as the damage is so deep. When I contacted Babalo, no acknowledgment or apology was given and he simply said “ we clean behind the beds and that he told me”! Very low standard clean also and missed lots of parts of the house. Left surfaces dusty, a dirty cloth on my velvet chair, mirrors dirty, none of the upstairs floors were mopped, shower screen was not cleaned, viakall left dripping in the bathroom, taps missed.

A barely mobile lady and her heavily disabled son used these cleaners against my advice. For a cleaning company that came several times a week, the house was not clean. It is sad to see the weak get the worst service and be taken advantage of. Guilty of being too kind, in their innocence. I feel it fair to say that Molly Maid are a company that employs unqualified staff with bad work contracts. There is little to no incentive to do a good job. Management never comes to the premises to inspect the results and the only time you will ever see management is on the first day when signing the contract. After that, they "ghost" you all the way, in modern parlance. By default, the customer is placed in the position of the complainer, whereas it is their job to find out if the job is being done well. They are expensive, for a service you could do better yourself. Cleaning staff lacks a proactive attitude that can't be taught. They don't see the work nor do they look for it. Dust and cobwebs left in full view in the corners lead to absurd situations in which you almost have to tell the professionals their job. They will literally sweep round a paper bin without lifting it. They will not look behind doors either. For vulnerable people, it is very hard to get out of this contract which is another thing to consider. Among my various memories, one of the cleaners came in with the flu during Covid times, sneezing all over the house. Another stood around just 20 minutes after arrival, not knowing what to do other than butter a piece of toast for the elderly lady in question. We looked at her filling in her feedback on her phone on our clock. It led to uncomfortable looks between us as she stood in the surrounding mess, oblivious to it all. Fridge needed cleaning, grease needed cleaning off the extractor fan, armchairs needed moving...she had no idea. When she came out of her daydream and realized she was standing in the kitchen with another 20 minutes before leaving time, she would say "D'y want yer book?" and go and fetch it in the bedroom. (A phrase that became famous among us) For a house in which the residents hardly moved, it should have been spic and span to the highest degree. Maybe also there is the fact that cleaning is always rushed due to the number of houses they have on their schedule - a fact that the cleaners will happily share with you. I have no idea how this company stays in business by not caring to such an extent. The staff are only partly to blame, since it is clear they are not briefed or trained. Sorry, Mollies but fair is fair.

This was the worst clean I have ever had! I wish I had read these reviews before going ahead. They sell you a premium service. We had 2 out of 3 maids who were just office/admin staff and not even cleaners. Everything was the way we left it - barely any cleaning done. They didn't take bins out because apparently it was not on their "list" of things to do. Awful clean, awful customer service and a waste of a lot of money! I would give them negative stars if I could

Paid a first class ticket to fly in the hold of a low cost!! So disappointing. First clean was £200 and result was appalling. Cleaners consistently arriving late, breaking things, missing very obvious things (like food on the floor next to my baby high chair!!), disturbing my husband on work calls and so on (all of this in 3 visits only!). All topped with an attitude. Manager not even interested to know why we decided to stop our contract...

The worst cleaners I've had... dusting only some areas and even those only arround the exsisting objects, cause moving things from kitchen counter like a knife stand or a mug is not included, and when the cloth is not in hand dusting is also provided by a hand swipe... mopping with one hand and only middle of the floor because corners or chairs won't be moved... the entire clean is one sad joke. The managments admits the job is not even done up to their own standard, but they'll still charge you.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A TOTAL SCAM. We wanted to book Molly Maid’s for regular weekly cleaning, as part of this they say they cannot provide you with an hourly rate and that they will need to carry out an initial “thorough” clean of your flat in advance. They took an initial £100 deposit for this and state that if the work is much more than this then they will charge further money. When the time came they charged an extra £100 due to a lot of cat fur etc. – which was fine. I phoned to complain after the cleaners had left and I had a chance to look over the work, they said they would send maids back and refund me £40. This was arranged for Tuesday and they said they would contact me on Monday with a time. Monday came – no call. I contact them and they told me they would let me know a time. Tuesday came – no call. Honestly a total rip off and completely incompetent office staff, who before they try and defend themselves by sending maids to remedy poor work and having several failed attempts at entry I will give you background to the situation. I had to organize a dentist appointment over my lunch break on Tuesday and assumed they were no longer coming as there had been no communication regarding a time. Then just before I need to leave for my appointment I get a text saying they’ll be at my flat in 10 minutes. I had to refuse as I now had an appointment. It was arranged that they would return on Friday, initially I had a meeting in the morning so I said after 12PM. On Thursday morning my meeting was changed, I gave them more than 24 hours’ notice to make them aware to come any time accept 1-2PM. At 12:59 I get a call on Friday saying they are outside, I said I cannot let them in – I have a meeting, have no time to go over the poor areas with them and can’t have noise whilst I am in an online meeting. They then say they will have to reschedule AGAIN. I then had to spend this time in my meeting distracted to explain to the office that I couldn’t let the maids in to which I received the following responses. 1. “Many failed attempts and refusal of entry” 2. “Clearly finished my meeting as I had time to communicate” 3. “We were only asking for a little lee-way” If they had even given me one call ahead of time I would have been able to explain the situation, I was not finished my meeting but had to text back and forth to say I couldn’t let them in as I couldn’t have noise. Also, as it was remedy work I needed time to explain the exact areas as I was told it wouldn’t be another full clean. A little lee-way was complete inconvenience for me, I had arranged to work from home to accommodate then and was available every other hour of the day, my paranoia feels like they did all of this deliberately so that I couldn’t get my money back. Unless you are someone who stays inside all day and has money to burn then this company is not for you, you also need to be blind to ignore the rushed work that is done for the price of £200 for 3 cleaners who spent 1 hour cleaning and somehow light bulbs were still dusty, dust balls and cat fur still in corners, radiators still dusty, picture frames still dusty, stains still on floors, ovens not properly cleaned even though this was an additional £30 charge. Please for your sanity do not give this company and give these scammers your money. They now have £160, which they took for an hour clean when the place wasn’t even properly hoovered or mopped let alone dusted and “thoroughly cleaned”. They then blocked my mobile and refused to answer their landline – guess I’ll never see that money again.

