Pets Best has been a lifesaver for my one-year-old cat. She recently had an accident in which her bill cost over $5,300. Pets Best covered 90% of her bill which helped us out immensely. I feel a lot more comfortable bringing her to the vet and emergency room knowing they will support us with getting her the help she needs.

Overall very good company. The website is very consise and easy to use, as well as the app. Simple and easy to understand claims process. The claims process needs to be expedited as sometimes it takes way too long right now, otherwise great company!

Majority of claims are processed very quickly. On occasion there are slight delays but always communicated and processed shortly after the communication. Payouts have been as expected and overall happy with service.

We have had pets best for years and have had no issues with things being covered and have received remimbursement in a timely manner. The only complaint I have is the amount the premium has increased yearly. At this point it’s getting out of hand. The premium started at $380 and is now over $1,500. My cat was 7 when we started and is 11 now.

We called and spoke with someone in customer service who instructed us on what they needed to complete our claim. We then saw that they needed addition information. We again called and spoke a man who was rude and not helpful. We then called back a third time, spoke with Janet who was so nice and helpful. All information was in the system just needed to be attached to the correct claim as they had split the claim up. Fingers crossed!

Takes a month to complete claim, seems a bit long. Otherwise seems to do a good job.

I was concerned on the turn around time to process me last claim. I tried calling Pets Best several time and the phone just rang.

Everything I expected to be covered was as expected. Only complaint is how long it is taking, nearly a month to get paid from a claim, without any real explanation on what the delay is (just that they don't need anything from me to resolve the issue).

Very expensive, but we do have a large breed, 13 year old dog. Claims are judged fairly in accordance with our policy. However, it takes too long to receive claims payments.

I've been with PetsBest since my German Shepherd was just over a year old, and she is turning 8 in October. My Golden Retriever has had it just as long and just turned 7 in June! Firstly, submitting claims in a breeze. You just take a picture of your invoice and upload it while selecting the vet hospital you went to. If they need any further information they'll reach out to the hospital for you. It's easy to submit, but sometimes you will be waiting a fairly long time for an answer on your claim. Med refills for chronic medications take just a couple days whereas big bills take much longer... I once submitted a claim that took close to 6 weeks. Most vet hospitals will require you to pay up front and get reimbursement on your own for pet insurance. Make sure you have a way to have the money up front. As long as the condition or incident isn't due to something pre-existing, I've never had a problem getting things covered! This is why I always recommend getting pet insurance on young, healthy animals. Better to have it young for use when they're old, than try to get it later in life and have denials because of pre-existing things. I will say, over the years my insurance has nearly tripled in price. I expect when I renew in February of '25 that it will definitely be triple at that point. I started out at like $52/yr for both dogs and am currently paying $144. Both of my dogs have chronic health conditions and are on daily medication so I expect it to go up each year, but 2024's jump was pretty brutal; I went from paying $88/month to the $144/month I'm at now. Crossing my fingers the jump isn't so drastic next year. If it is, I'll likely have to look into changing my policy up a bit to compensate. Right now I have the second-best option with unlimited coverage and 90% reimbursement. This is very helpful and luckily I haven't ever had to test the "unlimited" part of that coverage... hopefully I never have to. Overall, I'm knocking off a full star for the price hike this year and the time delay in larger bills being covered. But I still highly recommend pet insurance and PetsBest has always had great value for the coverage compared to others!

Generally Pets best has always been great. The only issue I have is when a claim is filed they like to take their time and delay to pay the claim which is disappointing. For example, I’ll submit a claim and Pets Best will wait for about a week or two then they will send an email saying they need to request medical records. Seems like they should be requesting the records from the start.

Happy with Pets Best. Not a 100% satisfied with how long it takes to receive your reimbursement after submitting a claim though! Luckily we've only had minor claims, but I'm honestly worried if we have have a huge claim like say in the thousands and it taking a couples months. Will they pay for the finance charges on our cc??

PetsBest has saved us a considerable amount of money since we've had our Shih Tzu, so I'm glad to have chosen it to insure him. My only negative is that the response and reimbursement time is sometimes slow.

we are very happy with the insurance. price is competitive, coverages gives you option to tailor to suit your pet, and what you see is what you get. no surprises in the years we've been with the company. the only change we've noticed is the time it takes to process a claim. I've been submitting medical records in hopes that would help speed the process but that has not worked. Submitted a claim a few days ago and was given a processing timeframe in September that went all the way out to the 21st. Not sure why processing times have increased so much. Perhaps this could be an area of improvement. Once again, we are very happy with the insurance and the company.
