“★★★★★ I purchased a very high-spec Recoil 18 from PCSpecialist and, after using it for a while, I’m extremely pleased with both the machine and the overall experience. My configuration includes an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, NVIDIA RTX 5090 24GB, 128GB Kingston Fury RAM, a 4TB Samsung 9100 PRO Gen5 SSD and a 4TB Samsung 990 PRO Gen4 SSD. I use the laptop for software development, AI-related work, large file management and general business use, so I wanted something powerful that could replace my previous computer without compromise. After moving everything from my old machine to the Recoil 18 and setting up my development and storage environment, the difference in performance has been excellent. One of the biggest advantages of PCSpecialist was being able to choose the exact components I wanted rather than being restricted to a manufacturer's fixed configuration. The Recoil 18 also offers excellent upgrade potential, which was important to me when buying a machine I intend to keep for several years. The 18-inch UHD+ 240Hz display is excellent, performance is extremely fast, and the system handles heavy multitasking effortlessly. It certainly isn't a cheap laptop, but considering the specification, customisation and upgrade possibilities, I'm very happy with my decision. Excellent machine and a very positive experience with PCSpecialist.”

“This is my 5th computer from PCSpecialist, in fact all are still in use, the new one 'The Beast' is my every day one, the '10' is not retiring, its going up to the office where it will still run all the older programmes, the '7' yes I still have one running, its for playing old PC games on, its not connected to the internet, then there's the baby of the family, the XP, which still works, still runs games, albeit by todays standards a little slow, the 5th computer I bought for my daughter and I can't even remember how long ago that was but it is still in every day use, her partner updated a few things but the basics are still there, you cannot buy a PC from anyone else, the communication, the help building the pc, ordering, complete contact regards build progress, delivery and packaging, I can't begin to tell you how well it was package, in fact all the PCs were really well packaged. so, if a 70 year old grandmother can figure out how to build a computer using PCSpecialist - anyone can!! I wouldn't use anyone else. They build computers to last.”

“Overall, the PC arrived quickly and was very well packaged, and the build itself is excellent. However, I was disappointed with the CPU cooler that was supplied. I’m not a PC specialist, so when ordering I specifically rang and asked for the specification to be checked to make sure I hadn’t selected anything incorrectly. I was assured that everything was fine. I also understood that the website’s PC builder was designed to check compatibility and suitability. Unfortunately, on the first use and during setup, it became apparent that the CPU cooler wasn’t really up to the job for the i9 processor I had selected. After doing some research myself, I found that the cooler supplied appeared to be significantly below what was appropriate for the CPU’s potential thermal output. I subsequently purchased and fitted a suitable water cooler, and since then everything has been working great. I’m very pleased with the PC overall, and the ordering, delivery and packaging were all excellent. My only real criticism is that I feel the undersized CPU cooler should have been flagged during the specification/compatibility checks, especially after I specifically called to ask for the build to be checked. It would have been much better if I’d been contacted before dispatch and given the option to upgrade the cooler rather than discovering the issue myself after receiving the PC. So, overall, a good experience and a great PC, but I do feel the cooling selection could have been handled better.”

“I was recommended to PC Specialist by a friend who has used them multiple times. Seamless order processing through to online updates showing the order progressing through the system - all very useful. “Was apprehensive about pressing the button with the current high costs. I need not have worried though, great build (again). Cost is already a distant memory, should have done it sooner. My old PCS build is now with my son and still going strong, and his PCS build has gone to my wife (no more interuptions to do admin). I love that I didn't have to purchase a graphics card as part of the build too, when my current card still has a couple years left in it...”

“This is my second custom-built gaming PC and I must say, the ordering process is so EASY! I ended up picking a power supply that was more than my computer actually needed and a nice little message popped up to recommend that one of cheaper options would be sufficient enough, resulting in me saving money, which I thought was a really thoughtful touch. From the easy-to-navigate website, to the insanely detailed tracking details (you even get a 360° image of exactly what your computer will look like), to the multitude of delivery options, I have no regrets ordering from PC Specialist again. I would highly recommend them! Thank you for the fantastic service, I'll see you on my next PC upgrade!”
