Delivery staff and professional who lie. Well what can I say about oak furniture, delivery staff who say they made a delivery to me yesterday but left a card saying “sorry we missed you” and this is how long it took me to get through to someone in there customer service this morning only to tell me she would ring me back once I told her I have cctv installed. But if you do need to contact someone, press 1 when you get through and someone in there sales team answers straight away. Never again 😡😡😡😡

First of all waited 8 months for delivery of 1 of the 2 items we had ordered. The second part of a matching bedroom set was going to be another 6 months they said. I know there has been delivery problems due to the pandemic but the company was not honest with us and kept pushing the delivery date back by 2 months every time the delivery date was supposedly a week away. When the 1st part of the order was delivered it was very badly damaged. The website contact form did not work and basically had to hang on the help line for 40 minutes every time I needed to speak to someone. Eventually they collected the damaged drawers and delivered more which turned out to be even more damaged than the first. Basically poor quality absolute rubbish. Sadly we were then forced to cancel the order as all faith in the quality of the furniture was gone. I then had to contact twice more before they managed to process the refund. Absolute rubbish!

I’ve recently purchased a Nebraska corner unit, in February this year , it’s not for sittings on, it was squeaky from day one I thought it wasn’t to bad so I avoided sitting on that section , I’ve tried to phone several times unfortunately waiting at least an hour each time, without getting to speak to anyone , I wish to add the squeak is now a lot loader, and this is the first time I’ve ever had to make to a complaint.

We ordered some furniture from the Oak Furnitureland website which was supposed to arrive within 6 weeks. We didn’t get it until 9 months later. When it arrived, one item was damaged, and another had what looked like flecks of paint or woodstain on it. The furniture is generally not very well put together, with gaps in between the joints. For the price we paid, we expected much better quality – the furniture we received looks like factory rejects. We will not be buying from Oak Furnitureland again, and would definitely not recommend.

WARNING OAK FURNITURE LAND (Norwich) Do not purchase any furniture from oak furniture Land, it does not last ,it’s quality is very poor, they don’t want to know when you complain , Do not take out the 5 year insurance they try and sell you which they do and tell you it’s a 5 year policy and you won’t have to worry about your furniture for the 5 years it’s all covered, Wrong the 5 year insurance is not worth the paper its written on and you are basically fobbed off when they come round and assess your furniture , they have no intention in sorting anything out, even when the policy states in black and white , our furniture has sunk so badly by nearly 3” and you can not sit in it as it’s so uncomfortable , policy states it’s covered for loss of resilience which is what has happened , 3 months of arguments and emails phone calls and they don’t want to know , Be warned stay well clear , don’t buy from oak furniture land, disgusting company, very poor quality furniture, Misleading you into buying insurance , furniture not fit for purpose , Please share everywhere to make people aware The more we share then they might start treating their customers better and not sell very poor quality furniture that don’t last

Purchased two sofas last year at a great cost with an extended warranty, to then have the cushions collapse in 12 month period. Raised this with Oak Furniture Land to be told it was wear and tear and they couldn't do anything about it. Amazing thing is, not once did they come to actually look at the sofas. Stay away from this con of a company and purchase elsewhere. Now taking matters further.

Delivery team refused to use the garden door and asked me to remove the doors which I could not do. They didn’t call prior to delivery as I was advised by the customer service representative and I have had to wait on the phone for ages in order to speak to someone. Result £1300 spent, time lost, house left in a mess as the items have not been delivered and a potential re-delivery charge. This is most definitely the worst company I’ve ever dealt with and I will not purchase from them again.

Very poor customer service and communication. Ordered furniture, informed 4 month wait which I accepted, paid in full. Booked delivery date, heard nothing more. The week before it was due to be delivered received email to say delivery date would now be a further 3 months?!! I DO NOT believe they didn’t know until the week before that they could not honour their contract! Canceled order (with difficulty) and went to a much more ethical company with excellent communication and customer care.

