“I am very pleased with the insurance itself and the coverage I selected for my cat Ella. However, I am very displeased with the fact it took approximately 54 days to process my claim. I hope the delay was short staff related to COVID. I have another cat (Riley 14 yr old NFC). I submitted a claim for him at the same time I submitted the claim for Ella. Riley is insured by Nationwide Insurance. The $$$ for that claim was in my bank account in 10 days. I plan to stick with PetsBest and hope their response time improves.”

“Would've given 5 stars but it took over 6 weeks for my claim to be processed/reimbursed ... not sure if this is due to Covid-19.”

“We've had three policies with Pets Best. We are happy with the product. The only complaint we have is that getting claims processed is taking longer. What once took two weeks is now taking four to five weeks. I would recommend this company for people looking for pet insurance.”

“Pest Pets is great for those times when your pet needs insurance for unexpected illness or accidents. My kitty was vaccinated, but still contracted Feline Leukemia.”

“While I believe their premiums to be super high, if you want a reasonable deductible, otherwise the service -- both online and on the phone with a human -- is very clear and run well. It is especially helpful to be able to reach a human, easily, when there is a problem.”

“One of the better pet health insurance out there. However, the reimbursement period takes WAY to long. We have submitted a few claims and it always takes at least 2 months (sometimes 3) to process the claim.”

“Thank goodness I hardly need you. . . but it's good to know you are there for us if Phoebe is not well. I was paying an excessive amount for the insurance this year which did not seem realistic. Hopefully after speaking with your staff the issue was reconciled.”

“I never had pets but ended up with two dogs this year. I'd heard enough horror stories from family/friends about spending thousands for emergency care so I insured them shortly after welcoming them into our home. I ended up spending over $5k for a weekend stay in the ER when one of them almost died. I got nearly $4k back after they processed my claim. This one illness made paying premiums for both of them for the rest of their lives worth it.”

“Claims for wellness, healthy animals are somewhat slow and doesn’t cover as much as I thought would be. The policy for injury and illnesses is Superb tho. Make sure your animal doesn’t have any of the diseases that are not covered. Claims are processed in a timely manner and paid directly to your bank (give them the info). We had a dog once who was very sick and passed. We paid thousands to try and save her. Makes a world of difference and relieve, that we got Insurance this time with 2 puppies. Very happy and highly recommend getting the best policy here that you can afford.”

“Besides experiencing quite a long wait to have our claims reviewed and payment returned they have been very supportive and helpful anytime I have had to call customer service and have never had any issues following through on a claim. Overall, great pet insurance for both our fur babies.”

“I really appreciate that Pets Best makes it easy to customize coverage and is very clear about what is and is not included in each plan. One star off because it does take a long time to process claims on occasion and because their app is often malfunctioning or nonresponsive. Overall I highly recommend them and have to many people I know!”
