“Ocado online shopping is always reliable in terms of time keeping, the website is easy to use. The van drivers are polite and very pleasant characters. Ocado offers a very wide selection of products, well sourced and of high quality. I often take advantage of their special offers too. There are rarely any substitutions and I mostly get all the products I've ordered. I receive a message confirming my order, and a text on the day of delivery from the driver, giving his name, details of the van, all of which is very reassuring. Delivery charges are reasonable.”

“On the whole can't fault the service but sometimes the packing and substitutions leave a lot to be desired. Hence the 4 star rather than 5.”

“the website is informative and easy to use (subject to some hiccups with the payment section) and the ''prompt'' pages are helpful rather than intrusive. Aside from ''offers'', pricing tends to be rather high, only partially offset by ''free gifts''.”

“Love all your health food products - Tiana, Koko, Biona (gomasio is fantastic) etc. Saves me doing a separate shop. Please could you sell seed sprouts ie radish, broccoli and chickpea as well?”

“I am very pleased with my delivery service from ocado. All the staff are very polite and helpful. I like the fact I get a text telling me who will be delivering and the van details. I also haven't had many unavailable items. Exchange is also quick and easy.”

“Drivers always cheerful. Only one late delivery when I wasn't informed. I would like a text about delivery by 7,30. Food always fresh. Find web site a little difficult to follow when I need new items”

“Good delivery slots. Often in the week can be delivered the same day. Rare for there to be substitutes. Very poor consideration to use by dates. Difficult to budget for a weekly shop as use by dates for perishables only within a few days . Poor customer complaints service . But overall ok service.”

“The delivery was overall okay ; however, my grandson (aged 3) was very interested in what the driver was doing and kept saying hello to him over and over again. The driver completely ignored him and never acknowledged him in the slightest. I realise that you are in the grocery delivery business and not there to entertain small children ; however, that just wasn't friendly - my grandson was very upset :-(”

“I like the unfussy customer care and the efficiency & reliability of the delivery service. Small things like the delivery staff wiping their shoes on the doormat when they come in to drop off the bags make a difference. They are also quite responsive to customer suggestions - eg they supply a particular type of tea I like which I asked about as it is difficult to get all year round from other grocers and they put elastic bands round the egg cartons which I think is a response to customer suggestions . The website is also really straightforward to use and you can save money by identifying offers on yr favourite brands and checking yr trolley total too.”

“In general the delivery persons are extremely good, polite and helpful. Keeping to delivery slots, while not perfect, is good. We have often had to complain about badly packed bags, leading to damaged fruit, leaky bags, cakes upside down etc. However, although I would rather have well packed and undamaged shopping, Ocado are very good about refunds. It is very rare to have items missing from your shopping and substitutions are infrequent. They sell a good range but I find it VERY annoying when they introduce something new, we try it and find it really good, then in a few months time, stop stocking it with no warning!! If something I buy regularly is no longer stocked I would like to be told about it and offered an alternative. Last time it happened, I decided to change to Sainsbury's but didn't go through with it as their website was such rubbish. Ocado's is much better, although when you look up offers, the back button takes you back nearly to the beginning of the page you were on and if you had been well down it, it takes ages to find your place again, which is very annoying. I have complained about it several times before but to no avail; it seems correcting it is beyond the wit of their tech department.”
