It took over 30 days for my claims to be processed. Once they were processed I was not reimbursed for multiple things. I have 2 cats in which claims were submitted and they were both processed completely different. I called to get the bills corrected. Within 36 hours I got a call back saying my claim was corrected and I am all set. They only corrected one claim.. third times a charm I hope. It will be well over 40+ days until I receive the reimbursement payments, it is very frustrating!

The process to submit is easy however the reimbursement time has grown longer and longer and longer over the past 2 years. We get the same story every time we call ... “we are working to hire more people”... “we are working to lower our wait times”.... “this isn't the norm”.... when we joined pets best it was 7-10 days max, it has grown to 39 days now and that has grown over the last 4 months from 20 days... it’s pushing 2 months to be reimbursed... it is no longer the best option out there as there are many other companies that are processing in the 10 day timeline. It’s very disappointing.

They take forever to get you your money. I sent them an invoice, from the vet, for what i paid for and they said they need an actual receipt that shows a zero balance, as if a vet would let you leave without paying. it took them about teo weeks for them to tel me they didnt have enough info to process my request and to send the actual receipt and RE SUBMIT my claim. That means I had the process all over. It took 31 days from start for them to review my claim and was paid within 33 days of starting the process. Everytime i submit a claim they send me an email that says "the amount of claims is higher than usual, we may take longer to process yours." Hire.more.people. at this point it seems pertinent to your survival. They also take 2-3 days to respond to your emails.

I have very mixed feelings about the company. It seems odd to me that an exam for a possible fracture ( per x-ray) from a fall( an accident) be considered a medical condition if no fracture was found by the specialist. I understand not paying for treatment of the medical condition but not the refusal to pay for the exam and x-rays needed to rule out the fracture. The staff seem knowledgable and helpful, and even supportive of clients in distress. Maybe my experience was unusual and complicated the vet involved? Too bad for my dogs!

We keep policies on our dogs to insure against costly accidents or catastrophic illness. The repayment is pathetic for routine but covered expenses. A recent vet visit to check my dog's sprained shoulder generated a $178 dollar bill. After my $100 deductible, Pets Best reimbursed us $7 and denied the rest of the expenses. Typical of our past experiences.

Our dogs' flea and tick and heartworm preventatives cost $180 for three months. The insurance paid back $5. Our pet insurance runs about $1,200/year. Claim took over a month to process. Not happy....

I sent a claim on the beginning of February and Yesterday 03/06/2020 they sent me and email about my refund for half of the bill but I haven’t received anything in my bank account.

Very easy claim submittal process. However, the turnaround time for claims is much too long - over a month for my last claim for a simple heartworm prescription refill.

They have increased my policy cost to the point I can no longer keep the insurance. Their claim response time has gotten much longer and they do not cover medically required and doctor prescribed food and supplements. I am no longer satisfied with their series and will it be renewing our policy.

the time for claims to be processed is entirely too long - and continues to be a challenge financially to wait for reimbursement. I understand you have changed the timing expectation - but that does not change the fact that the process is much longer than it used to be. i am hoping this gets better

I am happy that I got the majority of my money back. However, this claim of being a fast insurance to process claims is bogus. 30 to 40 days of a claim being processed!? My husband and I struggled financially for a good few months due to a high amount of interest we had to pay due to paying the pet fees with our cards. We also had other bills we needed to pay. We had to ask for extensions in paying our bills due to the slowness of the insurance processing our claims...ridiculous!

Reimbursements now take over a month. Even though we receive 2 apology letters, this is totally unacceptable Also, your people are not as kind on the phone anymore.
