“I returned a dress several weeks ago. They've a knowledged they've received my return. They said it was being processed. I've still not received a refund. Another few weeks later and two more messages to them. I've received no more communication or refund. I've shopped at roman for many years. I can no longer do this any more. It's so bad they're refusing to contact me even though they messaged me weeks ago to say they've received my return. I bought the dress in May and sent it straight back as it was too short. I have no clue why Roman have become bad with returned items.”

“I ordered 2 items on line one didn’t fit so tried to create a return on line portal but it wouldn’t accept the the order number so took it back to the Solihull store where I was told I needed paperwork which of course there was none in the bag I understand that you can’t get a refund in store which in this day and age is just not on and also paperwork not many companies need it today or use it I had my email with order confirmation so then had to phone Roman and sort out paper work which has to be now sent to me by post after using petrol to drive to the shop and parking fee I was prepared to exchange but couldn’t do that no paper work 😡on top of that the manager in the shop is so rude and abrupt iv been in the shop before and it’s always the same it’s as though she doesn’t what people n the shop as soon as you look at a item she more a less run behind you tiding what you have looked at very of putting felt like a naughty school kid touching something I shouldn’t”

“Bought 2 items from Roman and returned the more expensive one. Received a refund for the cheaper item which they said I had returned. They did not answer any e mails I sent. With such poor customer service I will not be ordering again.”

“Didn’t realise their Refund policy was GARBAGE ,, tried to return the trousers which I bought at full price £32 and when went to return I was given store credit which I won’t be able to use n order as I’m visiting and its Ridiculous NEVER EVER AM I SHOPPING WITH THESE THUGS AGAIN”

“This company refused to refund a returned item, their engagement with me was dismissive and I think calculated. I ended up paying for a dress I don't own because I had no choice. I will never purchase from Roman again and I urge others to be cautious and track returns carefully.”

“Dress was not as described at all it was huge and not the correct size it was about a 16 but labelled as a 12 . I Returned it the next day and I am still waiting for the refund . I know they received it as I have checked tracking on Royal Mail . How can I get my refund processed ?”

“Bought a top unfortunately it didn’t fit so returned it I paid£20 and only received £17 return no reason given for this, I won’t be shopping here again unless through next as they return the full amount paid ..”

“Ordered a dress last week which wasn't suitable ! Returned promptly and received a partial refund ! Turns out with delivery and postage to return that is a cost of £8.99 !!! That's shocking I will never order again and have been a loyal customer for years ! A loss of 8.99 is disgraceful !”

“In past month I have purchased 4 dresses and 2 tops. 5 separate parcels. The pricing is a con. You buy something then immediately get a discount code sent making it cheaper. Infuriating. I've fallen for this too many times now so will no longer purchase from Roman. Seems a very dishonest manipulation of customers.”

“Roman packaging is all plastic which is unacceptable. Two plastic bags where one would suffice and this has been the case for my occasional purchases over the years. Clearly no attempt to stop using plastic in order to be environmentally friendly, probably because it's quick, cheaper and possibly because the owner is focused on profit? Clothing mostly synthetic fibres too. Not good. Postage takes up to a week and returns cost £3! Be very careful”

“Won't buy again. Bought a pair of trousers which were not the right fit so went to the shop to return...no refunds! Ridiculous. Exchanged for a different pair of trousers which were awful so again took them back. They charge you full price for sale items if they are exchanges. The manager of Solihull store is awful and 'told me off' because they were creased! Won't buy from here again, either online or especially in store!”

“Before returning a dress that felt a bit loose, I ordered a smaller size to see if that fitted better, which it did. The smaller dress was £3 cheaper than the original, and they charged me for returning the larger one, so I ended up paying £6.75 more. I won't be buying from Roman again! With the smaller dress I ordered 2 other dresses in the same size, but ended up with a duplicate order, which I tried to cancel, so had 2 deliveries. Despite all being the same size, only one dress fitted.”

“Just ordered from Roman petite as it says on their website that returns can be taken to the local shop for immediate refund to find that this is only by gift card NOT WHAT ITS SAYS ON WEBSITE will not order from Roman again 21 working days for a refund is unacceptable”

“I explained on the refund return form that the colour and material were not as described and I therefore regarded the item as faulty. They discounted my refund by £3 despite this which is annoying. I have emailed them to ask them to reconsider. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞”

“Less than one star! Abysmal customer service from the start. I bought a dress, wore it three times and the pattern wore off under the arms. Emails were ignored for weeks on end despite reminders, then they say the time limit for return has passed and something about an expired “ticket” which has never been discussed. This I feel is a way of getting out of having to refund any money. Hiding under the whole Customer Services Department name rather than a named advisor. Some fantastic claims on their website about having an ethical sourcing policy and being Anti Slavery and Human Traficking. Shame they don’t care about their customers so vehemently! Selling items which are unfit for purpose and almost denying any chance of a refund is against the law I believe. I will be sending their details to Trading Standards.”

“Ordered a dress which when it arrived was of such dreadful quality fabric. I didn’t even bother to try it on, just packed it up and returned via Post Office . Very disgusted to be informed that £3 will be deducted from my refund to cover return postage!! First and last time that I will order from Roman. Let’s see if my refund turns up.. I submitted a 1 star review which hasn’t been published on the site and then discovered that my name has been attributed to a positive comment that I most definitely did not make! Avoid this company like the plague they do not appear to be very trustworthy”
