“As a Mum of two, (a 2yo and a newborn) my food bag has been absolutely fabulous for our family! There are no more tedious discussions on “what to have for dinner” every night and we aren’t eating the same meals over and over! The food we are eating is delicious and healthy and the portions are perfect! I think Nadia has done a fantastic job not only with the recipes, but by helping other fellow New Zealanders to live a healthier happier life through food!”

“Its so easy and convenient!!! I was always racking my brains what to have for dinner tonight, well that stress has gone :) Everything you need is delivered right to your door step, healthy and yum recipes that everyone can share in the prepping :) Great way to spend time with the family and a great way to teach kids how to cook. Will never go back”

“Easy, healthy and tasty meals! I waste much less food now, as I know what I am going to be cooking and have all of the ingredients right there! The food is always great quality and there is plenty of it. My only minor complaint is that I often hear of others getting free gifts etc in their boxes, but I rarely do ;)”

“We loved the chicken and haloumi Mediterranean salad. Also the Lamb Kofta, although it needs way more spices. We liked the previous fish recipe more than this one and are yet to make the Sticky Asian beef. Overall, we are big fans and appreciate the cafe quality meals without having to think what to have and assemble the ingredients. We rave about your product to all our friends and have bought a voucher for our daughter. We are finding we have much less waste too. When are you going to offer Motueka clients the make 2, heat 2 option please as we would be keen to try? My husband suggested you offer single meals through supermarkets to broaden your reach. I know the supermarkets would cut into your margins, but it may be good promotion for a short time. Just a thought. Keep up the good work! Warmest regards Karen & Ren Logan”

“My Food Bag is a remarkably successful NZ company. It manages to tick all the boxes - great food, great prices, eco-friendly packaging and fresh produce. It also provides a showcase for new NZ products so its reach extends far beyond just the food boxes themselves. Although an early skeptic (thinking it would not be cost effective and would result in an environmental net loss), I am a strong convert and am convinced this business model is the way of the future.”

“Food choices are great. I'm using ingredients I've never used before in combinations I would never have thought of with amazing results. Thought at first ingredients wouldn't be enough to fill hubby and myself but I was wrong they are filling tasty and quick and i no longer have to worry half the day about "what's for tea"”

“I have 3 very picky little eaters, there is always one who doesn't like the food we are eating. Since starting with my food bag however they ALL finish their dinners without complaint, there has not been one dinner yet where food has been left on their plates!! Thank you :)”

“I enjoy having my food bag on the whole, it’s a cliche but it really is ideal for a busy lifestyle. It could benefit from more flexibility in general. In particular around pausing and unpausing deliveries which has a long lag. If you want to swap out certain meals you can which I’d great.”

“Absolutely love it. Tea time was always a dread as we cooked the same meals over and over and everyone hated cooking. Now we have something diffident every night, the meals aren’t hard to cook and they are healthy and really tasty. Started food bag in Novenmber last year and have not missed a week.”

“I have eaten and tried new food that I have never had before. It's been fantastic for myself and my son. The recipes are simple and the portions are large! Great way of having a cooking class but in the privacy of your own home.... cauliflower rice... chick peas... who would have thought.”

“I love the fact that my menu is planned for 4 days. I enjoy cooking, but really like not having to decide what to cook all the time. The recipes are delicious and varied. The meat is good quality and the vegetables are almost always fresh. Occasionally they are not as fresh as they should be and sometimes the staples are things you might expect to be given. Eg. Why would you supply tomato paste and not chicken stock? The only other gripe is that there is a lot of plastic that is not recyclable eg. meat trays and cooler bags. Apart from that we are loving the convenience and the yummy new recipe ideas.”

“Changed my life! I'm a single mother getting very bored in the kitchen cooking the same old things in a rotation. I love the 30 minute time out from work and kids to cook a healthy meal. I enjoy cooking again and I've lost 5kgs!”
