“Absolutely appalling customer service. After 5 emails requesting a new returns label as the original couldn’t be scanned by the post office I eventually called customer services . After a 48 minute wait I was eventually connected and was cut off within 10 seconds ! Coincidence ? I think not !!! I am now outside the return period and left with an unwanted item. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY”

“I would have returned everything but I'd cut the tags off so they're going to a charity shop.These clothes are the worst as far as design, quality, and fit, they look so cheap. I am a regular size 14 but Roman size 14 is enormous and just makes me look like a size 18. You've lost me as a customer.”

“I ordered 2 items on 7th April , they never arrived , when I contacted customer service they informed me that the package had been delivered, so I asked for proof of this , they told me to go round asking my neighbours. I informed them that I'd already done this , and it was not my job to run around tracking it down , it was down to them to locate it as I had paid for it ! After a few more emails they finally accepted that the package was lost but they ignored my request for a refund. They informed me a package has been re sent . I asked them how long that would take as it had already been weeks and I had wanted the items for my holiday , which had been and gone by then. I was told to " wait patiently " . It has now been 11 weeks of waiting ! I am sick of being patronised now . I have asked for my money back several times, but that has been ignored. Every time I email to ask what's going on and where my order is , I just get a single sentence either telling me the package is on it's way or to wait patiently . Do you know how insulting that is ? I think 11 weeks of waiting is way too long, never mind "patiently " ! You treat your customers like we are an annoyance to you . You don't even engage with me with any sense of apology or basic manners. Yes , I'm annoyed , of course I am , I paid for a service I didn't receive and your after sales team are rude and dismissive. I strongly recommend that anyone considering ordering from you , does not take the risk . I feel that I've been scammed , and I will be posting this review on as many sites as I can . Avoid Roman Originals !!!!!”

“As much as I like Roman originals clothing I'm absolutely livid that my order was not delivered the next again day as it said on the website when I placed my order needless to say I'm not happy Roman originals has wasted my valuable time I stayed home all day in my flat on the 22/6/2025 for absolutely nothing to be delivered . So in other words there next day delivery means you might get your order the next day and you might not get your order delivered the next day . Roman originals should not say next day delivery if they cannot fill full that promise.”

“Ordered two different tops returned both but asked for a smaller size in one of them. Had refund for one but neither a smaller size or refund for the other. Terrible company. Avoid at all costs. All they do is play ping pong with e mails”

“Ordered 3 items, alarm bells rang when received tracking from China Post. I followed this and it said package was in my town, which would not be sent to my small town straight from arrival into UK. After 5 days of supposedly being in sorting office in my town they said it had been delivered, when it hadn't. I contacted Roman and got automated response, then nothing and didn't reply to further emails. Avoid at all costs.”

“No returns label within parcel. Customer service 0. Impossible to contact. Ordered 2 jackets and wish to return 1. Have tried and tried for days to no avail. I will never be buying from them again. But they have taken the money out of my account for something I want to return.”

“I have been critical in the past about delayed responses. Today I spoke to Winona with a waiting time of only 3 mins. ( Sunday ) She immediately acted on my enquiry with a very positive attitude. Very happy. Now hoping my account is credited with as much expediency.”

“I ordered a garment from Roman for my Daughter in Law's Birthday present. She did not like either the fabric or design. I returned it to Roman in its original wrapping and Return Form, stating the reason for requesting a refund. I sent it back to Roman on 28/4/25. To my astonishment, it was returned to me 4 days later, 2/5/25, with NO explanation as to why. I have been an enthusiastic customer of Roman's for some years and am now appalled by the handling of this order and would like it sorted please. If not, I will unsubscribe. Kristin Wade”

“Have ordered some lovely items on this website. I find however that the quality varies and have returned some items due to the thinness of the fabric. Very happy with the ones I kept though.”

“Ordered 3 dresses. Only one arrived, although they asked for comment on one not sent. They did not answer the phone or respond to emails until after we had written to the company (the letter was ignored) and then to Birmingham trading Standards, a month later. I am still waiting for £90 returned to be returned to my account. Avoid their online shop at all costs. Use the local shops if you have one.”

“So disappointed Roman used to be a good company but I have spent and had £40 taken from my bank acc two weeks ago, I have only just had a tracking number after chasing it up , Now when I try to track my items I am told they are in transit from china !!! WHY when romans office is in Birmingham. No signs whatsoever of my goods looks like they are still in china . Will definitely not order from you again Roman”

“I have never really had a bad experience with Roman Originals until today my daughter warned me there was a scam. I fell for it and I am £42 less off, worried sick about my debit card being stolen. Why have Roman not apologised to good customers, like myself. It’s a disgrace.”

“I won’t use Roman again- both my last 2 purchases resulted in a long-running saga and having to get other parties involved on my behalf to get full refunds from this company. They are unwilling to respond in an appropriate manner to perfectly reasonable requests for refunds. Be aware they categorically refuse to pay return postage costs even if you’re returning a different size when 2 were ordered for fit, or when the item is clearly not as advertised. No more second chances for Roman. They are black listed.”

“ordered 2 items only one arrived although paperwork in package was for 2 items.No emails or communication to advise there was an issue just took gull payment! Called and was 29 in queue waited an hour call then dropped . Tried again next day 23 on queue got to 3 and call dropped again.Raised a ticket with customer service automatic acknowledgement. Emailed several times requesting a response over 2 weeks later still no response. Had to go through pay pal to get my money back. Won’t use again terrible customer service.”

“would give no stars if I could. Firstly, I ordered some trousers and chose to check out via PayPal. Their system did not work with PayPal correctly at it sent me back to checkout. So I tried again and got the same. I decided to just give up but then got emails for two orders plus emails and texts urging me to check out and even offering a discount if I check out what was in my basket. Realising something had gone with the system I asked them to cancel one of the orders. They didn’t. So I ended up with two identical orders. Also, although I had checked the sizing on the website and order the appropriate size the trousers were massive. When I contacted their customer service again asking why they didn’t cancel the order I asked them to, I got a rude response stating it was all my fault. I laid out to them the issues that had happened, including screen shots of their system not thinking I had checked out and they just continued to be rude to me. I would avoid this company at all costs, very nasty vibe in dealing with customers and not worth it for buying cheap summer trousers. I went to a better class of shop in the end.”
