“Custom PC review. My PC took 11 days (8 working days) to arrive after ordering, it was delivered exactly within the window provided by the courier. I am extremely happy with the PC, it all works as intended with no major issues. # Positives: - It ended up being £30 cheaper than if I had built the same system myself. I didn't get the same case or cooler (Same price range as PCSpecialist's options.) I would've happily paid extra just to save myself the stress and back ache of building it myself. I have zero regrets buying a pre-built from PCS. - The most silent PC I have ever heard. I have to check the lights to make sure I actually turned the PC on, because I can barely hear the fans rev up. - PC stays cool during long gaming sessions, the temperatures are great. - Pretty quick build time, and you're kept up to date via e-mails and the order page. You even get a 360 view of your PC after it has been built, and can request changes. - My PC was actually dispatched on a Saturday, and arrived on a Sunday despite everything saying deliveries were only Mon-Fri. I'm probably an edge case but it was greatly appreciated. # Negatives: - Lack of variety in part options, you're limited to mostly Corsair or PCSpecialist branded parts. Especially the CPU coolers. - The SSD NV.ME drive somehow boots slower than my old SATA SSD. From 20s~ (SATA SSD) to 37s (New SSD) No issues with my PC other than that. Really not that big of a deal. - You recieve a box alongside your PC including spare cables, brackets and screws but none of them are labelled. - An "additional notes" section would be nice on the PC configuration page, so you can specify other PC build needs that aren't covered by the drop down menus. I wanted to install two HDDs but had to install the power cables myself (oh woe is me.) - The chart on the order status page is slightly outdated, and even a tiny bit confusing.”

“Really easy process to build the PC including ensuring everything was compatible. Really clear updates on progress of the build via my account along with good email comms. PC arrived really well packaged and really pleased with the build - no marks, smudges or scratches and everything worked straight away. Highly recommended.”

“I was trying to buy a fairly basic laptop but when I looked at the well known companies, they offered very few customisation options. The PC Specialist website was easy to use and had all the options I required for screen size, disk configuration, OS and CPU. Their pre-sales support answered the phone very quickly and were clear and helpful. My PC was built in a few days (ordered on Monday, delivered on Friday) with an update as stage was completed. The packaging was excellent. Setting up the laptop was as straightforward as these things can be. The one problem I had with my external monitor not being recognised was fixed in a few minutes with a call to Support. I have now been using the laptop for a week and it is performing as I had hoped.”

“Having used PC Specialist in the past for a PC for my son, we were in need of a new laptop for the office. This wasn't a pre-built laptop, but I ordered on the Monday and it was delivered by DPD that Friday. Very impressive turnaround time, frequent updates via email and very well packaged.”

“Although I’ve seen some different stories about delivery and production time, I ordered a very respectable build with the 7700XT and 7700X, thinking these would be popular parts and there may be a wait. I did not use the finance option, however. I was told 10 days, it took 9 I believe, and it’s been brilliant so far. I focused mainly on the internals rather than fancying the outside case and fans, etc so I was just expecting a dark and lifeless PC, however the basic fans included with the cases all had RGB which was a nice surprise, with a big (I think acrylic?) screen to see inside. Would (and have) recommend!”

“I need to say that their after sales support, and the integrity of their staff are excellent. Without going in to unnecessary detail, I needed help from senior staff at Wakefield. Some months had passed, and a bit of checking needed to be done, but after accepting my concerns they showed me a very high level of personal care. The team leader with the initials MD was a real credit to their company, and went the extra mile for me, in order that I had the best possible outcome. I think the peace of mind you get buying from a company like PC Specialist goes a long way. Touch wood, I now have my dream pc. Really well done.”
