WORST PROVIDER EVER

Purchased super fibre in sept 2017 guaranteeing 55MB with 61-80MB upload speed. I made untold complaints during the 18 month contract. They sent a basic router first, super router second both not capable of handling the package that I was paying for or faulty. A talk talk engineer VISITED 3 times noticing slow sync speeds then by open reach came 3 times with the 2nd visit installing a master socket which talk talk engineer should have done on my go live date in sept 2017!!! Monitored speeds via the wire my highest I’ve ever seen is 38MB. They breach there own terms and conditions. Don’t complain over the phone customer service is useless. Complain to the CEOs office via letter and his complaints team take over your case. Currently in the resolution stage for compensation.

One star is too much of a rating, AWFUL company. Talk talk have taken 6 weeks to set up our internet and continuously told us ‘Your internet is now up and running’ we ring up to explain it doesn’t work, they tell us it’s a fault in the line and to wait until *date* (2 weeks later) after this happening multiple times they suggest sending an engineer out to which if the ‘fault’ is our own is a £65 charge. Asked many times each phone call why we were told our internet was working when it wasn’t and their excuse was ‘There’s a fault in the line’ or ‘We are trying to resolve the problem’ STAY WELL AWAY - AWFUL COMPANY AND AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

Talktalk are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I got broadband from them 6 months ago and it was way under the 70-80mb quoted and I was paying for. So if you have talktalk check your speed!!!! I've been promised call backs and never got them. I have spent hours and hours on the phone and the awedul online chat servi e trying to get things resolved. They have finally fixed the issue and o ly offered me a £14 refund for all the months of poor service which I feel is more of a joke and a gesture of good will. I've spent more than that on calls to them alone. Keep Away they suck go with another provider!!!!!

I am a long time customer for TalkTalk. 2 months ago the regular internet service become unreliable. I switched to Fibre and it is no deference. Top of that they are giving the same deal to new customers cheaper. Clearly they are not rewarding loyal customers. Be careful, because your contract is starting when you are placing your order and the delivery time at least 2 weeks, so with a 20 days cooling period, you do not have time to test the system. I was on my holiday when they delivered the new service, so when I started to use it, I was already the end of my cooling period. Very bad customer service and broadband service.

I can honestly say I've never experienced such poor customer service. Why... An existing customer with contract tie in expired, I enquired how much total cost would be to stay on same package. Agreed a price on new 18 month contract, job done....... NO! Email shortly after confirming package, Broadband downgraded from fibre and TV removed, called them back to cancel new package as they'd got it wrong and to revert to old package. Easy, an error made (they happen) 1 telephone call to rectify ....... NO! I have now wasted over 4 hours of my time repeating the issue to a new representative (a Manager on most occasions) each time over a total of approx 8 telephone calls. Imagine how long it would of taken if it was a complicated issue. I moved to Talktalk from BT and to be fair other than the fast forward/rewind sticking on numerous occasions for the TV the overall package has been okay. But I've since read other reviews and can echo all the negative feedback of their customer service, polite, scripted ..... YES Solutions and resolutions ..... NO Needless to say I've now given up and would recommend avoiding Talktalk. There are loads of Broadband providers out there, choose a different one

The connection is shocking! I had the basic £17 per month package which worked fine. Then, all of a sudden it stops working completely to be told I need rewiring work to be done. That gets done and the connection I once had was like dial up from 20 years ago. I spoke to them about what had happened and was told that is what to expect in the basic package and that there were no issues with my connection. Obviously there were as I'm not blind deaf or stupid. I was told I needed to upgrade to a fibre optic package for a decent connection. Stupidly I accepted and I pay £30 more a month for a very slow service, exactly the same as it was with the £17 per month before I needed this 'rewiring'. Only to be slammed with a £50 fee for an engineer to come out which wasn't explained to me at any point at all. Absolutely disgraceful and a big big regret of mine! Avoid talktalk at all costs!! They are a bunch of con artists. The connection is ridiculously poor and the customer service is terrible.

