Still waiting to be seen in your Portsmouth branch. It's been over forty minutes now - what poor service. Fortunately I've invested some of the time in reading your steam of poor reviews. I don't think my glasses will be purchased here any time soon. What a shambolic company - I"ve never seen such continuously poor feedback!!

Specsavers’s Chippenham! Where do I start. I’ve been using the one at Cirencester for 4 years no problem very helpful & polite fantastic. I don’t pay for a contract lens test I’m on pension credit plus mum was registered blind. Switched to Chippenham store had glasses/& contact lens2 yrs ago no problem however today went for 2 yearly check up after having my eye test demanded I pay ? I’m nearly 70 I won’t be visiting Specsavers again waiting for my daughter to come home from work

Have asked for glasses to be posted two weeks ago they have not arrived spoken to branch at Talbot Heath poole over the last two weeks where I have been told they have been posted , oh no they are still here. Oh no they have been posted!! Well after another 1 hour phone to branch and a chat line for complaints I have no idea or faith in where my £260 glasses are.

Gosh I wish I’d read the reviews before going to Sheffield City and Crystal Peaks Specsavers. Utterly poor service from start to finish. Complete wrong prescription for VDU glasses, biofocals not fitted at all the first time. Too busy and rushed, staff disinterested and it goes on. Rude staff in Crystal Peaks branch, arrived 5 mins early, went in for a contact lens trail, was directed to incorrect waiting area, then after 20 mins to be told I’d missed my appointment. I can’t believe in this day and age they have got it so wrong. Sorry to say I won’t be going back.

Have been to your SURBITON shop on many occasions this year and cannot get my glasses to fit and vision poor. Terrible staff, not interested in the customer apart from paying. Rushed through choosing frames, they received back one wrong from Lab. so had to have this changed. Adjustment was poor told my brain would need to adjust to the new lenses. No interest in what they are doing for ever looking at manuals. Had received both pairs of glasses after 2 months of waiting but they do not fit, never measured for correct size, why not! When asked why the assistant said all frames are the same size? Staff not trained or just useless at what they are doing. Asked for refund and told why did I need this as my glasses were fine. Specsavers DO NOT save you money there offers are a rip off, quality of product poor, staff abysmal. DO NOT GO THERE.

Prescription was completely wrong - the specs provided were worse than my old glasses. I was told that specs would be ready on a particular day - they weren't. Manager said they have bent over backwards to help but I'm not convinced they did. He spoke to another Specsaver employee - there seemed to be no sincerity in what they were doing. Very much we've got your money and you ca't do anything about it! I SPENT OVER £400 AND I'M TOTALLY DISSATISFIED. Try getting your money back - impossible! GO TO BOOTS!

Terrible customer service. Glasses recommended there are not fitting well at all and need continuous adjustment. Stuff are rude, particulary I enconutered terrible staff today in Bath. She was standing at the endtrance just chatting with colleague ingoring me waiting, after all, refused to provide service without appointment. Shop wasn't busy compared with the usual standard which I usually need to wait here and there between whatever the procedures..., she was absolutely rude and unprofessional. Bye the way, immediately after I called at Boots optician where I had kind and prompt service on my glasses even it has purchased in Specksavers. Now I am determined to change to all the glasses and contact lens purchase and contract to Boots optician! They have professional attitude and not rude like the one in Specksavers! No wonder Specksavers are rated low generally.

Specsavers week street Maidstone tested my eyes and I never received my glasses however I was concerned about the test being wrong as only long and short vision was on the percription my glasses was made by another company and they retested my eyes that's when I found out that part of the eye test was left off and had to get a new percription and new glasses no complaint procedure was ever followed by Specsavers maidstone

I booked an appointment. Turned up and was told that there were no optometrists. Considering they had my email and phone number, it seemed pretty bad that they didn’t bother to let me know. I live miles away from town. I complained online and nobody even got back to me. Really shocking customer care. I will not be using them again

Specsavers online......an absolute nightmare! In home was great, very professional and paid my money. A week or two later I got a call to arrange delivery which shouldn't be an issue as I am virtually housebound. I explained that on Wednesdays I am at physiotherapy so any other day would be fine. Of course Wednesday is the only day they were in my area (which is surprising as their office is only 3 or 4 miles away). They said they would mark my glasses as urgent and call me with a delivery date. After a week without hearing from them I called and was told that they could deliver on Wednesday again. At this point I could sense a bit of a theme and reluctantly agreed to await their phone call again. After another week of silence, I called them again and surprise surprise they could only deliver on Wednesday. At this point I had enough and advised that if they could not deliver that week that I would cancel and have them refund my money and buy elsewhere. They decided that they would not deliver that week and that they would rather refund me. I even suggested posting them but they were not prepared to do that. It must be a very profitable business to have the luxury to turn business away rather than provide the service you advertise. The inconvenience was worth it though as I have purchased glasses elsewhere and saved 45.00 on the Specsavers price!

Wish I’d read reviews before I went there. First time I collected my varifocals I could not read as they were so blurred. Second time they were better but still not crystal clear. I’ve had a refund but very annoyed that I have to start over again. Should NOT have gone to Specsavers. Second rate opticians

Avoid them at all cost, inferior product rusts out shortly after warranty expiry, zero empathy from management

Never again do I want an experience like I have just had with specsavers first appointment kept waiting 20 minutes, when finally seen it seemed very unprofessional ,when finished the boy that did my test rang a bell to get a nother person in to rush me out to pay, on the way asked to pick a frame ,rushed to make a decision to pick very bad service. It did not stop there, they forgot to let me know my glasses were in stock I had to go to the store and ask, the story goes on but I will stop here.

I have been seeing Specsavers for eye tests since 2015 and also been on their contact lens subscription from 2016, as well as making multiple glasses purchases over the years. As I only wear contacts at the weekend or on occasions, I opted for one box of lenses to be delivered every 3 months. I moved address in April 2021 and had two separate appointments booked in store around the same for an eye test and a contact lense check up so I asked them to update my address details on the system. I believed it was done because the address was changed on my prescription card. Due to covid over the past couple years, I have been wearing contacts less and less so I only realised I hadn't received a lens delivery for some time when I had ran out of my current supply - this was January 2022. Therefore 3 of my deliveries were missing between April and January. I contacted customer service who told me that unfortunately my address details were not updated on the system and could possibly be due to an issue with transferring data when they updated their software/system around April 2021. This was escalated to my local store where someone called me back and offered a refund for one box of lenses, despite the fact that I was out of pocket for 3 boxes. I asked if their deliveries came with tracking numbers which they don't so there was no way of knowing whether or not my lenses were delivered to my previous address or not. I admit it is an error on my part for not noticing that my lenses weren't delivered earlier however Specsavers should have taken responsibility for not updating my address details properly on their side. As they refused to refund the other two boxes or send replacements, I have decided to cancel my subscription with Specsavers and will no longer be using their services in the future. It is a shame as I haven't had any other issues in the past 6 years but it's clear that they don't care for customer loyalty.
