“Visited Morrison’s in Northampton Kettering Road today 28/08/20 and it seems that social distancing controls have all gone. No queue outside so it’s a free for all as you enter. No markers in store at all and the queue system that has worked well through the whole of the lock down has now disappeared. Loads of people queuing down all the aisles with people pushing past trying to get to the shelves. Impossible to social distance. Even the staff commented that it wasn’t good and they felt vulnerable again. Has Morrison’s given up on customer and colleague safety?. Won’t be back anytime soon!”
“Visited Morrisons Wednesbury yesterday to find no social distancing measures are in place and felt vulnerable at the checkout as a guy started to empty his trolley right next to me and I had to ask him to step back, luckily he was a decent guy and he did so. I then went into the cafe area which was in a terrible dirty and cluttered state with plates piled high on tables which was waiting to be cleaned. The queuing and distancing system in place a couple of weeks before was not evident with lots of people queuing together, I joked with one of the assistants that 'COVID has gone from Morrisons then' and she apologised and said she didn't know what was happening. Needless to say I didn't eat or drink in there i just went home. Morrisons you need to look after your customers better and keep mindful that COVID is a killer to some people even your customers.”
“When your threatened with security escorting you from the store you would think that I was either a shoplifter, aggressive to the so-called staff, or in these trying times I wasn't wearing a mask. So what if I said that not only was I eventually escorted from this Morrisons by security, but that this manager actually also wasted Police time by calling them to say that I was big, aggressive, and threatening just to get them to attend when in reality the only thing this liar said that was true was that I was big which isn't a crime. So why would he lie well it seems that when you ask a Morrisons manager for his surname and he tries to fob you off by saying its company policy not to give it, when you call him out on lying he then calls security and even the Police on you just to keep his job. Hey you're a liar so that's no major surprise but when you actually spend the time writing to Head Office, detailing every part of what this liar did and in return they lie to you themselves. I thought they would of just fired the guy but instead and I quote: we have looked into this with our store management team, and we do not tolerate aggressive or abusive language towards our staff. Of course I won't be returning and my points card is already in the bin I didn't even waste any more of my time, by saying well if this was true then why was I asked if I wanted to continue shopping or get escorted out by security which of course was the better option that I chose. But I did tell them that I would be leaving a review warning other customers, and also I wanted to see how many other customers had been treated in this way by this lying manager and then covered up by Morrisons Head Office.”
“Had an awful delivery from Morrisons Telford over the lockdown. Milk that was split, out of date food, damaged packaging. Brought this to their attention via email...their customer service turns out to be as dire as their online shop. This company has a lot to learn when it comes to customers. I haven't shopped there since and will never return out of principle”
“Visited Morrison’s cafe in Newport Road, Cardiff yesterday. What a disgrace! Picked up a filthy tray from the stack at the food ordering only to find every other tray underneath was also filthy, wet and covered in spilt food and milk. The food on display lookEd very unappetising so decided on just coffee instead. Half filled coffee mugs and paper cups were strewn all over the food/drink ordering counter and had to be moved in order to access the coffee machine. After paying I found all serviette holders empty, no small spoons or wooden stirrers and the cutlery that was there was dirty and greasy. The cafe was not busy, there were no queues at all and only a third of tables were occupied. Consequently, no excuse. Absolutely disgusting!”
“Ever since Morrison’s went from central delivery to local store l say local store I live in Doncaster my home delivery comes from Retford store in unmarked dirty vans , this store has very poor stock items even though web site shows item in stock on the day of delivery many items are missing and some items are damaged ie upside down trifle damaged tins and poor dates this has happened three weeks in a row if this happens again I will use my vouchers up cancel my anytime delivery pass and take my custom elsewhere as your customer service is next to nonexistent I have give up getting in touch with them tried to give customer service a star it would not let me as it would have been 1 or lower if it was possible strange that isn’t it”
“My first online order was a disaster! delivery 13/08/20 and much of the order was dated use by 13/08/20 not the idea of shopping for the week spending £140 only to get out of date items.”
“I ordered a fruite and veg box via Morrisons and it didn't arrive, it was rearranged for the next day and yet again it didn't arrive...I have been in shielding and have yet to venture to a supermarket so this was very disappointing.”
