Terrible customer services. I bought a flight that should have allowed me to amend, but they lied all week about trying to contact me. Totally inept, and a breach of contract.

Like many others, I have fallen victim to the annual membership scam. It should have been made clearer that you are being signed up to a paid subscription. A good example is Hilton, they provide you with members discounts but that membership is 100% free, it's just to sign up to their emails. The lack of transparency of Opodo is shameful and I feel a tad humiliated that I didn't spot this as usually I can detect when I'm being steered astray. Unfortunately, I was only able to recover £45 of my membership back after haggling with them on the phone. The other £45 was given as a credit note which I will not be using as they are an untrustworthy business merchant - I would rather cut my losses. Also, it's a lot cheaper elsewhere! I checked the same flight and it's £25 cheaper direct from the airline. The initial special deals are just to lure you into their prime trap. For those who are unable to cancel, please download the app, click on the account tab and scroll right to the very bottom and in tiny, miniscule font, you will see 'cancel'. Do this asap and screenshot the confirmation of this so you have it as evidence. Then, please log back into web version and remove your credit card details so they cannot take further payment without your knowledge. I hope this has helped some people!

Opodo charged my prime fee twice and they won’t give the money back after I have been trying for weeks again and again. Customer Service does not work AT ALL!! I would not recommend anyone to use or buy opodo premium. (Although they have cheap flights, I will not use it because if anything happens, there is no-one to talk to.)

I would give a minus or zero stars if this was an option. This is a scam company, they sign you up without making it clear that they are doing so, when you book something through them. They then proceed to quietly charge you over $130 AUD per year using the card you paid for your flight or accom with with no communication or warning or agreement. DO NOT USE THEM. They then try to keep you on the phone and in my case they have essentially taken $260 AUD before I realised they were doing it and I still have not managed to remove my credit card details from their site. Additionally they will not give you a name or contact email or number to call to complain. On top of all of the above - their rates are more expensive than other, reliable and honest discount accommodation/ travel companies such as booking.com. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

BEWARE BOOKING WITH OPODO Unauthorised credit card transaction amount: 109.99€ on 21 December 2024 towards Opodo Prime Annual. This transaction happened not with my consent. I did not make the above transaction. I booked a ticket using my credit through Opodo on Dec 6th, 2024, and the ticket price was deducted from my credit card. Followed by without my consent, Opodo deducted 109.99€ from my credit card on Dec 21, 2024, towards Opodo prime membership. I did not request any Opodo Prime membership. Opodo customer care informed me that they had informed me via email before deducting the amount from my credit card, but I did not receive any email. Moreover, the amount deducted without my authorisation (my consent). PLEASE BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU DO BOOKING WITH OPODO

I am 66 and have travelled all over the world. For the past 25 years or so I have used many airline, travel and hotel booking websites. I need to share the details of my worst ever travel experience (December 2024) having booked hotels and flights in the far east via OPODO. I was defrauded out of approx £200 and Opodo then lied to try to cover it up (by trying to blame a mystery "supplier" or third-party for the fraud). I managed to obtain a copy of the offending hotel cancellation email proving that Opodo had taken my money, cancelled the hotel room and then resold it again at a higher price without informing me - or the hotel - and issuing no refund. They LIED by, first, saying the hotel had cancelled the room (easily disproved) and then tried to blame a mysterious third party booking agent. There was no third party - I had booked the hotel on Opodo's website and paid Opodo for it. The hotel then gave me a copy of an email showing that Opodo had cancelled the room, which conclusively proved Opodo's fraud, deceit and lies. I then submitted a claim via their online complaints system but have not received a response. So instead I have had no choice but to get my refund from Mastercard (Virgin Money) who have been very good about it. They will recover their money from Opodo. This was not an unfortunate error by an individual or some sort of misunderstanding. That I can forgive. We are all human. But no, this was a clear and thinly veiled fraud by Opodo, who then lied consistently to deny it and finally, when their lies had been exposed, refused to acknowledge what they had done and abandoned any further contact/correspondence. ALSO, beware of Opodo's 'Prime' service, for which they charge £90 annually - but incidentally tried to take payment twice on my credit card, hoping I wouldn't notice. Opodo 'Prime' is a sham ... many of the huge savings they claim are worthless. Prices for the same hotel/dates/room were up to 25% lower on booking.com than the price with Opodo's "special" discount for 'Prime' customers. Moral of the story: AVOID Opodo at all costs.

At the beginning of December I booked with Opodo. I payed extra for a Silver booking and even became a Premium member so that I had more rights and options. Unfortunately this was not the case. Opodo a.k.a E-dreams does not help or take responsibility. There was an error in the name of one of our bookings. I had emailed, called and even went by the booked airlines to get this very small error fixed. I have screenshots of the 25 times I called and 20 emails. Every single time I was sent somewhere else and got different information. One told me to contact the airlines I would fly with. Other said I needed to cancel and book again. Another said I could not cancel and just book another ticket without getting my money back, because they will not allow me on the flight. Me and my whole family had so much stress, because of something so small. Opodo promised me so many things to fix it. Eventually a day before the flight, nothing was fixed. I had to go to the airport a day before to run around and ask people at the airport. My flight was with Pegasus Airlines. Eventually they laughed and told me Opodo is known for their bad service and never help. Within minutes Pegasus changed te name and everything was oke. I never heard from Opodo again. My cousin and friend work for Tui and KLM. They told me Opodo/E-dreams is horrible and I should never book there. They were right. Horrible.

