“I could swear there bread as got smaller, gone back to aldi, morrisons seem to be a big profit making company no wonder there failing, saved a fotune at aldi, morrisons not for me ever again.”
“Morrisons Aldershot. When for breakfast. Ordered the half price all English breakfast for 3 of us. Asked if we could skip the baked beans, only to be told that we couldn't swap any of the items. We clarified that we did want to swap any items but wanted an item off the plates. They went to check and were categorically told that you had to have what it came with. it was policy. I explained that we just didn't want the beans served. No they said. Then we asked for separate plates so we could scrap off the beans fro our plate. I was so incensed that I had to speak to the duty store manager. I couldn't believe how rigid the staff were. We weren't asking for anything more just a bit of common sense and to omit serving us the beans on our breakfast plate. The store manager was very apologetic.
I thought that for a company that so called prides itself on its customer service, it said a lot about the customer café section heads lack of leadership and managerial style that they didn't empower their staff to be more customer responsive. Hopeless!”
“I was shopping in morrison Walsall the one by the arboretum and was approched by a member of security and was acused of shoplifting this was very embarrassing.I was escorted out even tho they did not search me even tho i insisted. I work in retail myself and i understand the prosedures but i will NEVER shop in tha store agen i hope this is looked into. Fui the security guard was Chinese and ok one week comunicating a socialble the next throwing me out the store”
“Went to Morrison's at Hunters tryst Edinburgh, Went to the till 10 items and under, I went with a basket, with 3 bottles of juice and 11 small items, she moved to the other tills as I was over 10 items. I didn't count the small items so don't know how she counted them in the basket, anyway I went to another till and eventually got served, I explained this to the till operator , and she agreed that was over the top, and when is at the till she lets people in for items of 14.I filled in a survey , and then received a phone call from the store manager backing his assistant 100% up, Now I understand about where to draw the line on the amount of items in a basket, but she was a jobs worth, and she could not see I had 14 items in basket, as I thought I had 10 and we had the basket in the hand, last time in this shop, I would love to stand and watch how she counts how many items are in a basket, and I don't think this is customer service at all.”
“Scotch pies-3 for the price of 2 as advertised for weeks in our local store. One snag they are packed in 2's! Reported this twice to staff members who promised they would take this up with their"boss". This is a not untypical trick at Morrisons which must be aimed at customers who are either in a big hurry or not paying attention to things like goods which are pre-printed e.g. £2.00 followed by an almost invisible "per Kilo". They then end up paying £3 because they have bought1.5 kilos. Do you wonder that there is now no problem in securing a parking place in Morrison's car parks. Not like the good old days!”
“Just had my first home delivery- I've never ordered supermarket shopping home and gave heard pleanty of horror stories about lateness, weird substitutes, rude staff. But decided to give Morrison's relatively new service a whirl
The slots you book are one hr long, so more precise time than asda and only a poubd delivery! I booked 12-1pm and it arrived 11:50 but that was fine for me. The chap was lovely and explained my receipt to me with all the use bys on, went and got my shopping from his van and bought it in for me , said I could feel free to check through it there and then in case I wanted anything taking back, was all packed in fridge, freezer and cupboard bags. My only possible criticism is the first delivery insntjve could have been better, but got a free gingerbread man can't complain. Everything I ordered was there and in Good condition. So when you book yourdeluvery slot o line it tells you if anything on your list won't be in stock, when you can order when it will be and suggests a range of replacements (all before youve paid)
So compared to the horror stories I've heard notbad at all!”
“Bought a box of morrisons own size 5 nappies and they are terrible. I have tried lots of different supermarket branded nappies and these were by far the worst. No absorbency at all, to the point where my daughters clothing was constantly soaked no matter how many times I changed her. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.”
“I never order for home delivery but I thought id give it a go, it was bang on time. The delivery Man was lovely he explained that in future if I wanted he would check the meat was fresh and veg with me and told me where the number was to ring if I wasn't happy with something. All the food was lovely and fresh. Very happy.!!!”
