“The dress itself was beautiful, unfortunately, it was not a good fit. Even though I bought a size up from what I normally buy (size 8) I couldn't even get it on! To make things wore, your return/exchange policy is non-existent! I spent a lot of time looking for this dress and waited a long time for it to arrive. After all that time, waiting, and of course the cost, I couldn't even pull the dress up! Very dissatisfied. I had to run out at the last moment and buy a dress from Macy's! Ya... luckily I was able to find something for the wedding I attended. Judy”

“The dresses were too big and contacted NY dress to exchange them, but they refused. I have paid a large sum of money for those two dresses and I can’t wear the dresses nor exchange them. So money went down the drain. Definitely, not using this website/company anymore.”

“New York Dress delivery calendar is incorrect and left me with a lot of stress before my ball on Saturday. The calendar showed it should have arrived with plenty of time before my ball on Saturday night, however if I hadn't of called FedEx 10 times to get it fast tracked, it would have been late and arrived on Monday. I also needed to get it taken up (which normally happens not a negative) however when it should have arrived would have given me plenty of time to go to the tailor. As it stood, I had to pay more to get the dress taken up in a smaller amount of time.”

“My dress was too small. I called and asked to send the dress back for larger size and I was told you all do not take dresses back. I spent over $600 on a dress that is too small and all I asked for was to send it back for a larger size. Thanks for nothing!”

“I previously had a great experience with NYDress. This time was the exact opposite. Only certain dresses said returns and exchanges were not accepted. So, I purchased a dress that didn’t have this statement on it. When it came and was MUCH too short, I went to initiate an exchange I couldn’t. I called the customer service line, which is touted as making all customers happy with their purchase, and was told when I purchased the gown I agreed to a statement that they aren’t accepting any returns/exchanges. I didn’t agree to any such statement during the checkout process. Se then went on to say that returns/exchanges page said that none were accepted. This contradicts the fact that only certain dresses have this listed on them. I’m now out $400+ and have a gown that is too short (which based on measurements shouldn’t have been the case based on the measurement chart). Not to mention the customer service rep had quite the attitude and was not helpful at all. I will not be purchasing from NYDress again anytime soon.”

“The dress got here quickly and in great shape, however, the return and exchange policy is contradicting. Certain dresses are labeled as unable to be returned/exchanged but others are not. The returns/exchange section says that returns and exchanges are not available right now, but I was not made aware of that when checking out. I called customer service to see what could be done as the gown came in MUCH MUCH too short and I was told I agreed to the return policy when I checked out. I wasn't made aware of the policy while checking out and wouldn't have purchased the gown if that was the case. The customer service rep was not at all helpful and wasn't pleasant to deal with. I understand she probably deals with annoyed customers all day, but giving attitude doesn't help. I won't be purchasing from New York Dress again any time soon, which is extremely disappointing and am left to figure out what to do with a gown that is not long enough for me to wear.”

“Dress is superp quality but customer service is just plain horrible. Was not given any tracking details and shipping took longer than stated on website. Customer service requested I pay expidited shipping same day I finally received the dress!! Unbelievable but true.”

“I purchase three dresses for my daughter, she did not like one of the dress. I am not happy when I was told I will be charged a 15% restock fee and I will be given credit for the balance. Not happy with this policy.”

“The variety is good, website easy to navigate. However, a policy of not accepting returns or exchanges on any merchandise is unacceptable. It is not possible to know if a garment is going to work until it is tried on. Due to time constraints for an upcoming event, I was forced to order several dresses, knowing I'd have to return at least two (which I did) and eat the costs. I do not think I will be using NYD again.”

“I am a first time customer . Purchasing of my dress was relatively easy and the dress arrived in sturdy packaging ; however , the dress I received had a long tear along the seam. I believe the website sold me a defective dress as the packaging had not been tampered with when it arrived . I was very disappointed as I bought the dress for a destination wedding and was forced to look for tailoring services in an international country last minute . I likely will not be purchasing with this company again .”

“Bought this dress for my 50th this July. Disappointed because material seemed cheap rather than something you would expect for $400 dress. Ended up having to custom order a dress for $1050.”
