Really disappointed with the customer service from Roman. My order was delivered to the wrong address, and despite contacting customer services via form, e mail and phone, to try to resolve the issue, I’ve received little or no response. Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how they’re dealt with, and unfortunately the lack of communication has been far more frustrating than the delivery error itself. I’m still waiting for someone to investigate what happened and provide either a replacement or a refund. I would appreciate Roman contacting me so this can be resolved as soon as possible. I’ll happily update this review if the issue is dealt with promptly.

I've emailed Roman original a few times I'm still awaiting a response . I ordered a dress the dress was supposed to be delivered on the 27/6/2026 I sat home all day waiting on My order being delivered but nothing arrived. I no longer want the order I want my money refunded asap I do not appreciate my valuable time being wasted like this. Shocking customer service no one has the decency to get in touch from Roman original.

I ordered a pair trousers that have not been delivered to me . I received email to say they were going to be sent back and a picture of a big tub with items in them . . I have contacted them 4 times but don't seem to be doing anything about this . I still want these trousers but nobody appears to do anything about this .

I ordered two items from Roman who stated a returns label would be included, if the items needed to be returned, which they do. The items were not sent by Roman, no return label included. I am unsure how to return the items and to whom. The advertised discount did not apply as the items were not produced by Roman. My contract is with Roman not a third party. I have emailed Customer Services - no response, other than an unhelpful automated replies. I have tried telephoning over the last four days, always seem to be 17th in the queue! Appalling, non existent customer service. No way will I use this company in the future.

I have orderd many things from Roman and never been disappointed. However, I ordered 2 pairs of shorts from them. After several days I received an email from parcel force to say my order had been delivered. It most certainly had not been delivered. I got in touch with parcel force they told me to take it up with the seller. What a farce that turned our to be. After several attempts to get in touch I finally got a response. They have refunded me for one pair of shorts. Now I'm going to have to try and get a refund for the second pair of shirts. Not happy at all.

Visited the store at Dalton Park Seaham spoke with staff prior to considering any purchases to make sure if I had a change of heart then I could return them (purchases) for a full CASH /CARD refund and was assured (with witnesses) that that would be no problem. Selected my goods and made the purchases but when I got home had a change of heart and returned the goods . Despite having witnesses to the agreement to a CASH refund I was informed the shop policy was a CREDIT NOTE no CASH and was told that any member of staff would not have promised CASH (oh yes they did!) and the policy was clearly marked on my RECEIPT. A receipt I would not have received had I not been promised a CASH refund from the staff before making a purchase . Email to their customer services fell on deaf ears even when I told them I had witnesses to the conversation I received a call stating No they wouldn`t promise that and basically do what you will ,NO CASH. Never returning to a shop which suggests its customers are lying and if your staff need to make false promises for a sale then they most certainly have a training and integrity issue .

I have been trying to get through to customer service all after noon continually cut off or just silent on the line all I wish to know I have sent a parcel back and requested a smaller size has this been dealt with .I need the jacket for an occasion ...

I bought a sequinned jumpsuit from Roman in October; wore it once in December to a party. Washed it on its own at 30° in a laundry bag and when I hung it up to dry I noticed big parts of sequins missing with stitching still intact. Obviously a manufacturing fault that I didn’t noticed previously due to the fault being on a back panel. I have had nothing but attitude off Danielle from Roman ‘customer services’ who was not only patronising but basically called me a liar saying that I must have snagged it on something. I’m pretty sure I would had noticed if something had snagged me on my back. She informed me today only after I chased up their inspection of the garment that it’s not a manufacturing fault despite me washing it to their EXACT instruction and that it’s being returned to me. Having bought a lot of things from Roman over the years they have lost a customer. Specifically due to the attitude of Danielle. She is also gatekeeping complaints and has not escalated my complaint when requested.

I won’t use this shop again. I bought a top online, it didn’t fit, but when I returned to store they would not return money only a gift card. Useless. You have to return by post - and pay for postage - if you want your money back. Big boo for Roman.

