Good health benefits are limited so why should I continue to pay for them? I had a 210 dollar wellness charge and I was reimbursed $30.

Each line item on the schedule is the maximum the policy would pay for that line item for your pet in a policy year. Unfortunately, your pet may use up the benefits quickly depending on what your veterinarian charges for their services. When we first joined, the claims would go through fairly quickly. Now , it takes months for claims to be processed. Also there is no way to see when your deductible resets or how much you have left to meet . There is also no clear way to see if you’re getting refunded since you can’t track your deductible.

The lag time to receive reimbursement takes much too long, a month or more and they split the submission up into multiple orders which makes it much harder to monitor.

Not sure I am satisfied with the wellness benefits. Took a young dog for her first dental and most denied. Took her for spay and all denied due to dental surgery. Wellness is paid at a very low rate.

Our BestWellness endorsement is the only endorsement where we offer reimbursement for a pet’s spay, neuter, or teeth cleaning. The BestWellness plan covers up to $150 of the total cost of the surgery/procedure. The claim process was fairly quick. I submitted a claim and it was approved two days later. My only complaint is that the annual maximum wellness amount is very low. I have the most premium plan, Best Wellness, and it only covers $50 a year for any wellness exams. That just means that I will only be reimbursed $50 for one exam at the vet per year. After that, I will have to pay for all exams out of pocket, and we all know how expensive that can be.

The claim took much longer than usual I was also surprised at how little was covered. I don’t think the health and wellness coverage is worth what we are paying.

Took over 30 days to process my claim. Multiple calls and emails . It would be better to have an online message system for communication. The app would not accept my corrected documents to be uploaded.

The app is horrendous. It freezes and you don’t have the ability to submit a claim through it because of this. The coverage and price are fine, but it also takes over a month for a review and reimbursement.

They seem great but even after paying 50 bucks a month, I still have a 500 dollar deductible and they only counted 50 of a 240 dollar bill towards that deductible. I honestly can’t afford that. That’s why I got pet insurance in the first place

The PetsBest app is constantly down which doesn’t allow me to check my claims. Also, the coverage is not as good compared to other insurances.

I was very happy with them, till I called to see if blood test for my dog would be covered when he was neutered. This was an additional charge. The CSR I talked to said yes it would. So I went and had the blood test done. I received the reimbursement and they did not pay it. I wouldn't have had the blood test if they had said no.

The rates of reimbursement seem to me to be falling over the last couple of years and I am wondering if they justify the monthly premiums (for us).

I have had Pets Best insurance for over 3 years now... typically it was taking 30-45 days to get feedback on a claim with minimal reimbursement and recently I was shocked to see 4 day turnaround and almost 90% reimbursement. It is for "peace of mind" for our precious Golden!

We have had nothing but problems with claims. Our Reggie takes 2 medications. One we order from the vet the other we have to get from a regular Pharmacy. You get the same paper work when you pick up a prescription like for you and me. I get back from PetsBest we need 1) an invoice,2) why didn't you take your pet to a vet 3) there is not enough info for proof payment & 4) some of the info was obscured. Answer: 1) there is NO INVOICE it's a refill of his medication At CVS PHARMACY of course there is no invoice 2) Because it's a REFILL of his medication he didn't need to see a vet cause there was a refill for 1 refill. I CANT GET his medication at the vets office 3) I tracked down our credit card statement where we paid for his medication. But that's not good enough what do they want my first born. 4) NONE OF THE INFORMATION WAS OBSCURED.!!!! We've already been ripped off by them once they refused to reimburse us even though I kept sending in what they wanted, but it wasn't good & put on our baby's file we refused to send in the info. It just erks me they won't be specific as to what is missing.
