I needed a black stain for a bannister. It was hard to get help from anyone but I finally found someone. I described the bannister in detail and this employee gave me a can of ebony stain. I asked if it would stain black and he said: “yes it says ebony doesn’t it” and walked away. Well it didn’t stain black like I wanted but a dark brown. I tested this on one spindle. I phoned wanting to return the stain and was told I couldn’t because they can’t resell it. The person I spoke to on the phone was well aware that this stain would not be black. I don’t recommend this company nearly non existent service, rude employees and lack of care for customers.

Poor customer service. Ordered an appliance from Rona. Took almost 3 months to deliver. Delivery dates changed several times. Couldn’t get a hold of anyone. Always having to leave messages. Would not recommend anyone to buy from Rona. Certainly I would not purchase from Rona again. Very disappointed.

Not blaming Lindsay store but tons as the big picture 3 months ago I paid in full for countertops no one had in stock. Well I am still waiting while other Rona stores have them for sale in the stores but because they already have my money they are making me wait. While other stores are selling them No way to run a business kicking paid customers to the back of the line or rather I should say no way to get repeat business because guaranteed when this is Over I will never darken a Tomas front doors again same fir everyone I have told about the customer service

Rona sold me a brand new range with defective wiring that cannot be repaired. The warrantor issued a voucher which Rona has refused to honour - BEWARE!

Extremely disappointed. Worst service ever. Order online and never received any order update. After a week trying to chase them and being on the phone for an hour I was told that they will trace the parcel which can take 21 days and I have no other option but to wait. Purolator doesn't even have the package at their depot. My contractors are not going to wait a month for them to do their "investigation". They are totally unprepared for the digital world and their call center staff are very unprofessional.

We bought our appliances from Rona and had problems from the beginning. Very poor consumer service from Dave that is out right rude. The delivery company came to our house and rushed the installation and refused to listen to our concerns on installation day. Our stackable dryer and washer cannot be used right now because they shake too much (it will damage the machines) , the installation guy Abdullah Usman initially told us that our floors were not levelled and it was not his job to do so. Over a month later, we understood that he did not remove a protection foam from underneath our washer as per manufacture instructions and this was causing the shaking. We had to rescheduled a follow up appointment 6 times because the installation guy would simply not show up. I’m health care professional and had to miss work or reschedule my shifts 6 times during this process!!The same installation guy finally came to our house and said he will not do it because “it’s not his job”. We called back Rona, Dave explained that because it’s been over a month, it’s not Rona’s responsibility and that the installation was “free” so we should lower our expectations. We didn’t know about the foam initially, until we read on proper installation guidelines by LG! Very dissatisfied with service, Rona has just recently started selling appliances and their service is very disorganized and unreliable. I would definitely go elsewhere next time to buy and I discouraged friends and family from buying there. This whole process was too unnecessarily stressful.

Took phoning six stores before able to locate advertised item in flyer. Oh, would order it for me But not get it for the sale price as none in stock. Out of area for delivery and refused to deliver to a Rona store closer to me. Said each store is independently owned and don’t share. Found identical item at Home Hardware. Ordering it in for me at the flyer price and delivering to my house. Rona, you have lost another customer. Why have a flyer of on sale items when you don’t have any in stock.

Horrible customer service. Item arrived broken, tried to get help but response was a waste of time. Cancelled yet week later they charged my credit card. I will never shop at Rona again.

Awful customer service experience dealing with online orders. Sent the wrong item, saying nothing they can do until the stores open. Very intolerant and unappreciative - Rodney was the customer rep.

Ordered flooring online. Because it was an exclusive online only order, Rona has no control of it. It took a week of emailing and calling to find out that my order wouldn't be shipped until the following week. I cancelled the order because I'd had enough. It was the first time and the last time that I will order anything from Rona.

Location in Rexdale, on Do not order online from these people... lazy, unreliable taking full advantage of pandemic lockdowns in Ontario order for 30.00 worth of supplies at 520pm... can not fulfill it by 800pm same day. 2 1/2 hours for some all round and wood screws. absolute f$%#ing disgrace. There system even said the same dam date. Delays my ass. heard the excuse 70 orders so... open the store until 9 lazy s@$t heads. Now I will go to Home Depot. Shop and support Canadian business what a load of f#$king S#%t.