After wearing dress for less than 4 hours advised Please note as advised pilling is not a manufacturing fault and we advised to use a pilling shaver or lint roller to remove the pilling. Poor customer experience.

I went in the Roman shop in Fareham to return some trousers as they were faulty. After wearing them once the hem came down. I hoped they would exchange for another pair. I still had my receipt. I was told they couldn’t change them as I’d removed the labels. As I was happy with the fit and wanted to wear them I removed the labels. I don’t usually wear clothes with labels. Normally when this happens and items are faulty I’ve had an exchange or refund. In my local M& S. there’s no problem with this. I’m not happy with this as over the years I have spent a great deal of money in Roman. I’ve always been very happy with the clothes. I’m very disappointed as a loyal customer I expected more from you. Even when I phoned customer services they weren’t very helpful. Now I have a pair of trousers that I can’t wear. It’s a very poor customer service. A very disappointing result. Mrs M saunders.

I had received two dresses ordered from Roman, first one tried on and was unsure tried second one on and loved it. Undecided I tried the first one again as occasion to wear getting closer and decided not the right fit. Contacted customer services and told I was out of the 30 day returns by ONE DAY!!!!!. Not budging so now I have a dress that is no good. So dissapointed, good to think they are able to treat customers in this way. This is my second experience with the customer services department but rest assured it will be the last

On several occasions I have been in the process of ordering from Roman and available coupons have been tried and some applied, clearly showing the due amount has been reduced. Then after filling in my details the discount disappears and the amount due reverts to the original amount. When this happens I do not continue with the order and although I do like a lot of Roman clothing I really don't like practices like this and I will be reluctant to order in future

Very disappointing customer service. I have spent a considerable amount of money with Roman and for various reasons I have been away with work and unable to return my items I did not want within the 30 days in fact I requested to return them after 36 days. They are in perfect condition and Roman point blank refused to accept them even though I explained the circumstances. I will now never ever purchase items again from Roman. Be Aware Policy more important than customers also to make returns you need to take them to the Post Office which makes it even more difficult Date of experience: 22 July 2025

Poor Customer Service I have been a customer for many years, both in store and online. However, I was very disappointed with my latest order. The quality seems to have gone downhill. But it was the poor customer service that I am most unhappy about. I bought a summer dress to take on holiday. I liked the dress and was happy with the fit, so I removed the tags and cut the labels out as I find them uncomfortable when wearing. I then washed it before packing, only to find that the overstitched hem was coming off. I had thrown away the return label, so contacted Customer Services to ask for another. This was within one week of placing the order. I was told I could not return it because I had cut the label out. Under the Consumer Rights Act should be able to return an item that is faulty. Over the following weeks, I followed up with several more emails, but these were either not answered, or I was told I was outside the returns period of 30 days. My last email of 23rd June has still not been answered.

I didn't receive my parcel £458 of dresses to try on for a holiday. They uploaded a photo that was not on my property at all. I raised a dispute the post office came out and confirmed it was not anywhere on my property, I checked with neighbours. The post office said I would get a full refund from Roman and then Roman wrote saying the Post Office had confirmed it was delivered to my property. They lied and then refused to give me my money back don't order from this company ever!

Can't fathom out the postage. I paid for a dress with £1.99 postage but had to return it. I returned it via the returns label and lost another £5 when my card was credited.. I won't touch Roman again. I'm one of the lucky ones seeing some of these reviews.

I placed an order with Roman and never received it. Royal Mail marked it as “delivered” and provided a photo showing the parcel left in front of my door – completely unacceptable, especially since I live opposite a tube station. I emailed Roman twice – once as a reply to their order confirmation and once via their website – and received no response for five days. I finally called them, only to be met with rudeness and complete lack of professionalism. They insisted the parcel was “successfully delivered” and needed to investigate, but couldn’t give me any timeline for resolution. They even had the nerve to claim there was no station across from my house (it’s literally 50 metres away!). £88 wasted, but I’ve learned my lesson: I’ll never order from Roman again. If you value your money and your time, shop elsewhere.
