Went at 9.45 to Crewe store majority of the fresh produce I.e. Vegetables and fruit were dated either today or tomorrow. Is this a cynical ploy by Tesco to make people make additional visits to buy goods and spend more.

My daughter is at uni 100 miles away from me, as she was really ill, the night before, I booked and paid for (I believed) a home delivery for her as I'm disabled and it's a massive thing for me to go that far. I got my daughter to get up and dressed in time for their 10-11 delivery slot ... nothing happened. At 1.25pm I got a call saying there had been a massive system failure resulting in non of the orders being downloaded from the system and it had happened across the uk effecting many shops and thousands of customers. They said everyone notified so far had booked the following day so there was a slot 2 days later if I wanted it! As my daughter has no transport and was very ill, I drove to my local Tesco to try to manually pay for it as I was told nothing was taken from my account so they didn't have a contract with me, i asked if under he circumstances, they could cover taxi for my daughter as she only lives 1 mile from store as she was way too ill to walk, but told no, they didn't offer that. I also spoke to the manager of Tesco.com there and spoke on the phone to Tesco.com who said even though they appreciated my situation, they couldn't favour one customer above others and there was nothing they could do! They had not left enough time to allow me to re order something from another supermarket either! I emailed customer support and was told amongst other things " We offer a service where we pick and deliver your shopping so this doesn't extend to any care arrangements for illness or anything related" I had ordered in good faith, I had received a confirmation email for my order, so stupidly believed it was going through. They had eventually got round to telling me nearly 3.5 hours after they should have first delivered it. Needless to say, I don't shop at Tesco or Tesco.com any more! Disgusted is putting it mildly!

I was emailed to review my purchase (which I loved) but I had experienced a mix up with tesco delivery (they delivered the product in the wrong colour) and actually had some spare time so thought "hey, why not?". Filled it all in etc and then the next morning had an email saying my review had been moderated! I've attempted to upload a picture of the email but it isn't working, so I shall copy and paste my review below, but I hardly think it's offensive in any way, just the truth! "Excellent product... but Tesco delivered the wrong colour. The Actifry is amazing, i've cooked chips, veg and meat in there and all come out perfectly! Meat cooks surprisingly well in here! I thoroughly recommend this product! I ordered this Actifry XL express in white, however when delivered (to a collection point where I retrieved it) I had received a black one. Not a massive issue it would have just gone better in my kitchen, but the thought of having to send it back and await another delivery for when I was available I just couldn't be bothered." Tesco moderators emailed this: "Sdavis87,   Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!" I would like to know exactly what I said that did not meet their websites guidelines! No wonder why they all have good reviews on tesco... they won't allow any bad ones!!

Went to Tesco today and they had stuff on clearance which was originally 3 pounds reduced to 75 pence and even though it was marked down they would honour it saying it was a mistake and the staff member was very rude

I went to Tesco and bought some raspberries, I opened them and I ate a few, then I noticed a dead spider in a raspberry. I don't even want to know if there are more in there or how many I might of eaten of course it put me off and I didn't eat anymore, just glad it wasn't a young child that ate them. I think it's awful and these were Tesco branded other wise I would of contacted the actual company

I attended Tesco store Whiteley in Hampshire on 11.02.17 to do a big family shop. The following day on 12.02.17 at lunchtime I went to open a carton of value olives to give to the kids. The wife noticed the 'Use by' date was 09.02.17 , making the olives 2 days of of date at the point of sale. I was very disappointed and concerned about the value Tesco places on food safety. I went to the two website and notified customer service department. A great response took place with 'Elizabeth' from head office calling me within 2 hours to apologise, agreeing it was not acceptable. I was told the store manager had been notified who was checking the shelves for any other out of date stock and that the manager would then call me direct. The store manager did not call me.....I waited in for the call. On the 13.02.17 I filled out a follow up to customer service email asking about my experience. I expressed my dissatisfaction at the lack of contact from the store. Still no contact from the store. I figured I would give the store a week to respond. As of today 19.02.17 I have had no further contact. Tesco have not had the decency to call me back or even offer to replace the olives. Under the general for law it is an offence for a retailer to sell 'unsafe' food, and EU regulation 1169 clarified in 2011 that this would include any food past it's is by date. As such I am reporting the matter to trading standards to deal with.

