“I’ve had pet insurance for a few years and PetsBest is good and quick at processing claims however, this is something I’ve mentioned before which I don’t even think is legal, but when claims are being processed, and the deductible is being satisfied, they take 10% more deductible than they should. For example, if your plan is a deductible of $500 and then they pay 90% after that, they will take a deduction of $550 before any payments are made to the policyholder. I feel like they have a flaw in their calculation system and don’t want to address it. Other than that, I’m satisfied with them.”

“They closed out my claim after non response from the vet but in every communication they would say no action was needed from me. After a long wait time to speak to someone on the phone they gave me wrong information regarding the time left before the claim closed. Just a mess overall and the chat feature claims they’re always too busy and a call is always needed instead.”

“Pets Best: Very easy to work with-get the vet bill, email it to PetsBest and BAM, refund in your account. I was shocked by the easy way it all worked so quickly! Pet insurance is a great way to protect pets,”

“I've been more than happy with PetsBest Insurance for my now 10 year old gold retriever, times it takes to process claims is reasonable. I didn't have any coverage issues so far, everything that should be covered by the policy is covered, no tricks. Premiums keep increasing, but show me a single company where they don't keeping the same level of coverage. One thing to know though: think about your dogs future and get Physical therapy right when you sign up. Unfortunately once removed, you can not longer add it back, this was my mistake and I regret it deeply.”

“The application process is very efficient and the coverage is unambiguous; very defined. Claims submission and processing is quick and well explained. I especially like how Pets Best is partnered with Care Credit. Very pleased.”

“We have had Pets Best insurance for our pup since we got him and have NEVER had an issue with any of our claims. Submitting claims is super easy, you can even do it from your phone, and you get reimburssed quickly. When anyone asks for pet insurance suggestions I alwasy recomend Pets Best! 10/10!”

“My three-starts is not a reflection on Pets Best specifically... but with the coverage plans generally. For busy people (who's not?!), it's challenging to read all the policy fine-print. The marketing material doesn't highlight all the limitations, deductibles (annual and per claim), and low caps for each category. I'm usually disheartened each time I submit a claim to find that little of it is covered. Their actuaries know what they're doing to ensure a profit! The main reason we maintain the policy is to protect against a major medical expense. If it weren't for that, we're discovering that the policy doesn't hold much other value. A major bright side to Pets Best specifically is that when I call, I usually get an agent right away who is very knowledgable about their policies, coverages and how to interpret specific situations.”

“As long as you submit all the necessary documents, will get paid fully, according to your plane. Great insurance. Have 2 dogs and events ough they had a lot of issues, this year which they never had before, we got all covered.”

“Since I last reviewed Pets Best, I have been significantly happier with its service. I feel that claims are processed without hassle and are extremely fair to the terms of service outlined. My one complaint is the inconsistency in timing. Since I last reviewed Pets Best, my claims have been processed much faster overall. However, some claims will randomly be delayed for several weeks. My issue with this is when it exceeds a 4-week time frame because then a reimbursement is not issued before a credit card payment is due. I also feel that when this happens, a notification of delay is not sent out promptly. Overall, I am a happy customer of Pets Best, but feel there are a few things that could be tightened up to offer better service.”

“It is good for illness and accident. I understand they dont cover probiotics and dewormer not on formulary. I was reimbursed at least 102 of 212 bill. I HOPE they renew my insurance in future”

“My young, healthy pup became very sick and dehydrated on a Sunday. The ER vet determined she'd need surgery to even survive the night. After major surgery, she was in critical condition and went into septic shock but rallied in the ICU with 24/7 care. She was in hospital for most of a week. Thanks to Pet's Best Insurance, my little companion is again happy and healthy. They paid the entire claim in a timely manner, except for the "medical waste disposal fee" which wasn't much anyway. I didn't have to call or appeal the claim. This could've been terrible for me and my pup who turned out to be a typical dog who swallowed something she should not have! There aren't words to express my relief that I could pay for the critical care she suddenly needed.”
