Had an item from China, cost £30, I had to pay £3.20 to custom, I had no idea when it arrived in the UK, I got no card telling me I had to pay I only found out by contacting RM by chance. So I tried to pay for it online twice it said "ooop's that didn't work " so had to wait 25 minutes on the phone and pay £11.20 an extra £8.00 for their fabulous handing charge and service an utter rip off for a monopoly, you cannot pay it to customs your self. So they can treat people with complete contempt, people need sacking! Dave Leigh I

Tracking services are terrible . It's 2019 , nearly all delivery companies give you an estimated time of delivery. You just have to hope your in when royal mail deliver because it could be anytime !

parcel sent from uk to dublin, has still not arrived 9 days later even though i posted it 1st class signed for, rang them and was just fobbed off with protocol saying i have to wait a month to make a claim, the royal mail is no longer fit for purpose and people are much safer using another RELIABLE firm who will actually deliver your items and deliver them in good time AVOID....

Royal Mail should be closed down when there are other companies who charge even less for the next day delivery and you will definitely get it next day, if you send a package thru royal mail you must forget about the package because it is lost and no one seems to know where it is. Two times happened to wait for a delivery from Royal Mail both times the package is gone when called they quickly play dumb even redirect me in Scotland to mock me, and when call again transfer me again to someone else I made complaints but its like no use they keep doing it, you package is gone for good they keep it probably then read to you their policy, people should take them to court, I do not recommend royal mail.

The worst mail service I have ever known. Not only do they deliver on time. They cannot tell you where your parcel exactly is. My parcel should have been delivered on Monday the 5th of August and today it is 8th of August today and all I get from Customer Service that it is on Transit and they have been saying this since the 5th of august. Very dissatisfied customer

Sent an anniversary package using Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm, they’ve sent it to somewhere completely incorrect, said they don’t know where it is and laughed at me on the phone when I said compensation will not solve this disgraceful behaviour. Then they eventually found my package 5 days later, send it to the correct address, took my postage label off of it and made my partner pay for it in order to pick it up from them! He showed them proof I’ve already paid for it and hey said they can’t give it to him unless he pays! Disgraceful, joke of a company and I hope you go bust and everyone will slowly realise they should not use you for anything ever again. I will not from now on. Will book a courier even for the tiniest letter.

Do not use Royal mail service, if they damage the item, they cannot offer compensation, reason "the item had not been packaged in accordance witch RM packaging guidelines"

Sat fresh flowers and melting chocolate in their dispatch office for 16 hours, failed to make same day delivery. Said it was due to having to use a relief driver. The individual reported our drive as being inaccessible but, on being asked again, could not now be sure. Suggested I seek compensation from the flower company! Disgraceful, insulting service to all, never again

3rd parcel not delivered for a week in the space of 5 months, 1st parcel was 1st class which should take 3 days maximum but took over a week. Typical rubbish excuses from royal mail when complaining. They are no longer to be trusted to deliver the majority of the UK's parcels and letters.

Useless . What's the point of track and trace if it's down all the time. Not even worth 1 star .

Sent a parcel on the 48 hour delivery, they sent it to the wrong sorting office then told me it's 2 to 3 day delivery. 48 hours is not 3 days. Now they are saying that it could take up to another 7 days to be delivered. How can they get away with this kind of service it's shocking.

Useless! Use DPD or ups much better and much more reliable.

There was no sound of the doorbell ringing. I was standing in my hallway by the front door when suddenly an "Unable to deliver" card was thrust rapidly through my letterbox, and as it appeared I got hold of it and withdrew it from the letterbox. How ridiculous - the postman and I must have been standing facing each other either side of my frontdoor. I got my key and opened the door, but nobody was in sight, Postmen are obviously pretty good sprinters! I have to wait two days for redelivery. How does Royal Mail make any profit if they have to redeliver? This also happened to my daughter, who lives in another town, but she managed to catch the postman, who mumbled "I don't know what I was thinking."

Post office sold me a “track and sign” for an urgent delivery of keys to Spain. Told me 3-4 days maximum. I’m now into my 15th day and still no delivery. Royal Mail tracker a waste of time as Royal Mail can’t tell me where the parcel is. BEWARE as the 3-4 days is only an aim not the delivery time as the post office told me. In disputes with both companies as they are blaming each other. Can’t even claim for lost package for 20 working days which takes me into August. Disgraceful unhelpful company. I’m sure the selling of the product is a trading standard issue as post office did quote me 3-4 days maximum. I’m fighting this all the way.

I had a bad experience of being followed by a Royal Mail vehicle, being driven in a dangerous manner, but cannot find any way to contact them about the issue. Vehicle, MX59 HFO, M1 junction 16, heading north., approx., 1745 hours 24/07/19

Appallingly arrogant organisation.h Paid £9.60 for Royal Mail Special Delivery by 13.00 next day. Small package containing an expensive hearing aid (£1695 each) for repair. Paid for additional cover, (although RM included compensation that more than covered the replacement cost). Well they lost it. And now they're putting many obstacles in my way avoid paying up. I have: RM's own tracking information which shows the progress of the package step by step (and timed) until it vanished at the delivery depot in Golders Green. RM are actively seeking to avoid paying up by requesting proof of posting (which I have supplied) and proof of cost (which I have also supplied). Still sitting on their hands 30 days later and unrepentant at this appalling example of the very worst customer service I have ever encountered. Unnapologetic and arrogant.

Re my previous review complaining that my mail had been redirected from England to Kuala Lumpur instead of to my new address in Spain.... last week I received a letter from RM stating the problem has now been rectified. But,low and behold, today I have received two letters addressed to me but intended for the gentleman now living in Kuala Lumpur.... one of which is his bank statement. I have re packaged them and posted them on to him. Come on Royal Mail... have you sorted the problem out or am I still missing mail? Signed, Maureen Tinsley
