Purchase from them 3HP SIP dust extractor. Unfortunately they send me 2HP SIP dust extractor, apparently wrong description on website. And nothing wrong with that have my refund. But it was 2 weeks ago and description remain the same.

The clarks 12 litre trolley hand spray which I ordered was just what I wanted , but unfortunately it was damaged on arrival. I have tried to contact power tools direct six days ago but haven't had any contact with them at all so have not been able to use it .

Items sent out were chipped and scratched (they were decorative bits). Response to my complaint: "this is how they are supplied from the supplier so we are unable to achieve any better quality." A typically British, miserabilist response. No respect for what they sell, no respect for customers.

Purchased A Clarke portable generator. Generator would not start and was found to have a damaged starter housing. Tried to contact Power Tools Direct via telephone and email and no response or answer from them. Terrible customer service to say the least.

Did not supply box of screws ordered "..due to a stocking error..." . Upon checking we found that they were still being advertised on their website but at an increased price. Scandalous!!!

The worst experience in my life. We bought Clarke CIG81015 Heavy Duty Instant Garage / Workshop – Green (4.5 x 3 x 2.4m). Due to my husband going through cancer treatment, we didn't open the box right away. Only 11 days later. Therefore, we did not report that some of the details were missing. The quality is not what we expected. I reported this to the customer service. And I was refused a return of the goods, since two weeks have passed. The answer is : as the item wasn't reported as having missing parts within the time frame it can not be returned for this reason. If you no longer require this, you can return it, however not with pieces missing. How can I return a complete product? My husband and I are severely depressed.

Purchased items and paid for next day delivery to ensure items arrived by the time work was booked in for (4 days away) items arrived 6 days later so work had to be rescheduled costing money. When I requested a refund for the delivery I’d paid for this was denied. Very poor service and customer care.

The free postage over £70 is a con. When paying, given the option to pay for quick delivery. Seems that all delivery is the same it only relates to how long they keep your item before posting it.

Shipment lost in transit after paying for express delivery. Still unresolved days later, requested a full refund only to be told that this will only happen when the shipment has been located. I would of thought insurance would be included in the delivery charge. Meanwhile I have nothing for my money.

I needed a wider forked ball joint separator and Power Tools Direct had a Clarke one that was perfect. Only they didn't actually have one. I ordered 3 other items while on their website and had I not queried why the shipping notification did not include the ball joint separator, I would have only found out when the shipment arrived. Given that the most urgent item for me was the ball joint separator, their failure to notify me that they did not have it, notwithstanding there was no indication it was not is stock on their website, cost me a week where I could have been sourcing it from elsewhere. I won't be ordering from Power Tools Direct again.

I made an order on 25th May which I paid for and received a receipt. Sad to say, despite a 3-5 delivery schedule, I’m still waiting for it to arrive. Despite 4 emails to the sales department, you can’t telephone them, I’ve had one response to say that they’re looking into it, on Monday last, no one has come back to me. Would I recommend Power Tools Direct? Certainly not on my experience. Customer Service simply doesn’t exist.