Simply the WORST company I have ever had to deal with in my life. The customer is never right and it is impossible to speak to anyone in customer services who understands you. They make it a maze for people to come through to the right department and once there, prepare for an hour of being talked too and not being listened too. I am now being charged £102 cancellation fee for a broadband service that didn’t work. They entice you will cheap deals but STAY CLEAR!!

Tried to stop our contract just now due to poor connection. The customer service sounds like an dummy for 1, keep asking us to repeat what we said! And 2, she asked us to give 30 days notice to cease the contract says it’s their policy. Fine. But our contract ends on 21/06/2019. She could’ve told me that i can stop our contract on 21/06 but she didn’t. Instead, She put it through and ends it on 19/06/2019 and we will be charged for penalty for those 2 days for breaking the contract and also paying another month fee!!!! This is ridiculous and not to mention the broadband connection is very bad and the router they sent us before didn’t work. Will never use TalkTalk again!!!! What a scam!!!!

I COULD NOT WAIT UNTIL MY CONTRACT WAS UP. IV HAD NOTHING BUT BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAD ISSULE WITH THE SPEED BECAUSE OF A FAULT UNDERGROUND CABLE. NOT THERE FAULT BUT TO SOLVE THE ISSUL THEY TOLD ME TO UPGRADE THE SERICVE. SO I DID THEN THE ISSULE WAS WORSE. I WENT WITHOUT INTERNET FOR 7MONTHS AND THEY STILL WANTED ME TO PAY. SO I REQUED TO CANCEL THE SERCVICE AND WHEN MY CONTRACT ENDED THEY HAD NO RECORED OF THIS. I SAID I HAD EMAIL CONFIMING THIS AND THEY DID NOT WANT TO KNOW. SO I WAS LOCK IN AGAIN LONGER THAT I WANTED TO BE.

customer service is appalling. Was eventually able to leave without cancellation fee, because they could never fix the problem- even after 3 months.....well actually longer, but not the way they calculate it.

Please please don't make a contract with this company . The worst in everything . Worst connection, customer service and prices. I almost cried when i was talking to them on the phone regarding slow connection and price rise and unusual bills. I dont usually write reviews but i really feel obliged to warn other people that they may have a heart attack when speaking with them . I am back to sky after 18 months of a real pain.

home over and over again yet still ended up without internet for weeks. Wrote to head office to complain but no one got back to me. Left TalkTalk ...three times! Shouldn't have been so difficult as I was outwith my contract term. Each personnel failed to successful cancel my account. Last person I spoke to on chat continued to stall until 10pm then said the business is shut. I have been with 3 for two months now and thought i'd heard the last of talktalk but each time I enter into a chat I know i'll end up banging my head against a brick wall.

My internet went down last Friday night (5 days ago). The best option I could find was to contact TalkTalk’s messaging service, but this was only open until 10pm. So they replied in the morning around 8am. For the next 5 hours they went through a diagnostics process and everything about this service is bad. Here are some examples; 1) They cannot switch to live conversations. Everything has to be done via texts, which makes more complex diagnostic procedures almost impossible, 2) They cannot receive pictures. Surely this would really help? 3) The customer does not keep the same service operator throughout the process - you are switched around. This leads to complexity, long delays and frustrations. Anyway, after 5 hours it was determined that the router was at fault. I expected an urgent resolution from a company valued at £1.5 billion with nearly 2,500 employees and 4 million customers. Especially when my heating, my alarm security system, my television services and my general web service runs off the internet. Surely there would be same-day delivery with onsite help from a business this size? Sadly, no. The process does everything it can to avoid onsite assistance. And the router was ordered for normal delivery. As of now - 5 days later - it still hasn’t arrived and I still have no internet. TalkTalk is blaming the Bank Holiday. Unfortunately I have to travel abroad today and my home will be left without internet making it impossible for me to operate my alarm and my heating remotely. This is shockingly poor and demonstrates why the Daily Telegraph recently reported that TalkTalk has the worst service of all broadband providers.
