After wearing dress for less than 4 hours advised Please note as advised pilling is not a manufacturing fault and we advised to use a pilling shaver or lint roller to remove the pilling. Poor customer experience.

I went in the Roman shop in Fareham to return some trousers as they were faulty. After wearing them once the hem came down. I hoped they would exchange for another pair. I still had my receipt. I was told they couldn’t change them as I’d removed the labels. As I was happy with the fit and wanted to wear them I removed the labels. I don’t usually wear clothes with labels. Normally when this happens and items are faulty I’ve had an exchange or refund. In my local M& S. there’s no problem with this. I’m not happy with this as over the years I have spent a great deal of money in Roman. I’ve always been very happy with the clothes. I’m very disappointed as a loyal customer I expected more from you. Even when I phoned customer services they weren’t very helpful. Now I have a pair of trousers that I can’t wear. It’s a very poor customer service. A very disappointing result. Mrs M saunders.

I had received two dresses ordered from Roman, first one tried on and was unsure tried second one on and loved it. Undecided I tried the first one again as occasion to wear getting closer and decided not the right fit. Contacted customer services and told I was out of the 30 day returns by ONE DAY!!!!!. Not budging so now I have a dress that is no good. So dissapointed, good to think they are able to treat customers in this way. This is my second experience with the customer services department but rest assured it will be the last

On several occasions I have been in the process of ordering from Roman and available coupons have been tried and some applied, clearly showing the due amount has been reduced. Then after filling in my details the discount disappears and the amount due reverts to the original amount. When this happens I do not continue with the order and although I do like a lot of Roman clothing I really don't like practices like this and I will be reluctant to order in future

Very disappointing customer service. I have spent a considerable amount of money with Roman and for various reasons I have been away with work and unable to return my items I did not want within the 30 days in fact I requested to return them after 36 days. They are in perfect condition and Roman point blank refused to accept them even though I explained the circumstances. I will now never ever purchase items again from Roman. Be Aware Policy more important than customers also to make returns you need to take them to the Post Office which makes it even more difficult Date of experience: 22 July 2025

Poor Customer Service I have been a customer for many years, both in store and online. However, I was very disappointed with my latest order. The quality seems to have gone downhill. But it was the poor customer service that I am most unhappy about. I bought a summer dress to take on holiday. I liked the dress and was happy with the fit, so I removed the tags and cut the labels out as I find them uncomfortable when wearing. I then washed it before packing, only to find that the overstitched hem was coming off. I had thrown away the return label, so contacted Customer Services to ask for another. This was within one week of placing the order. I was told I could not return it because I had cut the label out. Under the Consumer Rights Act should be able to return an item that is faulty. Over the following weeks, I followed up with several more emails, but these were either not answered, or I was told I was outside the returns period of 30 days. My last email of 23rd June has still not been answered.

I didn't receive my parcel £458 of dresses to try on for a holiday. They uploaded a photo that was not on my property at all. I raised a dispute the post office came out and confirmed it was not anywhere on my property, I checked with neighbours. The post office said I would get a full refund from Roman and then Roman wrote saying the Post Office had confirmed it was delivered to my property. They lied and then refused to give me my money back don't order from this company ever!

Can't fathom out the postage. I paid for a dress with £1.99 postage but had to return it. I returned it via the returns label and lost another £5 when my card was credited.. I won't touch Roman again. I'm one of the lucky ones seeing some of these reviews.

I placed an order with Roman and never received it. Royal Mail marked it as “delivered” and provided a photo showing the parcel left in front of my door – completely unacceptable, especially since I live opposite a tube station. I emailed Roman twice – once as a reply to their order confirmation and once via their website – and received no response for five days. I finally called them, only to be met with rudeness and complete lack of professionalism. They insisted the parcel was “successfully delivered” and needed to investigate, but couldn’t give me any timeline for resolution. They even had the nerve to claim there was no station across from my house (it’s literally 50 metres away!). £88 wasted, but I’ve learned my lesson: I’ll never order from Roman again. If you value your money and your time, shop elsewhere.

Awful customer service they just ignore emails then when chasing up they said a rude reply saying they cannot help. 2 packages stuck for weeks no update, custom fees for items that need to be returned, offered free return then told I have to pay. Absolute shambles of a company and not offer anything apart from a discount code on next order which I will NOT be making!

I ordered 4 items from Roman more than a month,ago. I paid by my Visa card which was £100. I was emailed stating that one item was out of stock, so I only owed £72 pounds. Up until today I have heard nothing. Please contact me, by giving me an answer to my questions. I am very worried that I have lost my money. Muriel Dugan

Absolutely appalling customer service. After 5 emails requesting a new returns label as the original couldn’t be scanned by the post office I eventually called customer services . After a 48 minute wait I was eventually connected and was cut off within 10 seconds ! Coincidence ? I think not !!! I am now outside the return period and left with an unwanted item. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

I would have returned everything but I'd cut the tags off so they're going to a charity shop.These clothes are the worst as far as design, quality, and fit, they look so cheap. I am a regular size 14 but Roman size 14 is enormous and just makes me look like a size 18. You've lost me as a customer.

I ordered 2 items on 7th April , they never arrived , when I contacted customer service they informed me that the package had been delivered, so I asked for proof of this , they told me to go round asking my neighbours. I informed them that I'd already done this , and it was not my job to run around tracking it down , it was down to them to locate it as I had paid for it ! After a few more emails they finally accepted that the package was lost but they ignored my request for a refund. They informed me a package has been re sent . I asked them how long that would take as it had already been weeks and I had wanted the items for my holiday , which had been and gone by then. I was told to " wait patiently " . It has now been 11 weeks of waiting ! I am sick of being patronised now . I have asked for my money back several times, but that has been ignored. Every time I email to ask what's going on and where my order is , I just get a single sentence either telling me the package is on it's way or to wait patiently . Do you know how insulting that is ? I think 11 weeks of waiting is way too long, never mind "patiently " ! You treat your customers like we are an annoyance to you . You don't even engage with me with any sense of apology or basic manners. Yes , I'm annoyed , of course I am , I paid for a service I didn't receive and your after sales team are rude and dismissive. I strongly recommend that anyone considering ordering from you , does not take the risk . I feel that I've been scammed , and I will be posting this review on as many sites as I can . Avoid Roman Originals !!!!!

Ordered two different tops returned both but asked for a smaller size in one of them. Had refund for one but neither a smaller size or refund for the other. Terrible company. Avoid at all costs. All they do is play ping pong with e mails

Ordered 3 items, alarm bells rang when received tracking from China Post. I followed this and it said package was in my town, which would not be sent to my small town straight from arrival into UK. After 5 days of supposedly being in sorting office in my town they said it had been delivered, when it hadn't. I contacted Roman and got automated response, then nothing and didn't reply to further emails. Avoid at all costs.

No returns label within parcel. Customer service 0. Impossible to contact. Ordered 2 jackets and wish to return 1. Have tried and tried for days to no avail. I will never be buying from them again. But they have taken the money out of my account for something I want to return.
