I will never do business with this company OR recommend them to anyone. The whole experience has been a complete and utter nightmare. Their customer service is complete joke. I may as well just burned $250…

I ordered Angela and Alison 20017 × 1 Midnight-Shimmer/8, on 09/24/21 _ ORDER #445280. I received it on 10/05/21 only to find out that size 8, which is my size according to the size chart, is inaccurate. According to their size chart, size 8 should have fitted me perfectly, but it turned out to be too small. I called NYD customer service to have it exchanged with a bigger size, but the agent said it is a final sale, and it cannot be returned. I explained that it is not a return, rather, it is an exchange because the size chart is inaccurate. The agent said that it has to be returned first to be exchanged, and it cannot be returned!!! I said I'll have to right a review to warn customers that even if you are diligent enough to take your own measurements accurately, and order accordingly, you might end up with the wrong size that wont fit. In this day and age where most purchases are done online, and there is no chance to try on the garment before buying it, merchants need to be more flexible in accommodating customers. At that point, the agent said that she'll make me an exception. She'll exchange it if I agree to pay $26.25 restocking fee, and the return shipping cost which was $16.25. It ended up costing me $42.5 to start the exchange process. I also, had to accept a different dress color since the one I originally ordered was out of stock. Not to mention that I did not have a dress for the special occasion that I purchased for. I had to wear a dress that I had in my closet because there was not time to wait for another dress to arrive. I shipped the dress back on 10/14/21. The USPS tracking system says that it was received by NYD on 10/18/21. I have not received the exchange yet. Not sure when I'll receive it.

The sizing of their dresses runs extremely small. The dress I ordered didn’t fit even after ordering two sizes bigger than my typical size. What’s even more frustrating is that they don’t do returns or exchanges. I wouldn’t recommend buying online from them.

Ordered a beautiful Valore custom dress from NY Dress. Received it weeks later which was explained in the shipping instructions. Once I got the dress, it was totally different from the dress pictured. The dress pictured originally had buttons going down the back, from top neck to below the buttocks. The dress received had a zipper. IF I PAY FOR SOMETHING FULL PRICE AND OBVIOUSLY PURCHASED IT FOR THE DETAILS, IT NEEDS TO BE DELIVERED THAT WAY!! At no time did I ask for a refund, rather asked that the dress be returned and fixed. Avenette stated the dress could not be returned but they could mail buttons for a local seamstress to add on. NO! I did not pay for anyone extra to make alterations to the dress as it was already ordered customized. They offered to credit $100 for the buttons to be added on. I appreciated the offer but again, for the amount of money spent on the dress, someone else shouldn't be allowed to go behind this "designers" work. Management was contacted and they agreed to receive the dress back and have it remade. We were told it'd take up to 20 days which was fine. Sent it off and received the dress back in less than 2 weeks and someone had messily added the buttons (obviously in house) to the back of the dress with no kind of symmetry to think about. Worst part, they left the zipper on and original tag. Do NOT try to be slick as if you sent this off! You all really need to do better. I am highly disappointed and you are trifling for thinking I wouldn't notice this was the same dress. Shame on you. I will not give another dime to this company. At least be honest with your customers and if the mess up is on your part, OWN UP TO IT and stop playing with people's money!

Hello, I have emailed this request twice with no response. I received my Jovani 66376 dress size 00. The size chart for Jovani is bust 30.5, 24 waist, and 34.5 hips. The top is HUGE. I have a 33 bust and it’s still large….I’m totally fine with minor alterations but this is ridiculously large and the sides flap out. This does not fit a petit girl. I did wear a bra and it’s still huge. I would have to have at least a DD to pull this off. This was my first time ordering from NYD and I’m disappointed. I understand the no return policy, however, this is not at all the size that is sold on the website. I’m paying for the bottom to be hemmed as which is a reasonable alteration. I’m asking for a partial refund to cover the high cost of altering the heavily jeweled top since it is far from the size listed on the size chart to which I never received a response. Very sketchy.

I order two dresses but they was very bad material very bad colors very bad and look like cheap and ugly dresses although I bought same designer and same size but I got one dress good size but bad material very different than the picture and the other one is very small it not fit me at all

Dress arrived very late and couldn't wear it in the occasion, which l bought the dress specially for it, and l had to buy another one just one night before the my friend's wedding.

I’m disappointed with the purchase As the quality of the dress was not as expected for the price tag 300$ The fabric was not looking good and the dress doesn’t raise up to the occasion. Hence I decided to return the dress. However, i was shocked that i am not able to return or exchange with another dress. I’m deeply saddened that your website is not doing something to better the customer experience and sincerely believe that this will negatively impact your market share.

Very bad service… II can not believe that such a big company have such a bad services…… I can not believe that I am not allowed to exchange the size of my dress, neither to receive the refund…. Waist of money and time … I would not recommend it to any of my friends.

The dress was nothing as expected. Measurements were not the same as on website. I called and they refused to except a return. Dress is almost $600. It's a size 14 made for a size 6-8. They should advertise that their sizes are from China not USA. Very disappointed!! Not going to recommend this store to anyone.

Sadly the experience was terrible. The dress was too small and they did not let me exchange for one bigger size, even though I got the dress the day before they did not allow the exchange. I waste my money on a dress that does not fit. Never going to order another dress.