On December 24, 2024, we booked a simple round-trip flight within Europe for €319 (starting January 2, 2025) with a Prime membership and options for free rebooking to another date and free ticket transfer to another person. That same day, we asked to transfer the ticket. Support didn't believe that the app indicated a free ticket transfer and asked for a screenshot, which we provided as proof. Ridiculous enough that Opodo support has no clue what they are offering! After the passenger could not be reached by phone on Christmas Eve, Opodo wrote an email in bad German saying that the fare had "changed to 21 euros" and that we needed to confirm it. Since it didn't make sense that the price had changed from €319 to €21, we asked what this meant and confirmed a price increase of €21, if that was what they meant. The email was ignored. After another day of waiting, we opened the in-app chat again and asked for the ticket transfer again. We got the same email again, that they couldn't reach us (we didn't get a call at all), this time saying that the price had "changed to 260 €". We asked again what this meant, but the email was again ignored. After reopening a chat and calling support, we were informed that the transfer of the ticket would indeed cause ADDITIONAL costs over €260, so that we would have to pay a total of €579. They also explained that "free" only meant that Opodo wouldn't charge anything. However, the app showed "free" with no information or even a link to information that the airline might actually charge for the transfer, so we refused to pay an additional €260. On Jan. 1, 2025, we then tried to claim the promised date change. In the app it was clearly shown that we could change the date until Jan 2, 2025 7:25 AM, a screenshot was taken as proof. The app then showed that it was no longer possible to change the flight online, we would have to contact support. We then opened a chat and called support by phone. They then stated, although we noticed the evidence made by the screenshot, Opodo couldn't make any changes to the flight any longer because we had previously refused to pay 260 € for the ticket transfer, we would be responsible for everything and we would have lost the right to claim any prime feature on this flight. Our note that we made screenshots of everything, offering FREE ticket transfer and FREE change of date, possible until Jan 2, 2025 7:25 AM, was ignored. When we told them that we feel scammed, they replied that they had "recorded everything from us and that we have confirmed all the conditions we are being confronted with" - which of course isn't the case! At the end of such calls, they refused to hang up and just muted their microphone, trying to prevent us from giving a negative rating at the end of the call via their rating system. Phone calls to support always ended up in an Indian call center, in bad English, an extremly bad connection and with a level you usually see on YouTube documenting Indian call centers full of scammers. Last but not least, they also scammed us twice with the Prime membership. We were told that we would get a trial membership for one month, but in fact we were charged a full membership for 89.99 € on the very first flight we booked. After the nightmare with the support - so far we spent hours and hours in chats, on the phone and by email - we wanted to cancel the Prime membership in time, but the app kept interrupting, demanding to uncheck all Prime features first, finally telling us to keep the membership and promising to send a notification three days in advance before the membership would be renewed and our credit card would be charged. However, the notification was not sent and the credit card was charged again. After calling support, the Indian support staff again told us that it was our fault, not theirs, and that the notification would only be sent if the checkbox in the app was checked. They also denied that a Prime membership was paid for 2024. Here they provided a voucher of 90 € for future bookings, but still denied that we had paid for a full membership for one month, thus still denied that a trial membership was in fact NOT provided. In total we paid hundreds of Euros for nothing, several emails were simply ignored, the support staff always denied any responsibility and instead stated that it was all our fault. To summarize: They offered a free ticket transfer, but refused to do so. They offered free change of date, but refused to do so. They offered free trial membership, but instead charged a full one-year membership fee for actually one remaining month. They promised a notification three days before the next charge, but failed to do so and charged another full one-year membership. This is how scams work in commercial style! BEWARE OF THIS PROVIDER!

It’s a con. Two years now they have taken £89.99 from my bank account without permission. Despite many phone calls I haven’t got any money back. I used them once 3 years ago by mistake and have paid dearly…..

I purchased a ticket and cancelled within 24 hours. The airline acknowledged the cancellation and sent me a confirmation email, likewise so did Opodo. The airline credited Opodo and told me to get my refund from them. I contacted Opodo and they refused a refund, stating that the airline refused to refund. I know this is not true as the airline have confirmed in writing they have credited Opodo and a refund is due to me. The service from the agent's at Opodo is shocking. I don't understand why a company thinks its OK to steal from clients. Definitely not leaving it and will take further action.

I can only assume that the customer reviews on this page are fake. Anybody referencing a "customer service representative" has clearly never tried to connect to a human being employed by this disgrace of a company. We booked a flight a few months ago and accidentally got one of the names wrong. We discovered the error immediately and tried to get Opodo to change the record (according to their policy that's possible within 48 hours). We tried for days to get this corrected and ultimately ended up in a loop of automatically generated messages. We ended up having to rebook a ticket because Opodo was incapable of making the necessary changes and have since blanked any request for refund. Stay clear of this "service" provider!

Worst booking experience I've ever had and if you reach the support, they are not able to help you because the only care about their margins and making money from fees to "create a seamless booking experience" when you actually get the right opposite and they only care about getting more from you