“I was disgusted with Morrisons. They should just shut down. I asked where the water guns were, they took me to dog food and put a tin in my trolley. Disgraceful”
“I was served in your cafe by a lovely young lady who was very polite and bubbly, I visit your cafe regularly and I always have the same experience. Her name is hayley Warren.”
“Popped into Morrison's Weston super mare and found some very good offers, but was unable to find a member of staff to help me finding tinned mushrooms, how ever when I did the young lady was really rather nice and help full, well done Morrison's,a happy shopper.”
“The lady that was helping at the self-service counters at the London Peckham branch was very rude, and slow to help. Had an unwelcoming face and her manner was, 'I couldn't be bothered'. This is not the first time. I will definitely not be shopping there again!”
“My parents are both 86 years old and as my mother still drives they visit Morrisons once a week. However, they find the goods of a poor quality. Recently they bought steak but were unable to eat it as it was tough and full of gristle. Regularly they have had to throw milk away even though it has not reached its sell by date. As the store is close to their home it is very convenient to get to they are saddened that they now have to drive further to shop at Sainsburys. Isn't it a sad state of affairs that management allow this to happen even after the end of year profits showed that Morrisons was losing sales.”
“Jack on oven fresh was helpful and polite towards me, he also helped find a product which was on a different department! Great customer service! Asset to your team”
“I go to Morrisons in Bacup on a weekly basis. I can sometimes struggle finding everything I need, and get easily frustrated by this. However, every time this has occured a young lady, always wearing a green vest, on check out, called Heather, is always there to help. She always has a smile on her face. She makes shopping for me and others I know a pleasant experience, instead of one I use to dread. Unfortunately, i do not know this young girls last name. This lovely lady deserves a reward for all she does for me and others i know. She always goes beyond and above. The world needs more workers with this mind set.”
“Needing a quick sandwich today, I decided to treat myself to one of the more expensive ones, a New York deli one, at £2.59 for a round. I opened the bag, from the back, took out the plastic container and Everything fell out all over the place. There was no indication that the inner, plastic container was not sealed and it was not possible to see this, without turning the bag back round. The top slice of bread just fell off, as there was no scrap of butter to hold it in place and I had meat, lettuce & tomato all over me.
The filling was quite nice, but whole thing was ruined by the cardboard rye bread, which screamed out for a layer of butter. What a disappointment!”
“Customer service and lack of knowledge on consumer rights by Sikander (duty Manager) is non existant.
My wife purchased a PS3 controller for our children a couple of months ago. A few days ago it developed a fault. Luckily we still had the receipt and I took it to the Morrissons store in small heath. I explained the fault to the duty manager who was at customer services and he clearly stated I would have got to contact sony for a repair.
Now I do know a bit (i think) on consumer rights. My contract is with Morrissons. On behalf of myself they should be rectifying the fault with the controller and dealing with Sony.
I tried explaining this to the duty manager but he was having none of it. I asked for the telephone no for Sony. His reply was 'I haven't got it and by the way the controller has got some wear and tear'
Anyway I decided to end this conversation as I knew I was not getting anywhere and will now speak to Sony directly.
By the way Morrissons management if you have children you will know that children do play. Wear and tear happens. My PS3 controller has got some light scratches on it.
Lost another customer. Their loss.”
“Amazing customer service at the Canterbury store. I was served by a new employee and she was so polite and apologetic that things took longer to do as she was new. However i don't think they should be putting under 18's on the checkout as it takes alot of time to get a manager over everytime to help out the operator. This is not the fault of the cashier and i noticed some rather rude customers ahead of me. Her situation is totally understandable and i was impressed and comforted by her politeness and consideration for my time.”
“My wife went to our local Sittingbourne store this evening and at 19:15 hrs tried to order a proffitter role desert to which the staff member refused to make one as they had already put away the cream and washed up my local asda always make up fresh deserts right up until store closing time to be told that we would have to go back tomorrow think I will go back to asda from now on there staff are much more helpful and friendly”
