There is no good pet insurance on the market - but this one is adequate for dental coverage. And major illness. If want good coverage for well visits and immunization- look elsewhere. The cost is just a little bit less than what they pay you back for things , they need to increase the reimbursement desperately for vaccines. They have in no way kept up with the increase in vaccine costs or reimbursement for tick, flea, heart worm meds

Price went up and coverage went down..... I have ins with wellness for two dogs ..... now I'm trying to way if I saved premium every year would that balance out if one of my dogs got sick .... it used to balance out I'm not sure it does anymore 🤷🏼‍♀️ May open a dog bank account and put the premiums in there for vet care

Finally paid but it did take about 30 days. I actually still don’t have the money because of processing times. The only real issue I have with that is lack of communication. When you check on the status of your claim it just says processing. Even when you try to talk to customer service the chat feature never works and they give you a phone number to call. While on hold you have no clue if it will be 30 seconds or 30 minutes wait time.

Process times for claims take too long. I don’t believe they cover everything they say they said they would when you sign up. I will probably cancel after my dog turns 2. I do like the app and the ease of submitting a claim

Great customer service! Claim process time can be VERY slow. A lot of items are not covered, or you hit the maximum allowance for wellness claims very fast. Overall it’s definitely worth it for big injuries, but sub par for everyday appointments and wellness claims

Small claims are processed quickly but large claims take a LOT of time- at least 6 weeks to process.

Takes a long time for payment !!! And very high prices almost 2500.00 for a max of 5000.00 I need my head examined what was I thinking? I should of dropped it at that point.

For the most part Pets Best will pay for your qualified claims, but when they think they can find a loophole in paying for something they will absolutely not cover it. When they make a mistake in processing it is a pain in the ass to get them to correct it and pay you out even when the incident is covered under your plan. It seems that they do not take great notes after a conversation because you are constantly repeating yourself with each new representative you speak to. Plus there rates are ridiculously high even when you have your deductible set high and their rates do change yearly without much notices. This may be a california thing but I pay a lot every month for just accident and illness... Lastly my dog past away I called to have her coverage removed from my account and the cancellation request sat in canellations for over a month. in the meantime they kept charging me for her coverage.

They take way too long to review and process wellness claims, which should be done within 1 week of receipt. Wellness claims are cut and dry and could actually be automated.

I’m not entirely certain just yet about the coverage. It was good during the first few months, but reliability is decreasing. When I called to discuss a claim, I was unable to get an answer. I’m paying a lot per month to include a wellness plan, and hoping most of this will be covered going forward. Time will tell….

Although necessary the Plan doesn’t cover much of anything. Either the Plan’s Usual and Customary Charges date back to the 1950’s or Vets everywhere are overcharging. At a minimum an Annual Physical should be fully covered; Dental Cleanings, if not annually every other year, should be either fully covered or covered at a higher rate. Perhaps providing a list of Vets that honor the Usual and Customary Prices outlined in the Plan. Would be very much appreciated by most members.

Things are pretty intuitive when it comes to submitting claims, but the wait-time for receiving reimbursement is too long.

I was very happy with the outcome of my claim but it took longer than expected to be processed. I received 3 "sorry for the delay emails" and then I called to ask what additional info was needed. I was told the processing was taking up to 42 days. Coincidentally (???) we received notification of payment the very next day.
