I have paid twice £4.55 for a large envelope to be delivered with 1st class delivery signed for and twice the item was not delivered. The online tracking service states 'accepted at post office branch and you will be contacted when delivery is attempted. No delivery has been completed and there is not trace of where the mail is in their depot and obviously no signature collected. Trying to claim a refund online is impossible. Anyone knows a better provider?

I’m expecting a parcel which is 1st class signed for. It was tracked to their post off ice in Stockton on the 21st, it’s now the 29th and still no delivery or update. This though is not my major gripe. Upon trying to sort this, I called the PO. After 15 mins on hold, I lost the will to live. Several more lengthy attempts later, I had no choice but to leave the problem in the lap of the Royal Mail gods. Absolutely awful service.

Absolutely without a doubt, the ***WORST*** postal service in the area (Coalville). We tend to buy a lot of online stuff and we work full time. I have filled out a card with this branch so that when we are not at home our mail is delivered to our neighbour (who was all to happy to accept mail on our behalf) - this same card was delivered back to our address without anything more being said (or written on it) ... the items that were supposed to be delivered from then on to our neighbour (when we wernt in), never were. This has caused major inconvenience having to wait up to 4 days just to have it redelivered in the hope we are in! I've tried leaving named and signed notes on our door for the postman to leave it in a safe place or with a neighbour (which other companies do such as yodel and Hermes)- again to NO avail. Whats the point of offering this service if you cant commit to it?!? absolute nightmare. 4 days may not seem like much to most, but it is when the things im having delivered are for my start up business, and I cant progress with my work until I have my products delivered. And the only reason I'm writing this up is because this has happened on more than 5 occasions so far within the last two months and the royal mail complaints system is floored.

Words fail me... God knows what my blood pressure rose to. Trying to deal with Royal Mail is a totally frustrating waste of hours. I wasted 2 - 3 hours trying to pay a Customs Charge, going round and round their web site and every attempt ends with "There has been a problem". This is not the first time it's been impossible to pay a charge on their site. Four emails, now six, from Paypal tell me I've authorised payments - so have i paid, once, twice, or not at all? - who knows. I certainly don't. Tried phoning - two different numbers. Both kept me hanging on over half an hour, repeatedly suggesting one uses their Web-page where one has already just wasted 2 hours. A useless frustrating service - one of the worst! If i could avoid them i certainly would. Tomorrow I'll have to try some other way. My blood pressure can't take much more of them.

Awful service. Over priced, unreliable and not trustworthy. Had birthday cards containing money vanish from the system even with tracking numbers. The postman turns up as/when he wants often swerving my street for days at a time if its raining. Caught them a few times putting a "sorry we missed you" cards through the door without even knocking first, when I open the door they have left the parcel in the van at the end of the street and not even attempted to deliver it (also been seen doing this on my CCTV).

without doubt the most incompetent organisation I have ever dealt with in regards to resolving non delivery situations-I have lost umpteen parcels to another address ( with a completely different postcode I may add)--they have been tracked to this other address and they still won't do a thing about it-even parcels or letters that do eventually make it through have been delivered to the wrong number-whoever is in charge of this needs to think about a change of career as in a normal company he would be disposed of within a week--having said all that there is one thing that they are first class in delivering and that is B******T.

Absolutely terrible delivery service and on top of that atrocious customer service. Staff rude on the phone and not willing to take any responsibility for their mistakes.

Very peculiar that I almost never miss a parcel from Amazon. But the Royal Mail never fails to fail to deliver! Absolutely useless.

Personally I'd use another delivery service, having had reason to complain to them on another occasion I paid for RM48 "service" and the tracking was useless. This time it was someone else who had mailed an item to me using RM48. I looked up the tracking service which stated item will arrive between x am and y am. So I sat in all morning with my hall door wide open because I did not want to miss the delivery man (they have a habit of knock quietly and run) and no sign of him. Went out shortly after midday and item arrived at 25 past 12. Came back to the dreaded red card. When I called to complain was told that the four hour delivery slot was an estimate. Well why be so precise about the timing within that 4 hr estimated delivery slot? Why not say will arrive sometime on x day? Don't bother giving out a delivery slot then failing within it. If I had known it was sometime on x day I would not have stayed in waiting for the stupid parcel. I would have elected to collect next day from their depot - as I will have to now. Instead I was given a morning delivery slot so I stupidly waited in for it. Never again. Their delivery slots mean nothing but MAYBE and PROBABLY NOT,

Royal mail works in a really old inefficient way. It need an upgrade to meet the current digital era. I purchased a new phone from China that came whilst I was away on holiday. The only thing they do is wait and send it back. Here is what I find unacceptable. Firstly you have to let people know the post has arrived. I recommend you use emails in the new digital era. Secondly during August, when a lot of people are on holiday, you could have kept the post for slightly longer than your usual 18 days. Thirdly, if you send the post back (again, not sure why...), I am entitled to know the tracking code. Royal Mail has caused me great distress and has been on a regularly bases unable to give me an answer. I requested to redeliver the product back and they said this was not possible. No one could explain to me why. I paid for something (a lot of money, even though this is not the point), and they just send it back as if nothing. Without letting me know, without my approval. Without emailing me saying "if you don't come to retrieve it we will send it back". Poor, very poor service. No wonder you are losing shares' value.

They have mis-sorted my international parcel twice! It was posted on 28th Aug 2019 and was to go to France it has now been to Madrid and currently sat in America their explanation is the scanners at not very good at Langley and they don’t speak to delivery partners even though it is their error! I have made over 30 calls to international support and 10 emails and they are sorry but they cannot provide and update if I could score -100 stars I would they are rude and unhelpful as though it is not their problem I am know doing down the postal redress route but to add insult two weeks before a parcel for Rep of Ireland went Iceland !!!

Every time anything gets delivered by royal mail they either return it to the sender, or they say it's being delivered and then it doesn't turn up. Then when you go a collect it with the dreaded bit of red card they blame it on the parcel being (misplaced) and not being sent out on the van. If I could sign something to be completely removed from royal mail's delivery service I would. Give me yodel any day of the week. Royal mail are the WORST company that I sadly still have to deal with on a regular basis. They are so behind the times as a company, their infrastructure sucks. You can't even send a letter or parcel from a depot. So after you have spent an hour in a queue to pick up a parcel that can't possibly be left with a neighbour like every other delivery service, you then have to go to a co-op to send a parcel that will then go back to the depot that you have just come from. The sooner they are gone the better.

Royal Mail and Amazon deliveries are on different planets. RM will not tell you when a package will arrive until the day of delivery, their tracking service keeps the same information on display for days at a time and the whole process is frustrating. There is nothing 'Royal' about it...!

Royal Mail Abysmal Customer Service! A postal order for £80 payable to Dvla Swansea mysteriously ^disappeared" from a sealed envelope after being posted. As I,unfortunately misplaced my receipt, I am now over £100 out of pocket through no fault of my own. Royal Mail's response to losing my postal order is to compensate me with six first class stamps! Absolutely pathetic!

Royal Mail destroyed my packaged due to it being incorrectly identified as "dangerous goods". No return-to-sender, no refunds, no nothing. And trying to reach customer services over the phone: think again. I will never ever use their services again. 0/10.

1st class parcels consistently late nearly 5 times in the same year now, not 1 to 2 days late but 4 days to a week, no excuses or apologies given, non existent customer service, they don't give a sh*t, they are a law onto themselves. VERY VERY poor service, they are a disgrace. do yourself a favour and use a courier instead.