Winkler, Manitoba. A cashier (obese short hair typical “karen”) has some real attitude, never friendly has never taken my returns (took same items to different cashiers who returned them). Felt disrespected and won’t shop here again. I had a personal relationship with this store as I worked for this rona and also build house thru them and now get this disrespect in return. I’m done shopping there. Would NOT recommend!

Deplorable customer service. I ordered three items online and on confirmation, went to the store at Golden mile (Warden and Comstock) at 5:35pm on the 20th of January to pick it up. After a 10 minute wait, I recieved a bad and invoice with two items. I immediately called the store, spoke to a lady who told me she will check and call back and to wait at the parking lot spot #1. So far - excellent! The lady did call back and told me that I had cancelled the third item. After a short back and forth, she realized the system or a customer service person had cancelled the third item since it was not in stock. Rona had refunded the money already. I requested if they had any alternate item and the lady said she would get someone from the electrical department and to hold on to the call. Now everything goes downhill. After a few minutes, another lady picked up the phone and said "Yes, what do you want". I told her - and after a dozen questions she understood and chided "why didn't you tell me you were waiting for a person". So rude. So unprofessional. She made me feel it was my fault that I had purchased something from Rona. She put me back on hold and after a few minutes, picked up the phone again. On hearing my "hello?", she cut the call. I have had similar incidents with the same person before. She is rude, interruptive and just does not listen. I know her name. Honestly, why should I buy anything from this store?

Picked up a snowblower/leaf blower combo. People at store said it didn't come with a leaf blower. Still needed the snowblower so bought it anyway. When I went back to what I thought was an easy price match I was told it didn't qualify but that I should have got a leaf blower, which they ordered. 2 weeks later I called to check on the leaf blower and was told that it was in and it would be ready for pickup when I got there. Drive 20 miles only to be told that it was a snowblower they had not a leaf blower. 3 trips and still no satisfaction. I remember now why I stopped shopping at Rona.

I ordered 2 items online. I was subsequently informed that "one or more of my items was available for pickup. I only had 2 items, 48" LED replacement tubes and a can of spray paint. When I arrived I called in with my order # and the store agent said, "Your LEDs are on back order and should be available in 3-7 days." I said, I NEEDED those LEDs for my shop - the paint was just an add-on. I was then informed that I should check my e-mails for a notice stating that there is a back order. Well...I REVISITED my e-mails including my Spam folder and guess what....I'm still waiting for the LED backorder notice. Further-to-this, I live exactly 22 minutes away - one way! This is totally unacceptable and it was also handled unprofessionally by the store agent. In future, Rona will be my last resort for my reno/building/decorating/hardware needs.

Brutal. Never order appliances at Rona. Pay up front. Ordered in August for a Sept 9 delivery. They don't let you know it isn't coming ... you send email after email to get a responses. Our fridge doesn't work and we needed it before Thanksgiving. Two weeks later they say November. Comes and goes, again no communication it isn't coming until you send angry emails. Now they say Dec 29th... followed up with an email saying there is a good chance it could be late. Received the matching stove in October. When you order online and this happens they direct you to your local Rona who has nothing to do with it and can't really help you. Of course everyone blames Covid! Well, Covid was here when I ordered in August so why tell me coming in Sept? Worst customer service of any major purchase I have ever made ... and I've made a lot. Rona says ... 'well that's not us it's Appliance Central' and nothing to do with Rona. Ok, well I ordered through Rona, paid Rona, and got a receipt from Rona. They take zero responsibility for it. They have not once initiated a call to let me know the status. They blame the manufacturer for constantly giving them dates they can't honour. Well if you don't mind pissing off people just keep dealing with the same companies. I emailed them and told them to pick up the stove and cancel the whole order and I would get a different brand. No response. To top it off they constantly have the same manufacture featured in their ads, when they can't even get what you purchase! Always preferred Rona to the others ... they don't care... so never again! Others you pay when product ships ...