Having just moved into a filthy house and feeling overwhelmed with the amount of cleaning, my Mum paid for 3 ladies to work for 2 hours. Showed them around and pointed out the worst and most time consuming, - bathrooms, handles, floors and windows. They left after an hour, saying they don't usually do houses on a Saturday but the manager begged them, clearly not happy to be here! The standard of work was disappointing and ended up going over everything they did, properly! Waste of good money, never again!

Awful company (at least the Cannock division is). Used for an end of tenancy clean. Firstly, we were quoted for inside of a built in fridge (amongst other things) to be done as part of this service. This was not done, and the manager argued that these things weren't included in EOT clean - basically she was lying. Other areas were not cleaned to a satisfactory standard, and when sent photographic evidence, the manager was so rude to us I could hardly comprehend it, especially as we approached her so nicely. She audibly scoffed at my partner down the phone when he asked if she might consider a 10% discount due to the parts missed (cobwebs in bedroom, 2 kitchen cupboards not cleaned, fridge not cleaned, etc.) We also organised a time for them to come beforehand that worked for us in terms of us moving out and moving into our new place, but they showed up several hours early and insisted on coming in and starting, which made it really hard for us to do what we needed to do. They simply wouldn't go away and come back at the pre-agreed time... It turned out they absolutely wanted to finish by 3pm in order to get to another job which I think is also why they left our place unfinished. Altogether this was a really rough experience - we never did get our discount because I found the lady too horrible and stressful to talk to, so I left it. But I will do my best to make sure other people know how bad they are!

I have just been witness to an aggressive Molly maid cleaner who nearly crashed into me on the slip road to the M3 . She was very aggressive and clearly forgot that she has a company logo all over her car. Completely uncalled for . She has been reported to the police . Dangerous driving all over the M3 down to Hook.

Impersonal, inconsistent & overpriced If you're happy to pay the same amount weekly for a cleaning company to stay 6 hours one week, 2.5 the next for the same house in the same state and believe the quality of the cleaning will be all the same then Molly Maid will work for you. We ended extremely unhappy with them. We used Molly Maid for 4 weeks after the initial in-depth clean they do. We have a 3,500sq ft house. We were quoted £92/clean VAT & cleaning products included which we thought was correct considering the size of the house, how much work it represents. The first week, the total time they spent cleaning was 6 hours which is what it needs to do a proper clean, but it dropped to 3 hours the following week, and then to 2.5 hours. They repeatedly explain they don't charge per hour, not to look at it that way which is clear and fine so long the cleaners don't rush through the clean which they did apart from the first time. It just showed. It felt so disrespectful. No care was applied, no attention to details. No mopping of the tiles floors d/s which represents a big surface, beds made in a rush, many surfaces not wiped, a tiny amount of washing up left (3 mugs/4 glasses) not touched, just put to the side, different teams come so the notes and feedback given is not applied some weeks. They also charge per item for ironing within the cleaning time. So you pay twice really for ironing. I was charged £1.50 per small handkerchief x 4 which was a clear overcharge. I called and emailed 10 days ago to explain how unhappy we were and with a few questions, I've still not heard back. Not expecting to hear from them anymore. They just didn't charge us for the last clean. I think their approach relies on trusting the cleaning team will do their best every week when they can choose how long they stay. A house the size we have doesn't get properly cleaned in 2/3 hours total.

I am disgusted at the price of the clean. I live in Australia and I organised cleaning for my mum who is a full time carer of my father with dementia. I was horrified to discover she was paying £80 for a 2hour 40 min clean. That rate is exorbitant, when I saw the clean I was not impressed, marks left around taps and plugholes, some surfaces not dusted. It is a small 2 bedroom bungalow! £80 for just over 2 and a half hours.
