Buying through OpenDoor was an enjoyable experience. We had a tremendous agent, Lyssa Dorsey, who was on top of all the details from the begin to the end. I have no complaints on the buying side of the OD process.

My husband I purchased a new home from Opendoor as well as we ended up selling them our current home. The process was very easy and convenient. They are very quick to respond to any questions. Someone on the team is always there to answer on any day so you are never waiting the entire weekend for responses. I would highly recommend Opendoor if you are looking for fair, convenient and quick. Would definitely use them in the future!

Opendoor’s approach to home buying was quite intriguing to me as it allowed me to view the home at my earliest convenience. I am the kind of person that prefers to handle as much of the business possible and find ways to eliminate as much out of pocket costs as possible, Opendoor was a perfect match for me. What really added the cherry on the top was how wonderful and engaging each member of the Opendoor door was in the Phoenix area. I will definitely look to them if another home purchase is in the future for me.

We used Opendoor to sell our Charlotte NC home in April 2019. I must admit I was a bit skeptical because it felt like one of those "too good to be true" deals. However, the whole process was seamless, transparent, professional and painless! It was just as advertised. We received our offer in one day. It was a fair offer compared to the comps. The repairs assessment happened in another 3 days with the results being given to us the next day. We only had a HVAC repair even though the house could have used fresh paint. We choose the option of having the repairs done on our own and saved $400. Customer service was top notch. They returned our calls and emails promptly. We needed to change our closing date a couple of times and were able to do so without any hassles. We also needed to stay in the house for a few days after closing to finish our move. They charged a very reasonable $86 per day. We only needed 3 days, but we could have stayed up to 2 weeks. They kept a $2000 deposit until after their final walk through. It was returned to us quite promptly. I would highly recommend using them if you don't want the headaches of showings, open houses or the possibility of the closing falling through. It's high time that the way houses are bought and sold is improved! I would definitely use them again.

From the first contact I had with Opendoor to closing, this was the smoothest, most professional process I've ever had when selling a home. I will highly recommend Opendoor to anyone without question!

We put got our offer accepted on new home and contacted Opendoor to sell our current home, the offer from Opendoor was reasonable and we decided to take it. We were able to choose the closing date on our current home for two weeks after we closed on the new house, so we could take our time moving into the new house and still not have two mortgages at once. The requested repairs from opendoor were reasonable and we chose to do some ourselves and let them do the rest. No hassle of prepping for open houses or keeping the house in showing conditioning for weeks while waiting for it to sell. The entire process could not have been any easier!

Open door is probably good for those in a hurry to sell or not wanting the hassle of going through the normal sales process with a Real Estate Agent and Company. However, it may cost you a lot of money. Open Door quoted my home at far below market value and they charge 6% plus other fees. They inspect and look for repairs that will need to be made in order reduce the price. Since I felt the price was far too low and I was not in a hurry or desperate, I contacted an agent. We eventually listed at $35K higher than the Open Door offer. The Real Estate Company I used charges a 1% listing fee and pays the buyers agent 2,5%. A total of 3.5% to sell We had full service and a team working with us. This led to a full price offer plus other incentives the day after our open house. In total we were listed for 4 days before a contract was signed. I know it can be tempting to take the easy way out, but in our case it would have cost us $35,000 in the sale plus the extra commission and fees that Open Door charges.

We just sold our house on opendoor and had a great experience. Their offer was fair and much higher than offerpad. The process was simple. The inspection was very reasonable. My main concern was that they would try and nickel and dime us but that wasn’t the case. We met up with a mobile notary a few days before closing and signed all the documents and then on the day of closing I received an email and the money was wired to my bank account. Would recommend to anyone who wants a hassle free sale of their home.

