I insured a second puppy expecting to get multiple pet discount like promised and I did not.

Incredibly long claim processing times, every time. I have insurance through nationwide for my other dog and they take a few days to process claims. Pets best can take up to 30 days for most claims.

Hard to get claims approved and doesnt tell you exactly what is missing in order to get approved. Can't use the chat option to speak with someone due to high volume of messages no matter what time of day.

I’ve had this insurance for years now. Unfortunately the claims take too long to reimburse. If my dogs didnt have pre-existing issues I would go elsewhere but no other insurance would cover them now. A covered prescription for treatment should not take 30-40 days to reimburse. Covid was the excuse 4 years ago but now their routine policy I’m told is 40 days for all claims. The only positive thing I can say is that the representatives and customer service reps are all wonderful making the bigger issue at hand more tolerable.

I’ve been a PetsBest customer for the past year. Reimbursements are VERY slow, taking about a month to receive. Customer service is almost non existent, often receiving generic information back when requesting a timeframe for reimbursement. The app rarely works, to get any account information I have to log on through the web site. If I wasn’t already established and didn’t worry about switching insurance companies due to “pre-existing” factors, I would have switched to someone else.

I pay $670.00 plus every quarter to insure 2 dogs. The premiums are charged to my credit card promptly. When I submit a claim the wait time for reimbursement and / or denial is getting longer and longer. I find this confusing. You went up on premiums and down on service. Not a great look.

Overall we have been pleased. Reimbursement times vary greatly. Sometimes you get a check in a few weeks other times it can take a few months. My other concern is the reimbursement amounts per year on vaccines, heartgaurd and flea and tick preventative are way below the charges I am getting from the vet. I just got Nexguard for my corgi and was charged over $300 for 12 months supply and am only being reimbursed about $60 for example.

Pets Best has always taken care of us when needed. Roux, our catahoula lepard dog was diagnosed with cancer last year. They payed out immediatly after her surgery. She was able to live another 14 months when they only gave us 1-3. I was very surprised when she passed away that they didn't cover the euthanasia (the medical part of it) they payed a small part of her cremation instead.

Coverage for price seems good before rates are raised (even without any claims). Claim payments take way too long; not at all as fast as reviews make it seem. I have to wonder if the reviews were fudged.

While I think the insurance is great for emergencies and basic things, there are so many restrictions on what qualifies as a pre-existing condition (i.e. ear infections).

My puppy fell ill and we had some vet bills. My friend, who had suggested PetsBest, had told me they are quick and efficient. They were anything but. I have had to call in multiple times. The problem is they kept sending emails indicating they need "more" information, but being that I had 4 claims, when they would email me and ask for "more", they never told me which claim they were referring to or what "more" they were requesting. So I had to keep calling in to find out what they were talking about. I had four claims, and weirdly they kept requesting for a fifth number, which even on their web site, there was no record for. It now appears that finally everything is straightened out, and hopefully moving forward. It just seemed like it was way more confusing, complicated and time consuming than it needed to be.

I am not even sure my claim was fully processed, difficult at times understanding their finial summary. From a 6 thounsdand dollar claim and only receive a little over 7 hundred is tough. I feel I need to resubmit my claim, or talk with a person about these results.

I have another dog with Fetch insurance which would have processed this claim and the payment to me within aa week. Why did this take so long?

Very slow processing time for claims requiring auditor reviews. Had to wait almost 4 weeks to get the claim answer. No one to talk to about the claim who could provide real time answers to my inquiry. Did get it right eventually.
