“Letter are fine, parcels are consistently problematic. Received an email asking me to pay customs charges for a parcel, which I did, the email confirmed the parcel would be delivered on Saturday, it's now Tuesday and I don't have anything. Not even a sorry we missed you card, just nothing. I've tried tracking it and it says it's not eligible for tracking. I am completely at their mercy as there seems to be no way of contacting them. The phone lines are only open between 7am or 9am or something ridiculous, and when I rung it, I was told there was over a 60 minute wait to speak to someone and then I got cut off after 11 minutes anyway. I will go down to the depot later this week, which is also only open between 7am and 9am, and if I cant get it there, then I'll have to chalk it up as lost. All that money down the drain. Its nothing short of theft. Not my first experience like this either. As other have said, not sure how the other couriers can manage it and Royal Mail seem to mess it up so epically.”

“Rubbish, my item arrived from China to Heathrow in 4 days, yet it took royal mail another 6 days to deliver it 150 miles from Heathrow to Lincolnshire,
2nd class post in UK keeps going up every year, at least, yet it now takes nearly a week to deliver a letter.
If i send parcels now, i always use Hermes, cheaper, quicker and happier staff...”
“I understand these are hard times but how can it possibly take 3 weeks to deliver a package which is meant to be next day delivery?
I work in a shop and if it took us 3 weeks to process the delivery then half the stuff would be out of date.
Everyone else is finding a way to do their job properly but these useless c**ts can't.
I've also had experiences in the past of my parcels being damaged and the goods inside lost, but it's not even worth trying to get the Royal Fail to help fix the issue since their customer service is even more incompetent than their sorting offices.”
“Royal mail is the worst service! Was waiting at home for my parcel....no one nock on the door or call me or even put the card for the post. And left it I dont even know where. I have been looking for it whole day even in my neighbours. When they answer the phone they said they dont know what to do. Now no one answer the phone now my parcel is gone for over £100. “Having an on going problem and a terrible experience with Royal Mail. I received post with missing items it arrived in a plastic bag explaining how I can claim compensation, I ws also advised this is due to the Royal Mail machines i understand this. I tried to submit an online claim but because I don't have a tracking number due to the sender sending via a post box I cannot complete this online form. After several emails telling me I have to submit an online claim and several emails back from me explaining over and over that I cannot as I have no tracking number but providing photos of the said damaged item. They have basically said the sender or myself has to suffer the loss for Royal Mail damaging my post and losing some of my delivery. I'm furious, how is this fair! This is ongoing but beware that if you don't send all your letters/ post through the actual post office in order to obtain a tracking receipt number and Royal Mail damage or lose your property they will not be compensating you and those of you that are not online/ computer savvy enough to complete the online form (which is not simple) you also have to accept Royal Mail damaging your property as they have no other work around for anything outside of the "box".”
“Royal Mail is an absolute disgrace I’ve never received a parcel from them in my whole life apart from a stupid card through the post. The postman Wrights them out before even knocking on the door expecting nobody to answer and within 10sec his gone. I will Celebrate the day I manage to receive one.”
“Incredibly poor service. I paid for a letter to he sent to Spain which included tracking and signature on receipt. I have not been able to track my letter since posting. I have contacted royal. mail only to be told nothing can be done until July 1st when a claim can be made if it doesn’t show up!!!

“Cant deliver parcels on time took 3 weeks for a nbd delivery. Called up. Badly designed phone system that takes 20 minutes to get through. 3 times I called up before getting my parcel. On other occasions you cant call the sorting office and the poorly designed app is so hit and miss that it's taken multiple attempts over 3 days to book a redelivery.”