“Since Morrisons moved home delivery provision from the regional hub to my local store, have received one out-of-date product and three products within of one day of use by date. The local store are obviously avoiding what is known in the trade as 'mark downs' and passing them on to the punter at full cost - not good enough - and, two weeks down the line, am still waiting for a response to my query to their customer services team on this issue. One thing giving the customer a raw deal, but ignoring them is even worse. Now using the competition.”
“Delivery received 9.10 pm on 6th August . Bread that I was charged £1 for was originally 80p and reduced as it was at its sell by date !
Also frozen garlic bread defrosted !”
“The apparent overcharging of advertised prices at the Queenborough, Sheppey site, in my opinion has become far too regular.
Check your bill and hope for an apology!”
“We tried ordering with Morrisons as we had booked deliveries with all other companies during the lockdown and thought we would give them a shot too. I had booked an evening delivery slot which came and went. I then had a text to say they would be delivering on time, that was wrong as they were already late. I then had a phone call to say they were running a bit late, I said they were already nearly 2 hours late and if they didn't turn up in the next 15 mins we were off to bed. Miraculously the driver did turn up 10 mins later. There was no apology from the driver and no social distancing. We asked if he was having a bad day, being that he was over 2 hours late, and he said it was a regular thing. Suffice to say we will never be ordering from Morrisons again, absolutely awful!”
“Went in to Morrison's pontefract (sunday morning )went up to hot counter the woman behind was in a mood there's a way to deal with customers and she was arrogant, im exempt from face masks for a genuine reason it made me feel she was been like this for that reason.Came to check out at the till again staff weard they need to learn there are hidden disabilities and not everyone is using it as a way to get out of wearing face masks.Managers you need to up your game and learn your staff to keep personal feelings out of it and to educate on hidden disabilities.”
“I have managed to shop online for the last two weeks gaining a slot. Being an NHS nurse, we are able to gain a 10% discount. However the discount codes given only deduct a 5% discount.
Twice now I have gone through the "Morrisons" customer service E mail system to get the right discount. Obviously an intrinsic error on their part yet its still happening and whilst I am grateful to Morrisons for the discount, the hassle related to it is become tiresome!”
“12.15 lunchtime 30th july 2020 binley.... hot food counter used to be a good place to get a tasty lunch, just picked up chicken dippers and fries..what happened ? absolute rubbish looked and tasted like its been there all morning as it must have been , it doesnt get like that in half an hour, thrown into a box by a surly woman who acted like she was doing me a favor, please dont say its because of covid there really is no excuse for serving stale dried out food by apparenty untrained staff, do it well or as with the salad bar close it down, will never stop here again for anything...”
“Queuing at check out horrendous. Would rather queue to get into store . Where was management! They should have been on shop floor helping their colleagues. Malton store”
“i went to do Morrisons Thornbury last night (first time since 24/7)
i had my mask on but i would say that about 40% of other customers did not. Why is this? Surely it is up to the Management of Morrisons to ensure for the safety of other customers and their staff that face masks are worn. I did ask the checkout guy who said it was up to Security - obviously they are not doing a good job if that is the case. also the queuing system wasn't working as people were just heading straight for the checkouts regardless of if someone was there or not (most of these folk didn't have masks on either) Come on Morrisons you are going to lose lots of customers if you don't get this sorted.
People need to feel safe.”
“Recently visited the Edgeley (Stockport) branch after some weeks shopping elsewhere. As expected, a huge range of products available and well laid out aisles made for easy navigation. So far, so good Making for the checkout is where things start to unravel. We've got a full cart of groceries. Individual self service cash points are empty but for baskets only. There are ten other belt cash desks, only four of which are manned, three unmanned and three self service belt cash desks where there are queues waiting. And waiting. And waiting. I would guess it takes the average shopper at least twice as long to complete scanning, loading and packing their groceries as it would with a till operator, and often much longer. After a twenty minute wait we finally got to the till and then battling with a couple of 'unexpected items in the baggage area' we paid up and left the store. This will be the last time we shop at Morrisons. Shame really, as the shopping experience was disastrously let down by the unacceptable wait at the till. Shape up, Morrisons.”
