“My post contents were stolen, valued at €300 in August. I sent a plastic sealed envelope "International Tracked & Signed For" from UK to France and the postage cost me £8. The plastic sealed envelope eventually reached its French destination after 6 days, sporting a fist sized hole and all the content had been removed. The thief had the audacity to put the empty package back in the postal system after stealing the contents!
So somewhere either in the UK or France there is a dirty thieving scumbag operating within the postal system, helping themselves to other people's property. The empty package eventually arrived at its destination wrapped in a La Poste plastic wallet! I have raised the theft with Royal Mail UK, who have only reimbursed my postage cost, despite the Post Office serving staff member's statement at the time of my post office counter transaction that the compensation level was up to £250 for this service. I pray for an investigation and that the thief will be caught and punished for their crimes as I'm sure this was not a one-off lapse of morals. THIS SITUATION SHOULD NOT OCCUR WITH A TRACKED AND SIGNED FOR POSTAL SERVICE WHICH SADLY PROVES IT IS CLEARLY NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.”

“Tracking of my parcel showed the same status for 10 days. My parcel is still at the post office in London and it supposed to be in Hungary by now. The lady told me it will arrive in 3-5 working days. The service is rubbish and very disappointing.”
“I would give Royal Mail a zero review if there was one. Parcel missing on the way to Edinburgh and a small book of stamps sent in compensation. No news about where or how it went missing! Shocking! They advertise that they are reliable how could anyone use this service ever again? I could constantly be sending parcels that just disappear into oblivion with no explanation other than that I have to submit a receipt for a claim. I have never even thought about keeping receipts which could be months old just to send a parcel. “The standards of the postmen who put letters through the door are in decline. They don't care about service. Our postman (one of several: they keep changing) just left a package on the doorstep that could easily have fitted through the letterbox. At least he bothered to ring the bell. Sometimes they don't even bother to do that so you find a package on your doorstep.”

“So I ordered a fall monitor for my father (he had a stroke) and the company sent it first class next day on Monday with Royal Mail and now its Wednesday and still nothing. Paid on line using PayPal on their website and then went to pick from depot. Sorry - we can’t give you them since our system won’t update till tomorrow!!! Please read the email from Royal Mail saying paid. Nope ....Royal Mail need a card saying paid. Wake up Royal Mail, it is the 21st Century. “Posted sons birth certificate as urgently required. Paid extra to have signed on delivery. After 7 days no sign not at local sorting office, I purchased replacement. Royal Mail cars put through door on the day the replacement arrived insufficient stamp! Son unable to collect as working abroad. Eventually returned 2 months later. Compensation a book of 6 1st class stamps. Terrible service from a third rate company.”
“The Royal Mail parcel service is rubbish. No wonder the couriers are doing so well. Perhaps the Executives at RM should look at why and how the courier service works so well. They are better and cheaper!
As far as a fragile label on a parcel is concerned, this translates to throw it around as much as possible!”

“I've made an order through an UK online retailer and paid an extra $20 AUD for tracking service as the parcel will be travelling all the way down to Australia. The tracking was never update on RM's website. Very disappointed and stressful as the parcel contained my wedding invitations.
I think online retailers should specify which company they will be using for delivery. If I see that RM is the delivery company, I would probably shop elsewhere.”
“Ordered item on 48hr service. Had emails and texts from RM over 2 days saying it's out for delivery between 12.07 and 15.07. that day. Waited in all day.. Nothing arrived.. Even the next day it's still saying due for delivery the previous day?? Rang C. Service and even they said it should've been delivered. So where is it? Now looking at 6 days since dispatch and that's if it even arrives..48hr service?? Joke.”
“Waiting for a delivery with 2 cars on drive from Royal Mail only to find the idiot delivery driver didn't bother to ring bell or knock the door but just put a card through the letter box so I now have to go to the depot to pick it up myself.

“We are a U.S. company that manufactures and fulfills orders from London. Royal Mail lost (or stole) over 10 percent of our orders for three months. Customers were angry at us and blamed us for bad service. Royal Mail changed out sorting facility and started tracking everything, and the lost orders did improve but we still have an inordinate number of orders going missing. I think I'm ready to pay more to post with UPS.”
