Since arriving home at 10 1/2 weeks old, Pets Best has insured the health of our beloved Norwegian Elkhound, Bird. Any interaction I had was met with empathy and caring as one would expect toward a family member.

It is very easy to file a claim and it was processed in less than a week. I have always had good experiences with Pet’s Best.

Incredibly LONG waits for decisions and payments on claims. This is NOT the company I signed up with in 2021. The company was sold to Independent Pet Holding in March, 2024. Since then, it's been terrible. It used to be simple to reach someone by phone. Now it's next to impossible. I can't change companies because my pets are: (1) older; and (2) have mild preexisting conditions. Stuck with them for forever, it looks like.

Make sure you read the fine print. Annual Deductibles can be easily misunderstood. They might be one of the better for monthly fee---but, in terms of reimbursement, there are better insurance companies. AND, some of those companies reimburse much quicker. Make sure you do your research---I wish I did a better job.

I really do appreciate the insurance coverage, however it seems that intuitively certain expenses should be covered for a particular illness but for some reason they are not. The explanation seems vague but practicality would dictate some common sense.

They haven’t paid some claims that I expected to be covered but they have paid the bigger claims which makes it worth the cost.

I have used the insurance every month because my minature schnazer dog has pancreatic. The medication helps so she doesn't throw up. She is now 4 years old & I have had the insurance since she was a puppy.

Nothing ever cover. There is always an excuse for lack of coverage. But there always there for the premium.

The insurance isn’t horrible. But when my dog needed surgery and had complications they didn’t want to cover it. They found ever excuse in the book as to why it shouldn’t be covered. Pet insurance is a ridiculous amount each month. Added the wellness package and not everything is covered because of hitting a cap on the dollar amount. Every vets pricing is different so I don’t understand how it goes by the dollar amount. My wife & I have been considering canceling the insurance.
