Very disappointed with your company. I contacted about this dress, and you weren’t help what so ever. The dress is like a piece of rag, it is unwearable. It cost me £42 for a dress l cannot wear. It was meant to be for a cruise to celebrate our Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Thank you ROMAN ORIGINAL, FOR BEING NO HELP AT ALL, and causing me so much stress

I ordered a dress in November, which l got out to check ready for a cruise l am going on in February, to renew my wedding vows, on our DIAMOND WEDDING Anniversary. It was very crumpled up although it had been in my wardrobe. So l took the labels off to try and get the creases out, with no luck. Contacted them. They offered to take 20% off of price. I tried to explain l would not be able to wear it, as it looks awful and so creased.Basically it’s unwearable. They have now lost a longstanding customer. Customer service useless

Sent a few small orders back altogether in one parcel thinking that i would be charged £3 for using their return label as stated, but they charged me £15 for 5 different orders, there was only 1 or 2 items returned per order as I had kept a lot. Usually buy a lot from here, but never again.

I bought a dress in November for Christmas, wore it once, washed as per instruction & it's faded and streaky, completely unwearable, contacted Customer Service, sent photos & have been ignored since, unable to raise a returns slip with the ref no, have emailed again requesting a response on ticket #556490, I expected better from Roman .

Have had several dresses, trousers, jackets and jumpers from Romans and been pleased with my purchases. Recently ordered jumper pilled on first wear and gradually got worse. Have to use depill machine every time I want to wear it . Latest purchase was simply awful. Petite ditsy floral dress!! I am 5ft 2 inches size 10/12. The 'waist' was about 2 ins above my waist and the material such poor quality. As expected £3.00 was deducted from my refund which considering the dress bore no resemblance to that described was ridiculous. I have read poor reviews on Romans before but dismissed them as my experience had been good previously. Now I understand. Recent quality gone way downhill. Lost another customer!

I purchased a jersey dress in November and have worn it 4 times. It has pilled so badly that I have sent details and photographs to Roman explaining that I can no longer wear the dress as it looks so tatty after such a short period of time. Roman customer service have advised me (after receiving several photographs and lots of information which I have provided) that the dress is not faulty. The fault lies with me as in their words “the fault is wear and care and not a manufacturing fault” How can the poor quality fabric not be a manufacturing fault? How can the poor quality fabric be a consumer fault and I must bear the financial cost of this as the dress is no longer wearable in my opinion.

I ordered three dresses before Christmas. Returned two straight away (one of them was faulty with a pull in the knit dress which would develop into a hole after washing). Ordered a replacement which I love. Wore the second dress twice and it was covered in bobbles. Was offered a new one, and then a gift card, but I wanted a full refund as per my rights. Lovely customer service employee helped me with that. Had to return the dress for inspection though and wait for a decision. This involved several calls and waiting for a long time on the line. The first time, I was cut off after one hour after reaching second in the queue! Had to call again today as delivery charge, plus a rogue 20p, showed on my klarna account. Was told the inspection team deemed that my first return wasn’t faulty! Spoke to someone else who agreed to remove it. Then the first person I spoke to said they “would be watching my future orders”, as if i’m a liar and trying to get free returns! I’ve never been so offended. You can watch all you like - i won’t place an order with Roman ever again. If you treat your customers like that, I’ll stick to buying my clothes elsewhere! Think some of the customer service staff need some extra training.

I have been on phone for over half an hour was at position 7 from 17 ,then got cut off ,not good enough when I rang back I was then position 11 ,it's ridiculous, I received a black coat I purchased for a funeral, but it's come with most of the fasteners missing, obviously not checked before dispatch, I actually scratched the back of my hand whilst trying on ,!!i buy soo much from you and I'm really disappointed as I emailed and it said 14 days to process!!I it's not like I can go back to my local shop and exchange it as they only have size 18 ,/16 ,and upwards I'm really disappointed I've sent a photo but not heard back ,after care service is not very good at all ,very disappointed regular customer

I will NEVER shop this company again! Not only do you charge $20.00 to deliver, but you charge another $10 to return! That is absurd!! Plus my order only came with an invoice, no shipping label. All I could find on line was use the shipping label to return. I did not have a shipping label, trying to find out how to do that was challenging. I will not order again, ever!

Had a faulty item: no response to emails Had a return for exchange: two months later and still not had any comms from them, despite proof of delivery. This company are operating so far outside of the Consumer Rights Act it is a joke. Distance Selling Regulations are ignored. I would encourage all people posting reviews to raise a case with Trading Standards, as they operate on the basis of "more complaints = action".

Roman in horsham is lovely and the staff are brilliant and so friendly aspecialy mell she is a very good employee she makes you feel very welcome

The wrong address showed up on my order. They literally do not answer their phones. Have emailed with no response so parcel will be delivered 200 miles away. Then I have to try and get a refund. Really disappointed with this company

Ordered a 3 dresses online, took one of them back to the shop but would only give me a gift card. Ordered another dress used the gift card, didn't fit, sent it back. Partial refund and money back on gift card I've thrown away!

Still not purchasing from them. They have made no efforts to reduce plastic packaging, no efforts to sell sustainable clothing, (most of it is from China) and their staff are not impressed with them as a company either.

Disgraceful experience at the Barnet store today approached the sales lady with a return item, which kept her back turned to me and kept repeating, I'm not helping you without a reciept, I didn't want my money back just a credit note , she kept her back turned to me, and asked me to move away to the front of the till, still with her back turned dealing with some clothes , I said she was a rude nasty person and walked out, Last week I purchased a trousers whick was supposed to be size 16 but when trying it on it wouldn't go above my knees, The lady in question was of Eastern European origin and so so rude, I would never enter that store again, please remove my Email address from your list, I do not want any adverttising from you in future.

Placed 2 orders both orders were received incorrectly. Not the items I ordered so I returned the items only to find they charged me £3 per order! When contacting them they advised this was company policy! Absolute joke! Definitely won’t be ordering from Roman again!

Am awaiting response for request for exchange, have said they have no record of my email address, strange considering they email to confirm order, taken money ok but avoid either returning money or exchanging item, would definitely warn others be wary.

I am waiting for a delivery to France which I am unable to track .No help from customer service phone call after waiting in queue of 19. Unable to contact by email today and the queue is 21 for the phone . The order was £112 and I have already had to pay 31€for tax. I am very dis appointed in the lack of service and will be asking for a refund if parcel does not arrive soon. Although judging by other reviews this seems to be extremely difficult. I have not had a problem like this with other uk retailers.

Cannot return an item as according to there website I haven’t even ordered the item. Tried e-mail, no reply, tried phoning twice, both time got to number 2 in queue to be cut off, wasted two hours waiting.
