Still no refund after 5 weeks. Emails ignored, phone calls not answered. How can a company get away with such bad behaviour. I WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN? DISGUSTING COMPANY

The 4/5 star reviews must be from their friends or relatives. 2 or 3 reviewers said refund for returns was fine. Are they happy to lose £3 when returning items for a refund? Ir to be lumbered with a gift card? I can’t understand how this company are still in business with their 1970s policies. Their customer service argue when there’s a complaint and their clothes sizing is all over the place which makes it even more difficult to purchase on line. Some of the merchandise is nice but a lot is way overpriced for inferior material. Buying in store is not an option as stock choice is small compared to online. Buy at your peril!!!

Since June ,I have sent 14 emails to Roman Originals with ongoing problems about not getting refunds for clothes I have returned with proof of postage .I don't usually get a reply and ,if I do ,my concerns are not dealt with correctly . I now have 10 proof of postage receipt from Royal Mail !!!.My bank statements do not show all these refunds . At a loss as what to do and suffering sleepless nights with worry .

I bought 2 pairs of cropped trousers online and as I had just moved house I didn't alter my address. I realised that I had done this immediately after placing the order and emailed Roman to ask them to send the items to my new address. I had no reply so I continued to email them. I was then told that they had been delivered to my previous address. They will not refund or replace the items which I think they shouĺd as they were informed well before despatch. They suggest that I collect the items from my previous address which is 100 miles away. They are so unhelpful and I am now out of pocket. Will never shop there again.

Love your clothes which I normally purchase on line. I went into the Solihull store yesterday 31st October 2019 and purchased (in cash) 3 items totalling £123.00. I didn't try on in store as I had an appointment to get to and was running out of time. I tried them on at home on the same evening. The two tops were too large and the jump suit was too short. I have re-ordered the tops online in a smaller size so will have to return the three items to store. I have found out from other reviews you do not refund but give a gift card. Why? This is my hard earned money not yours and you will have the goods to put back in the shop and sell to someone else. This was not explained to me when I paid for the goods - why not? Had it been I would not have purchased the goods. I certainly won't be buying from Roman Originals again and will not recommend to anyone for the above reasons. You are the only company I know who adopts this totally out of date and unfair return/refund policy.

I was just about to buy a dress and jacket from Roman originals but decided to check some reviews first SO glad I did as the company polices are shocking so needless to say I emptied my basket and bought elsewhere. Bernie Glasgow

Bought top on hoilday told 30 days return. 3 days later returned to my local Roman shop to be told credit note or exchange. Just wanted my cash back. Roman wake up we are not in dark ages now. Will not shop there ever and will tell everyone I know the policy Roman have. Credit note will be given away. ☹️

Had I known that I'd have to pay for returns, I would never have ordered from this company. The company recommends that the items be sent via recorded delivery so it's even more expensive. Also, if the goods are returned to their stores, they are not refunded. The goods are then put on a gift card. Never again.

Dreadful customer service. £70 out of pocket as Roman delivered to wrong address. Royal Mail have proof it went to Billericay and not my home. So many emails but no response. Will never order from them again.

I received the dress I ordered quickly although when I opened parcel it was badly damaged and had holes in fabric. I returned it immediately via Royal Mail in 1/10/22 and to date I haven’t received a refund. Won’t be ordering from this company again!

Ordered a dress - didn't suit returned it - waited weeks - emailed said had received return 12 days after posting. Waited - emailed again - nothing - emailed again - nothing. Now just short of 2 months and still no £53 refund. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I bought a dress size 14. Dress arrive size 12. Returned the dress immediately. I have tracked the return and it was received on 7/8/2022 by Roman originals. I filled out their online enquiry form after 2 weeks. It states they get back to you within 5 working days. Heard nothing. I re did the online enquiry form after 15 working days . Still heard nothing. Meanwhile I’m £32 out of pocket. It’s now 7 weeks since I returned the dress. This is far too long awaiting a return.

Returned clothing and received part refund. Send 2 e-mails over 2 weeks with no reply to get the rest of my refund. After several attempts to ring and getting cut off at number 3 in the queue after waiting around 20-30mins i eventually got through and was promised the rest of my refund. 2 weeks have gone by -no refund. Rang several times to yet again get cut off when down to number 2/3. I am currently number 11 again. Like previous customers have said they are keeping peoples money. I wont be buying again, but I will keep asking for Roman to return MY money

I order a lot from Roman and overall i am really happy with them. Reading all the reviews and having had to send back items for refunds i suggest using Klarna as the payment option. Choose "Pay in 30 days" which gives you the time to receive, try and send back if not suitable. Once you have sent the items back register the return on the Klarna app. Klarna will mark the payment as on hold and will not take the payment from you. I find that return refunds are taking around a week doing it this way. hope this helps

I sent back a dress requesting a different size as the one ordered didn’t fit me I returned on 23rd May which I have proof off , I have sent emails and tried to call them but nothing the dress was 48.00 it seems Roman are quick at taking your money but not so when returning So annoyed

Firstly, disappointing that you have to give even 1 star before writing a review but at least I have noted my disappointment. Goods returned to Birmingham on 22/5/22 as tracked by PO. Despite 2 emails, have heard nothing and had no refund. Smacks of liquidation to me so even more galling that every other advert on Facebook is Roman peddling their wares.

zero stars for online refunds -do not use this company if you want a refund. I have been waiting 9 weeks for a refund of £87, no reply regarding emails-FRAUDULANT DO NOT USE - KEEP YOUR MONEY SAFE

Goodness me 😢 I wish I checked your reviews before sending my items for exchange .I have the same trouble with this dreadful company or factory, whatever, thief.. From the 20th of May I am waiting for my exchange and for a reply to my emails .. I think I have to go personally to their factory in Birmingham or to their head office. Such a shame this company! I will never purchase anything from them again and I will complain everywhere and warn people about it.

You have confirmed receipt of my returns (27/4) but still no refund. You said up to 21 days which I find incredulous! I don’t think I have ever shopped online and waited this long. I’m A regular customer but can’t be ordering on this basis 🤷‍♀️
