“I ordered on Monday afternoon of last week, Ronseal paint on fast delivery. I specifically asked if it would be delivered by Wednesday because I would not be around for a few days. I was assured it would be or I would not have ordered it then. It did not come on Wednesday and I finally got the paint redelivered on Monday of this week. So much for paying for fast delivery!”

Hi Pat, it does look like the order was unfortunately a day late in being shipped out which has caused the issue. You have been refunded for the express delivery charge and I am very sorry for any inconvenience this delay has caused you

“The service was very good ,good communication but the price with the delivery charge added on was too high ,considering there was other sellers a lot cheaper and free postage delivery ,to be honest I didnt realise there was a charge on delivery but it was too late ,I had already purchased the product.But apart from the price being too high it was a decent service.”

“The reason for normal rating was because I paid extra for the 1-2 days delivery and got the 3-5 days delivery service, tried calling only to be faced with answer machine and reply by email message! Can't be bothered to waste time chasing the £3 difference, you just have thought they would have reimbursed me automatically following the apology email, but they haven't!”

“Good value products, bought 3 tins of cuprinol decking stain. BUT I paid £10 for 1-2 day delivery, 5 days later still no delivery. When I rang them they apologiesed an said my order had been stuck in their warehouse system, but they'd get it out to me next day and refund my delivery cost. Then next day only 1 tin was delivered, I emailed them but then had to wait another 4 days for the other 2 to arrive.”

“All ok expect the delivery when to the wrong address and I have to go looking for it, lucky the person that signed for it was a name I recognised on the same business park, the wrong company name was one the parcels , guess someone did a postcode look up and picked the wrong company”

“Good prices on products but poor delivery. Paid extra for 2 day delivery. Items should have arrived on Friday 27th March but didn't arrive until Monday 30th, so a weekend wasted.”

“PTD are very good, the product is always and good price and despatched promptly. the delivery service was poor, the company used did not turn up on the advised delivery date and were 2 1/2 hours late for the second attempt, with no notification.”

“Reasonably-priced products delivered promptly. Shipping costs were high (compared to cost of goods supplied) - perhaps a cheaper but 'slower' shipping method would be a useful option for non-urgent purchases?”

A confirmation email is always sent when an order is shipped. perhaps it was mistakenly filtered into a spam folder by your email client?

“Item arrived very quickly and well packed but was unfortunately delivered to my neighbours house at about six in the evening when it was dark She called delivery man but he went before she explain his mistake This meant she had to phone me and I went immediately to collect”

“I paid extra for i/2 day delivery and the package was on time, service friendly and it added to my pleasure to talk to a real person about the delivery. I don't rate it special because the instructions (drawings on box only) for assembly were not adequate for me and the customer service at Tools Direct could not help me despite it being a straightforward assembly - if I could have had the answers to a couple of questions. So over a week later it is not assembled and I need not have paid to have it delivered quickly. I shall have to go to a shop to get advice so the advantage of buying online is somewhat lost. Best wishes Dr CS”