We ordered a corner sofa from them and waited 6 weeks for you to deliver two right hand parts and no left. Then they tell me to wait over 2 months to put it right! Seriously! When I question this and say cancel my order they didn’t even care, put up a fight to keep me as a customer or my sale even when I cancelled our other items. The most shocking customer service I’ve received in a very long time! What a joke! Do I recommend Oak Furniture Land? No I blinking don’t! I recommend you all stay well clear! Don’t promise customers they’ll receive their order when you don’t know where your own stock is. The representative said ‘without searching to the depths of the earth I won’t find it’. No love try just searching your warehouses!

Service is absolutely disgusting. The audacity of the worker to call his morning 'interesting' because your customers came in store to ask about an exchange for furniture. All i want to ask is how is it 'interesting'? I think it's rather interesting that this store does not train its workers on customer service! First off, theres a clear language barrier so of course it was hard to convey what was needed to be done in the situation. However, your customers are your customers. They DID NOT go into your store and 'demand' for anything. There was no 'DEMANDING'! Second of all, do your staff have no manners? Just because your customers couldn't speak english properly, doesn't give your staff the right to complain about his customers in front of them! 'oh i had interesting morning', 'they just came in and demanded', 'they can't just come in here yelling'. They were not yelling at YOU! the clear language barrier and cultural differences has caused a conflict in interest, but that DOES NOT mean your staff can treat its customers like this. Lastly, I just want to say, if your customers are unaware of a situation and also isn't able to very effectively explain to you what they want, the least you can do have the patience and positive attitude to help them. That is customer service. That is what this store needs.

Ordered and paid for new lounge suite in January. Delivery date confirmed 19th April. We disposed of original furniture. Delivery arrived one chair and footstool no 4 seater sofa. We are in our Sixties and been left fighting over one chair and other sitting on a bean bag. Oak Furniture Land refunded £80.00 but that’s absolutely no help whatsoever. I would not recommend them, so disappointed. S Smedley

My delivery was damaged in transit. wood broken and water damage very obvious. The store couldnt care less. Eventually the table was replaced. Due to covid, it never got any use (8 seater) but 11 months into ownership the chair leg snapped on its first use. Covid restrictions stopped me visiting the store. Eventually I was able to visut but the store couldnt care less. I went on line and eventually told it was out of its warranty and you didnt care either. I said it was water damaged on delivery but I cleaned it up. It broke within its 12 month warranty but I had no access to stores to return it due to covid rules. Your get out out clause is that I should have called head office instead. Something is not fit for purpose. Is it the chair or your excuses. My money will be spent elsewhere if the company does not want to look after its customers who are delivered water damaged furniture with broken pieces inside the torn packaging

I have returned faulty sofa and not recieved a refund at all. Over 25+ phonecalls to resolve this issue. Horrendous quality of products and they promise to refund money within 3-5 days. 2 weeks on I'm still making daily phonecalls and given the same promises. AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs. This has been an ongoing problem for 6 months, they replaced my faulty product (12 weeks later) with a even worse quality product with damage. Total joke. No compensation offered. They do not care.

After waiting 3 months they tried to deliver one grey half and one navy blue half of a corner sofa. They couldn’t find the other half and expected us to wait another 7 weeks to get the rest of our sofa. After being offered a pathetic £60 compensation plus some vouchers for their store we got a refund instead.

Furniture arrived damaged, obviously happened during loading as the box was damaged by a forklift so there could not have been a quality check. We complained and were told we could have a £120 off to keep it as damaged or wait for a replacement. My advice is to order furniture from somewhere else.

Ordered our coffee table in September 2020 told date for delivery was 23rd December. It arrived on that day. So far so good. We immediately noticed there was damage to one corner of the table and the leg had split from top to bottom. It had obviously been dropped. After an hour and 20 minutes wait in the phone queue. Was told a new one would be delivered in feb 2021. After a “sorry” text to say this wouldn’t be happening we are still waiting for a new table. Ofl have had our money for 7 months and we would like what we had paid for in perfect condition. My advice is buy your furniture from an independent company. You might just get better after sales service.