After filling out the online questionnaire, the amount we were offered was exactly what we felt, due to comparable homes in our area, was reasonable. That changed with the inspection. They took off over $26,000 due to 'our needing a new roof', in addition to many other 'questionable' items. We knew our roof was in great condition, so we asked to have the roofer walk the roof with us to show us what he felt was wrong. He refused. We decided to put our home on the market with a realtor, had an inspection done, the roof, in addition to the other 'items' that Opendoor had said were needed, were all in perfect condition. Our home sold the first day, for the asking price, and we payed less commission using a realtor. Please, do NOT use open door. We have spoken with other people since our bad experience, and haven't heard anything positive.

I was totally new to this method of selling a house. Having gone thru the process of selling before, I was not looking forward to it. I asked for advice from several sources and got what I thought were biased opinions. I compared Opendoor’s bid to a few other and it was about the same. Now, having gone thru the whole process, I have nothing to say other than this was the least painful sale I have ever had. Opendoor was very flexible and easy to deal with. They did everything exactly as they said they would. Would I use them again, absolutely and without reservation. Highly recommended, good job.....

I got my first "Open Door Estimate" out of the blue-one of those mailing list things. It was about $20K under what I thought it should be. Fast forward one year and another estimate arrives at exactly what I was looking for. My husband and I needed to move-20 years in too much house and not enough maintenance. The team came to do the walk-through and were wonderful-very professional. (They are contractors and aren't able to give any information about how much the repair-credit will be). We expected to hear from Open Door within 5-10 days, but no word. We finally got in touch with someone and they said they were going to walk away and not buy. This is the only negative thing I have to say-they didn't communicate this to us. We asked why and it was due to too much maintenance needed. So......we had the siding on the house redone and tried again. We had to restart the whole process, but it worked like a charm the second time. The repair credit list was very long, and fair. We just couldn't afford to put any more money into the house. In total, we conceded ~ $17K-after putting ~$10 into the siding. The closing process was seamless and easy. I signed the paperwork the day before the final walk-through. *HINT* Have EVERYTHING out of the house BEFORE the walk-through. Our movers were about halfway through and the walk-through was pushed back ~ 4 hours--very stressful when you are closing on a new home the next day. But-Lisa at Open Door was AWESOME and pushed everything through anyway. After the close, I was concerned about whether Open Door would just let the house sit there and not do any of the work from the repair list. Within ~ 4 weeks, the house was listed with photos of a clean, beautiful home. This really impressed me about Open Door-they did the work and flipped the house. All in all, it was a hard move since I was emotionally tied to the house. It was a long process for us, about 4 months from the time we accepted the offer to the close, mainly due to our purchase of another home, but Open Door was very flexible about pushing out the close date. I would definitely recommend them-they gave a fair price and did the work that was listed.

They give you a high price ,and waste your time and call a few days later and say due to the fire in the hills near your house we can't buy it . I would go with a Real Estate agent for sure !!! F Grade !

I can’t tell you how much easier this has been than going the traditional route to sell our house. The move is stressful enough without that added worry. And thank you for being flexible about the closing. Open Door has been wonderful to work with.

I have nothing but good things to say about Opendoor and the process of selling my house from beginning to end. I received a very competitive offer from Opendoor for a house that was my primary residence in Atlanta, GA but became a rental property. Communication with Opendoor was never delayed. Calls and emails were promptly returned. Specifically, to Alex C., Jessica P., and Adrianne W. in the Atlanta office, and Michael M. And Adam E. at O'kelley and Sorohan, Attorneys at Law. These rock stars did not miss a beat. My closing was out of state. The mobile notary met me at work in NC around 4:30 p.m. Monday to sign closing documentation. I am writing this review on a Wednesday night and my disbursement has already been wired to my checking account. The efficency and ease of selling through Opendoor is unnerving. But, trust and believe, it is the real deal.

Opendoor made selling my home hassle free. They are very professional and make it easy step by step of the process. Everything was by email, on the phone with one inspection and walk thru before going to sign the closing papers. The proceeds were in my account the next day. I highly recommended it.
