Seems like prices are going up every year and they are taking time paying out.

When researching insurance to buy for my dog, positive reviews, insurance coverage offered and quick reimbursements came into play. This being my first experience putting in a claim, I must say I’m less than impressed. Original upload of claim super easy. After a few weeks however and no progress being made on claim when I checked the status online, I called and you can’t get thru to anyone. However, I received an email afterwards stating claims were behind so they know I called because you need to enter your claim number. It took a month but claim has been processed per an email I received so I guess that’s something. Customer service I felt is lacking.

STILL have not received any reimbursements from when I paid for a puppy package for each of my two puppies. My vet has contacted Pets Best for me to try to resolve this issue but nothing has come if either one of them

Very easy to work with but very slow. It’s difficult to pay vet bills when you’re waiting months for payment.

Seemed to be a reasonable premium and decent coverage but the first claim we submitted for our dog has been sitting being processed for at least a month at this point.

I think that it takes too long for my bills to be reimbursed. My insurance has doubled since 2020 and my bills are still piling up. I pay more for dog insurance than I pay for my insurance. There is really nothing I can do about it. My premium is $325.00 That is more than what my wife and I pay for our medical insurance. What do i need to do to lower my costs,

Overall the process for submitting claims is normally quick. Assuming they use some A.I. that really expidites the process if the invoices are clear. However, there have been times where I've submitted invoices that were not super clear and required human intervention. In those cases, the system is very rigid. I still have outstanding money owed to me, despite a representative telling me to simply submit some additional documentation via email. I'm still waiting.

I hesitate to give more stars than 3 only because it seemed to take a long time to get a simple claim processed and paid. If a claim is simple and uncomplicated, it should go through automatically and payment out the door in a few weeks. Mine took more time to process for flea and tick chewable tablets. Very frustrating. If the claim is a complicated hospitalization, I can see it taking more time. Perhaps your claims area should be separated to have a group of people only process simple claims and another group process complicated claims. It may go faster that way and you may have happier customers.

It's good when it works, but unfortunately takes so long to reimburse $ I can't currently continue treatment for my pet, I've been waiting over 1.5months for the last claim and it still says it's in progress.

Last claim took a month to process. Not sure if all pet insurance companies take that long, but we’re thinking it’s unlikely we’ll stay with Pets Best.

In 2023 I insured a 6 year old Aussie dood and a baby puppy. **Pets Best has increased my renewal premium 40% From $960 to $1430…simply terrible!!! They did pay out on two claims for my doodle, and I was happy with that process. But the new premiums are too expensive.

I didn't think the rates would increase so drastically each year, it seems like the policies will be impossibly expensive as my pets age. Waiting over 1 month for a $5K reimbursement was pretty rough and put me in a bad financial spot. I feel like 2 weeks should be a fair amount of time for a claim. Portal is nice though, submitting claims is easy, payouts seem fair when they do finally come through.

I have yet to really assess the insurance company. I've submitted two vet bills and as yet have not been reimbursed nor, told if or how much my reimbursement would be. I signed my fur baby up for the insurance plan last fall. To date, I'm paying monthly insurance premiums on autopay. I'm hoping that I do not feel regret. Thank you

Pets Best has great customer service, but they take WAY too long to process claims. Some of the pet insurance companies process claims within hours to days from what I’ve heard, while Pets Best takes weeks to months. They really need to enhance this to stay competitive

When you call in for an agent, it takes some time to get an agent, but I found that all the agents were very professional and friendly. Otherwise, the whole process of Submitting a claim was horrendous. It took a long time and there was a lot of back-and-forth between your company and my veterinarian to exchange forms and sometimes I kept getting hounded to send more forms which I sent everything.

This recent claim was processed in a reasonable amount of time but it has been my experience other times that the processing was very long and the customer service was poor. We had two dogs insured but left one dog with Best Pet and insured the other dog else where, which works much better.

Love the coverage but goes up in price alot each year. Takes a long time for claims to be paid sometimes over 30 days
