“If you like waiting in all day for a tracked parcel that doesn't arrive then the next day spending over an hour to speak to customer services to find out they haven't got a clue what has happened to your parcel then royal mail is the company for.”
“There was a problem with the delivery of my parcel. Customer services said they could easily sort it and deliver it correctly. It was delivered but to a random address.
Second call told me that the first agent was not being honest as he had no ability to help me. They said they should have been returned to sender. This was followed by, ‘Is there anything else we can help you with today’.
When I asked to escalate the complaint I was stonewalled.

“If I could give Royal Mail 0 stars I would. In my opinion it needs a complete overhaul with new management from the top down. I send orders daily for my online business and the service is so unreliable it’s not even funny. 1st Class is completely hit and miss- sometimes arrives next day, sometimes after a week. Roughly 1 in every 10 parcels go missing completely. It’s a disgrace that UK people have such a poor service for sending letters and small parcels. It can’t all be blamed on the COVID pandemic, either, as it was no better before then. They are not afraid to keep raising their prices, though- totally overpriced without the quality to match.”
“Paid for signed tracking first class. Tracked it a few days later. Says still at post office. But the cheque that was in the letter that I sent had been cleared at the bank. So obviously it had arrived but with no update”
“I only seem to get mail once a week, strange when I know two places that posted letters first class. This is now over a week and one of the letters contain something that is required for Monday and I am only 10 minutes from where it was posted from. If I don't get this letter today, I have to phone the company back.
I have sent emails to Royal Mail, one I have received, says a need to wait ten days and then contact the firms. Also told it was a problem in my area, which is a joke, the sorting office is again about 10 minutes from my house. Really poor service and first class mail a joke. Would give no stars if I could.”

Got notified next day delivery but dud not arrived.
Item actually arrived 4 days later and ice packs were defrosted.
Had to resend.
Riyal Mail not helpful and couldn't comment in tracking information.”
“I am always waiting for letters and deliveries much longer than I used too. Which is not ideal when you are waiting in important documents or have paid extra for a 1st class delivery . I get mail twice a week and it’s usually like it’s been collected for a couple of days before they finally get around to posting it. It’s awful and the service has got worse since it got floated.”
“Why is it so difficult to actually find a Royal Mail post office to send a parcel? They don't deserve to use the name Royal. A once good service is nothing but an expensive farce now.”

Times when the tracking number has worked you get a message your parcel will be delivered between 08.00 hrs and 20.00 hrs, sort yourselves out before customers ditch Royal mail since being privatised profits more important than customers”

“Parcel said it had arrived and been signed for. No way on website to chase it. Contacted Marks and Spencer they tried to make contact 3 times with no joy. They said they will send a replacement. Absolutely rubbish service. I was in all day on my drive doing my daughters wedding flowers so I know it wasn't delivered. No way to vent my anger. Really don't even want to give them one star. Just as bad as Hermes!!!!”
“Royal mail use to be a great service but now they're way overpriced and can't seem make deliveries. Tracking is pointless as it just says "we'll try deliver it today" but many times now this hasn't happened. Paid for a next day service for important flowers that were never delivered. Literally myhermes stepped up their game and royal mail took their place as the worst courier service.”

“Normally I would not complain about my postie he’s brillant . But he’s on holiday and it seems they can’t deliver correctly when he’s not working . Calling to complain I have been given a speech that made no sense but further more confirmed there incompetence the email advising delivery said no signature required they arrive 2 hrs early not ring bell or knock stating it’s tracked . Then want you to wait two days to redeliver what are we paying for ?”
“Royal mail is the only parcel company were you cannot leave delivery instructions and they will not ring the person if they get no answer. Royal mail is an obsolete company that has not kept up to date with the rest of world. Will not order any product if it is delivered by Royal mail.”

By Monday the tracking info stated they had only just received it, and it would be delivered between 10am and 3pm.
No-show.
Just not good enough.
Add to that over an hour I spent on Friday going around in circles trying to navigate the ridiculous website trying contact somebody regarding my delivery( After stumbling upon a phone number buried deep inside some sub-menu), then being kept on hold for 25 mins before I gave up.
Royal Mail need a good shake-up.”
