“I charged twice for my order and did not receive any confirmation in my email. When I was ordering the system says the card was not working but little did I know they already I got charged for it. I could not find customer service for Canada. I called the store and they gave me a wrong phone number. This will be my first and last order.”

“Where do I begin?? Ordered 3 things (separate orders) beginning of January. They sent zero shipping information. I had to email and ask them for it. All three packages came almost 4 weeks later. That I understand is out of their control. However. In me trying to correspond to them they ignore the questions and shut you down. THEY sent ME an email apologizing and offering to either refund or resend an item that was deemed lost. When I emailed them to tell them to refund me they ignored the email THEY sent, told me I had to wait and return in store. Despite me asking 3 times to acknowledge the email they had sent me they continually ignored it and I finally gave up. Sure their stuff is cheap but heaven help you if you need to speak to customer service about anything. And now, I’m here with three packages that I’m not sure that I can return because I’m at 30 days. Will never ever purchase from them again.”

“Used them once never again. Ordered Boots, sent a Straw Hat, been trying for weeks to get a reply, nothing. Contacted Paypal, now they want me to pay and send it back before I get my money. Poxy company, stay away.”

“This is a scam company. I cannot believe how well put together the website is and yet how clearly it is a scam. I bought three “fleecy lined jumpers” and three beanies from these shonksters. The jumpers are not fleecy lined and so thin, they are basically unwearable on a cold day. I never received the beanies and am now up to my 19th correspondence with these thief’s trying to get even some acknowledgement that I purchased them, despite providing all evidence. SCAMMERS. DONT BUY FROM THEM.”

“good quality products. found what I needed. Reasonable delivery time. terrible refund policy. after i personally paid for return postage, they deducted $15 from my return simply for processing it. if i had understood this I wouldn't have bought from them as other companies give you free return postage and deduct this amount from your refund, with no charge for processing. first time i have come across this. very unhappy.”

“I purchased a hat last month and during a few days of hot weather my sweat caused the dye to run. I brought the hat back to same store I bought it from to exchange it and the manager refused to give me another hat. He said the colour running because of sweat was normal wear and tear! Their warranty is bogus! The exchange guarantee is just a scam to get ripple to purchase cheap products!”

“I purchased some boots that fell apart within 12 months. Admittedly they were in the sale so I gave the benefit of the doubt, so then bought the Latitude Extreme Waterproof Vibram boots (£169.99). Within 12 months again they completely fell apart and I don't even walk much. However it wasn't until CA 15 months that I got in touch. An unsympathetic employee brushed me off with a "it's only a 12 month warranty", which is essentially the brand admitting they are not confident their boots can last for more than a year. I cannot warn fellow walkers/ hikers/ mountain trailers and Duke of Edinburgh participants enough to stay away from Mountain Warehouse boots. They will let you down and are not worth the big price tags (the customer service is shoddy, too).”

“You are not sorry to hear you had a bad experience with mountain warehouse, so don't make such a false statement please!!!! I have had nothing but problems with the NZ branch & you don't care & if I could give you a zero star rating I would!!! I am returning to Kathmandu store as you are nothing but scammers!!! Buyer beware!!! You have such a negative reputation now that this business is going to go under and not soon enough!!! You falsely advertise that it is a 'no hassle return' which is illegal under the consumers act, but it couldn't be further from the truth!!! I just wished that I had seen this website before I purchased from such a despicable company!!! You have no right selling any product!!! F you!!!!”

“CONSUMER BEWARE!!!! I ordered I pair of hiking shoes for my husband In his size (US 11). They arrived quickly and they were too small for him to comfortably wear. So I packaged them up that day and took them to the postoffice. I was surprised that the shipping cost was to be $20.00 plus $2.48 tax. Incidentally I also paid $10.00 plus $1.24 tax to have these shoes shipped to us initially. MOUNTAIN WAREHOUSE has refused to help me out with any of these shipping fees, all within Canada. So I paid $33.72 for the privilege of trying on a pair of shoes from MOUNTAIN WAREHOUSE. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS WHEN ORDERING FROM MOUNTAIN WAREHOUSE. Rolande Ramsey”

“Given sweater as a gift, too small but unable to exchange because original purchase receipt not included. All tags were present and I just wanted same item in a different size. I wrote to customer service and over 2 weeks I got the same form letter saying thanks for contacting us and we see that your return issue has been resolved. I kept replying "NO" it hasn't and they would just send me the exact same form letter. Terrible policy about exchanges and really terrible customer service. Never again we will shop with this company.”

“Xmas gift from out of country. Went to store here to get larger size. Had all tags etc. but no receipt. Just wanted to exchange. Refused. Emailed customer service and got an email back saying glad your refund was resolved. Really poor service”

“Mountain Warehouse at Southcentre mall is not even deserving of 1 star. If I could I would give 0 stars based on the customer service I witnessed. A mother was in the store with her baby and 2 toddlers, frantically trying to look for winter jackets. The two toddlers were running around in and out of the racks, like many of them do. I was absolutely shocked when one of the sales associates, a lady maybe in her 60’s,(not trying to be discriminatory- specifying an age to possibly identify the associate) told the mother this wasn’t a playground and ask that she leave. The mother was in shock and asked to speak to a manager. The lady told her he was in the UK and his number could be found on their website. If I didn’t need my thermals and ski socks for tomorrow, I would have dropped all of it right on to the floor and walked out. Shame on you Mountain Warehouse. Is this how you treat your customers?”

“This company is a joke. Avoid at all costs. I ordered jacket and boots on 2nd Dec. Chased on 10th via website customer services with no reply. Chased 3 more times...nothing. Today got a reply saying my package is lost and the jacket out of stock. I am gutted and disappointed at how poor their communication and service has been. I normally don't bother with reviews but this has p"ssed me off.”

“Wow... horrible service and lies... 2 weeks... they have generated a label but Canada post has not even scanned it within that time once. 5 calls later I have cancelled. I hope the owners read this as I'm not the only one It appears. Your e-commerce side of the business needs good management.”

“My god what a waste of time. I ordered a pair of wellingtons & after paying for a delivery in 5days the product did not turn up. I contacted you & was told it can now take up to 10 working days (Amazon & Post Office seem to still manage,) again the product didnt turn up. After 13 working days I contacted again & was told my order was lost & a refund given. I have wasted 3weeks waiting on a product that probably doesnt even exist & the pathetic generic apology I received may as well have been said by a robot. Absolute disgrace & thanks for nothing, because that's literally what I got from you.”

“Charged me twice for a product and never delivered it. Sent them multiple emails asking for a refund. They pretended they were trying to fix their problem but never refunded me. Basically stole my money Watch out! These people should be investigated in my opinion”

“First and last time buying shoes online - was wary as fit and looks difficult with shoes but they promised great returns policy - unfortunately not true. no matter what i try now they wont return emails so have no way to return - they say fill out the returns form that came with the order - only it didnt. the shoes make and awful squeak/squelch noise when walking. just pay the extra to walk in and try. totally disappointing and never again - avoid Mountain Warehouse as you cant return if not satisfied with the product”
