“Took for ever to get the breakdown request sorted. Couldn’t do it online. A nightmare.!!! Third call to customer service who organised the breakdown service easily. Quick response within the hour but sent a breakdown lorry. He started my car for me but couldn’t confirm what was wrong with my car as it wasn’t his lorry & no tools!! He was very helpful though & followed me home in case I broke down. Which was great because the thought Of trying to get help again frankly would have been a nightmare.A relieved customer to be home with my car but it’s won’t start again now & hopefully I will get it started at home by jump leads & get it to my garage to be inspected & told what’s wrong with the car. This usually happens from my breakdown service. A Very disillusioned customer”

“Not impressed from start to finish Firstly, they couldn’t find me on the system.I then waited 3.5 hours for them to get to me, when the guy did arrive, he seemed really grumpy and had very poor communication and customer service skills. Terrible service really disappointing,”

“Went to One Call website logged in asked in chat if my policy included home start in the breakdown cover that was included they said yes I had paid for that. Then I clicked on the breakdown tab and followed the instructions to report a breakdown which was my car not starting when I turned the key. got a text to say they will be with me in about an hour and a half. Surprisingly they arrived half an hour later. Connected a battery booster to the battery of my car asked to start the car and it started. Job done. Told me to leave the car running for 45 minutes. The guy was very friendly and professional. Would recommend them as they did a good speedy job. I am very satisfied with what they did HG5”

“Dan from Ghost Recovery was most excellent professional and discussed his way through the fault finding. 5 Star Dan. Nevertheless when contact live chat 1 call absolutely useless did not understand my messages and fobbed me off to a telephone number which held me in a queue.....”

“Quick and easy. I was advised it may take up to 180 mins before collection. However, while I was being told this, my was ringing by the breakdown guy to say he was approaching the back of van, and would I like to return to the van”

“Broke down in Exeter on way home to Aberdeen from Cornwall on Saturday afternoon phoned for help from one call OK they could pick my car up but I had to name the garage I wanted my car taken too which I had no idea where any of the garages are as don't come from that area got more help from the pickup company than I did from one call not impressed with them at all was on the phone to them for over an hour while the people that was with me tried finding a garage that was open that we could take our car too so was stuck in the blistering heat with 3 kids for about 3hrs tried finding a company to hire a car but everything closed between 2 and 4pm couldn't get any ended up with loan car from pickup company to get us home now waiting to hear when our car will be ready for pickup which repairs is £1200 (clutch) will never use one call again”

“Initial contact made with a phone call which initiated a text message being received which then required a Web based series of questions. A call was then received and only at that point was the recovery service dispatched. This all took 25 minutes. It all worked with no problem but rather long winded. Cannot fault GRS recovery who transported us home.”
