For what I pay a month it sure doesn’t cover much

So far, I'm not impressed. My other dog used to have lemonade insurance and they paid claims quickly and actually paid attention to what the bill was. Pets best must have AI reading the bills and declining them or only paying partial payment. It took almost 3 weeks to get reimbursement. Lemonade used to take 3 days. I think I'm going to switch to lemonade because waiting 3 to 4 weeks for a claim to be paid is ridiculous.

I've had this insurance for 2.5 years. For the first time, we actually reached our deductible and Pet's Best couldn't have been worse to deal with to process the claim. I had to call and spend an estimated 2 hours on the phone with them over 3 different calls to get them to actually read the medical records that were provided by our vet offices. At the end of every call, they would assure me the medical records review team would read ALL of the files, and then just days later I'd get another email saying insufficient medical records even though they were all there the entire time. Highly disorganized, slow to process, and unhelpful support. Would not recommend.

I pay 80 bucks a month to not get everything covered.

It took a while to get my claim approved but only because my Vet is terrible about sending records when they are requested.

We found Pets Best when we brought our golden puppy home almost 4 yrs ago. Great company with quick claim payout. We have been very happy with our decision and tell everyone we know to check them out.

Would be 5 stars, but processing claims and payments sometimes can take an extended amount of time. My dog tends to take the same pills each month and has the same tests at the same vets, but sometimes they they review and pay quickly and sometimes they don't. Also not a huge fan that only 80% of what I pay goes toward my deductible when I'm paying 100%. It basically makes the $1,000 deductible actually a $1,200 deductible. Not a huge deal, but they seem to be the only company that I've seen do it that way.

I have a lot of issues with Pet's Best. But I've had other dogs in the past, insured through other companies, and none of them seem to be any better. When I adopted another dog (Wizard) in November 2024, and added him to my policy with my other dog (Grogu), I wanted to have identical coverage. Unfortunately I accidentally chose a deductible of $1,000 rather than $100. When I called to change it, I was told that I can only lower the deductible by $100 per year. That's ridiculous. Wizard is a senior dog. While I love him very much, and want him to live a long and healthy life, I'm also realistic. I doubt he will live long enough to reach that desired deductible of $100. If I'm willing to pay the increased premium, why should it matter? 2. Reaching a customer representative by phone is difficult. The wait times are atrocious. Plus when you finally get someone, they often don't understand the question, due to language skills. 3. The website is frequently glitchy and dysfunctional; the app is even worse. Trying to submit a claim is frustrating more often than not. Just in the last 3 days, I have tried to log into the app to submit a claim. Every time I've tried to log in, there's a spinning circle for a few minutes, then nothing.

It’s a huge, huge relief to know I’m taken care of by Pets Best. I can’t recommend them enough. I’ve had to file claims now on 2 very sick dogs and both times it was fast and simple. This last time absolutely saved my dog’s life. There’s simply no way I could have afforded to pay for the weeklong hospitalization and treatment required to keep my boy alive. But knowing I had pet insurance spared him and spared us from massive debt! I can’t begin to describe what it’s like to talk to vets without worrying about the bill.

After extensive research comparing MetLife, Pumpkin, Figo, and several other providers, we chose Pets Best for our new Toy Fox Terrier puppy. The deciding factors were unlimited annual coverage, 90% reimbursement, a $250 deductible, and the BestWellness add-on — all at a price point that beat every competitor we evaluated. We enrolled before Peanut's first vet visit, which turned out to be important. Our first claim was submitted for the wellness visit and was paid quickly and without friction. That first experience tells you a lot about an insurer. The policy language is transparent, the coverage for hereditary and congenital conditions is genuine, and the BestWellness benefit covers exactly what it says it does. For a breed with known genetic health risks, having unlimited coverage with no annual cap is not a luxury — it's a necessity. Highly recommend doing the math yourself across providers. When we did, Pets Best wasn't even close.

Pets Best has been the best insurance company I've ever worked with. The are responsive, follow up promptly, and are kind to interact with. I've had nothing but a great experience with them. I'll be using them for all of my future pet insurance needs.

Pets Best is a good insurance, so far. The only issue is when you call to talk to someone, it can take some time for someone to answer. They need to improve their customer service in that aspect.

I have never had an issue with them covering anything that’s stated inside of their policy.
