“Long processing times.”

“It doesn’t cover pre-existing dog problems. I think some of the reimbursements could be a little bit better are you’re not using the insurance all the time so the insurance company shouldn’t be going broke.”

“Almost there, but definitely one of the best insurance’s out there. I wish the wellness plan covered the cost at least close to the actual costs in my area which is very high. Doesn’t even pay like 50% of the costs of procedures.”

“So far customer service has been outstanding. Our cat salt had an eye issue that required surgery. I reached out to Pets Best and had the surgery preauthorized and was told we would be reimbursed shortly after the surgery happened and the detail and price of the surgery were sent in. I followed the instructions, uploaded all documents to the app and waited. After about 2 weeks without hearing anything I called in, the woman I spoke with was very kind, I explained the situation and she looked into it and had everything resolved however it would have been nice if I was notified of the miscommunication in your back office.”

“Rates are very affordable and coverage is broad. They even cover behavioral issues (such as anxiety disorder), which has been a lifesaver for our rescue dog. However, claims can take up to 45 days to pay out, and any denial must be fought via a black-box appeal process.”

“Like the company but this was my first claim and it took over a month to process. As a matter of fact t I was told average claim time is 39 days but they are backed up and it’s up To 45 days. 39 is ridiculous other companies it’s a week to two at most.”

“Just purchased along with supplemental coverage and I've had 2 claims processed and reimbursed. It took quite a few weeks for reimbursement but I believe it was because it was the first initial claim. Decent coverage amounts but the annual limit on the supplemental coverage gets maxed out quickly especially with a new puppy. Overall I am very pleased with Pets Best.”
