Only 50% of my visit was cancelled. They haven’t even looked at the claim for the Heartworm and frontline that I ordered from chewy. I ordered that a week before my vet visit happened.

I was expecting more coverage and, to date, have only received $120 on over $1000 spent at the vets. My fault, should have read the fine print.

i got two emails within 12 hrs. 1 said you'll get a check for vet. 2nd said u won't. emailed and haven't gotten an answer.

IN the past 6 months the time it takes to receive a claim of 45 days is unacceptable. In addition, my last claim was denied because the medical treatment by the Veterinarian of cleaning out an infected ear was determined to be grooming and bathing. I have appealed this absurd denial.

Not enough coverage. Getting too expensive, and not covering as much as before. Reimbursement is slow too. Almost no coverage on dental. Very sad as I am now a senior and cannot afford what’s not covered.

This has been the worst experience yet. It took 2 months with ongoing issues of documentation and communication. I kept receiving incorrect emails about the status. If customer care had been better at communicating, it would have been so much better. There were emails I sent that I didn’t even get a response to. When I called, staff were perfectly friendly but it didn’t solve the case. Unclear what’s going on at Pets Best, it’s never been like this, but I probably tried to figure my claim with 4 or 5 different people.

I am very happy with this policy, but considering not renewing either of my dogs. I have a $5000 max limit each year, and starting next month they are increasing my premium on just ONE of the dogs by $100 a month. So that means my premium is going to cost me over $3200 a year.....for a $5000 limit. It's like they don't want my business anymore. I'll be calling the California insurance commissioner about this. Amidst a pandemic, when most vets aren't even seeing non-emergent cases, this feels like price gouging. (One dog is going to cost me $270 a month? I thought $170 was already steep....)

We submitted our receipt for reimbursement, did not covered the wellness check, as previously done before. Not Happy with this pet insurance...

I am very displeased lately as I’ve had to wait several weeks and after several calls for assistance with my pets illness! After paying premiums for my sweet pet for 12 years now with this company , you would think that I’ve paid my dues for at least some respect and a caring person to converse with about my family members coverage. I shouldn’t have to call over and over again to tell them how to read the doctors notes in my pets files for reoccurring findings! The premiums should also not go up so much every year especially if you have been a good policy holder and been a loyal premium paying customer. I’m stuck now with this company because my pet is 12 years old and when I need the insurance now it’s become unaffordable. Sometimes life just sucks and you learn lessons everyday on who will be there for you or not?

They raise the price every year so much it will become unaffordable for a dog that lives 10 12 years.... very happy with the way they have always handled claims and paid me back but .... my last bill was almost 1,200 a year

By the time they disqualify the procedures they decide not to cover, add the deductible and copays for every item, little money is actually refunded. Almost $400 for anal gland abscess got me a $95 refund. I plan to cancel and just create a savings account. If I deposit what the insurance cost me, it will give me a substantial fund.

Pays claims really fast at first, then they slow to a snails pace. Takes over 3-4 weeks to get claims processed. Been hearing the same excuse for over a year and it seems like they’ve done nothing to fix the problem.

Not sure what is going on but for the last year, my claims take longer and longer. My last claim took about 30 days for a wellness checkup. My first claims took only 48 hours. Ridiculous excuses of being back logged.

Customer service is friendly and efficient but other than that I would no longer recommend Pets Best to anyone who asks my opinion on pet insurance. The premiums go up exponentially every year. It is not just modest increases with age as one would expect. They tell me it's because my pets are older... they are not puppies anymore but at 5 years old I would not call that elderly. It's almost not affordable anymore even with modifying my policy every year to cover less and less.Claims used to be fairly quick and easy (submit online, hear back within 2-3 weeks). However, now it is taking months to get a claim processed. I am not sure what happened with this company but I wish I had researched more before signing on with them. Now I'm "stuck" with them because anywhere else I go will have pre-existing condition clauses for my pets.
