Very good pet insurance. Has come in handy for my pup on multiple occasions. Deductible is reasonable and the coverage is good. The only thing is the raise in premium cost every year, but not sure if that’s just standard with pet insurance in general. None the less very pleased with this insurance

They make the claims process as frustrating as humanly possible. They kept delaying my claims for vague reasons and they show you almost no information regarding your claims on the website, so if you have multiple claims, it is very difficult to keep track of them. Phone support is abysmal. I would rather pay out of pocket for vet expenses than even attempt to submit another claim through Pets Best insurance. I cancelled my policy after my first experience filing a claim.

Sometimes they're fast at reimbursements other times they're slow but they are always accurate and I appreciate that. This time it was fast.

After using Pets Best for several years for three different animals, I have always experienced quick turn-around times with reimbusements until March 2025. My last few claims took a month to be reimbursed. Not sure why such a delay, even received emails acknowledging the delay. I understand more detailed claims taking longer when more medical information is required, but this was not my situation. Simple kennel cough with a puppy.

Coverage is fine. No complaints on the customer service staff I’ve talked to. Overall it is a routine pet policy. My issue is that claims that are eligible are still taking about a month to process. I had to complain to get an eligible claim reimbursed. Any policy changes despite claim status for the policy term require cancel rewrites which means you are locked in to you plan if you have covered conditions. It is hard to speak with a person. Their claims department offers no option to pre-auth or review claim line items prior to large procedures so coverage is a guessing game. Another issue is the company thrives due to reaaaally low premiums at inception. Beware of the increase. It is standard in insurance to see increases over time due to pet’s age, breed, and location but these increases are beyond standard. I went from 60$ for two dogs and now I pay close to 160$ now. Again, for insurance this is fine but just know each year you will see a higher than average increase. Product works. I just wish there was more flexibility in terms of under writing request and claim handling.

I'm verry happy with Pets Best, they have covered the portions of our vet bills that they are responsible for. However, my only complaint is to be reimbursed it has been taking a minimium of 3 weeks.

Have had Pets Best Pet Health Insurance for 14 years of my cat's almost 16 year life. I adopted him from a shelter at age 18 months. He is a treasured family member. Pets Best has consistently paid claims, worked with me to develop the best plan options as he now ages into his golden years, and offers information in plain language I appreciate and read often as it helps me understand his needs.

Prices keep getting higher as my dog gets older, but this seems comparable to other providers. Pets best has been very fast and responsive with any claims ; no second guessing or excessive paperwork required.

Pets Best was wonderful for us. I adopted a senior dog a few years ago and many other companies wouldn’t even insure him due to his age. He did have some pre existing conditions which of course weren’t covered, but for all the new things that came up, Pets Best was there for us and never hassled me about covering anything. Reimbursement was a little slow at times (a few weeks), but I had peace of mind knowing that it would always come and the amount was always what I expected. When they eventually saw my claim for his euthanasia, they acknowledged I had lost him and canceled my coverage so I wouldn’t have to go through the process of doing that. They also sent me a pro rated refund for the cost of coverage after he had passed. Claims are easy to make and I highly recommend them as a company. I would definitely insure with them again.

Why is the 09/20/25 claim not paid? The claims dated 10/01/25 and 10/02/25 are resolved. Customer service always says wait another 10 days. Your claims area also won't accept any calls. Why? I work for MGIC. Clients can contact the claims adjusters for clarification. Why isn't there a claim rebuttal option? MGIC offers the option when a claim is resolved. The 09/20/25 claim needs to be paid by 10/10/25.