Terrible customer service! Erith store is a shambles. My review relates to the Erith store, so your experience may differ. I moved house and updated my app, I didn't check that this had pulled through online unfortunately, so when I bought my next shop using the online service instead, it was delivered to my old address by mistake. Not as much of a problem as it may appear, I only moved 1.8 miles. I usually use the phone app, so had already been getting Tesco deliveries at the new address, my payment card was also registered to the new address. However, jobsworth, faceless, non customer facing manager at Erith store just decided to tell the driver he was not allowed to re-direct. Not because of time pressure or because it was out of his route, oh no, but just because they are 'not allowed and would be sacked'? Absolute melodramatic nonsense. I called customer service and explained all the above and was told, 'we have no authority in the matter' ??? so basically customer service are a waste of time (they are very pleasant though). So Erith would rather take all my food back to the store at Tesco's expense than use common sense judgement here and not even customer services could do anything to stop them. Great business model Tesco! I would understand if my new address was not registered to my account (it was), I would understand if they had never delivered there before (they had several times), I would understand if my payment card was not registered at my new address (It is), so as a result I really, really do not understand the logic of taking my shop back to the store instead of travelling 1.8 miles? Can anyone from Tesco explain this or what risk Erith store were taking that they thought their jobs were at such terrible peril? I would have more understanding if the store were models of service themselves but they deliver my shop late every week (this is not exaggeration), some of the substitutes are questionable, the drivers can be rude, stupid or both (some are great too!), the poor drivers are sent out with no computer thingy and are often just put on at the last minute, I stopped complaining about the delivery times years ago and just accepted that it 'just the way it was'. I had a lot of understanding with your shortcomings Erith Tesco, it's a shame you couldn't help me out! I cancelled my delivery saver and I am now a Sainsburys customer. Vote with your wallet, its the only language some companies understand unfortunately.

Broadmead Tesco Direct Trowbridge Wiltshire. Tried to buy cigarettes Male assistant refused to open tobacco concealing doors unless I ask for a specific brand. I pointed out I wanted to price the various brands to decide which brand to buy. There was no tobacco price list displayed at the counter. Assistant still refused, so I went to Asda who were happy to display and price their tobacco products when asked. Will do my weekly shopping at Asda in future. Tesco has just lost another customer.

I was at the checkout behind another customer and her children, the lady had some Tesco vouchers but what became obvious was she didn't have enough money to pay for all of her shopping so had to return some of her shopping this would have been fine if the checkout woman had not been so loud and constantly discussing this with her co-worker and stating that there was "another one" each time the customer returned something, then another member of staff came over with a basket and filled it with some of the returned shopping to which the checkout woman said loudly "You won't get it all in there". I was extremely embarrassed for the customer and had I had enough money myself would have offered to pay just to save her from this humiliating service - I am shocked I have often experienced very rude checkout staff at your Scarborough Westwood store but this took the biscuit.

This store is Terrible Wombwell Barnsley, i was turned away from buying an advertised TV at this local store through a google search, which stated the TV was in stock and at £419, when asking for the TV was told the price had was £479, after showing them the live webpage the Manager/Deputy just said sorry nothing we can do and turned me away, i had traveled from Sheffield. Like magic when i returned home the pricing through the Google search had reverted to the £479 price tag. the TV in question was LG49uh610v. Customer service shame on you....

They promise you the earth then don't deliver - no Saturday deliveries ONLY mentioned once ordered - We had a confirmed delivery of Saturday yet apparently they can't do saturdays at all!!!! To add to the grief they hold onto your money for a week after cancelling the order despite not delivering it - We went on to order from John Lewis at the same price and got what we wanted - they even offered us a freebie to counter the stress that Tesco gave us - now that's customer service! Tesco is literally one star service....

Today I purchased 3 packs of fresh meat. When I got to the checkout I had to ask for a bag to put them in. The operator stated that I had to buy one, I remindered her that as they were meat products a bag should be given. She stated that it could not be a carrier bag which I understood and I only wanted a bag not a carrier. She was not very pleased as she had to ask another operator for one. Customers should not have to ask for a bag for fresh meat it should be automatically given. Come on Tesco train your staff correctly.

Terrible experience shopping here at Sleaford Tescos . Miserable staff, no one smiles or greets in a warm way. On the till where one does the cash out one’s self; the women walk around with head phones talking into them and totally ignoring the help needed and you have to wait ages for them to notice you or they stay in clumps nattering about this and that instead of doing their job. Went to ask about the Tesco card on the reception desk on a young woman looked at me if I just came from another planet and answered me in a “can’t be bothered fashion”. She seems anemic so I suggest some sugar might boost her and make a smile at least. Lots of products on the shelves past their sell by date!!! Just so unprofessional will not shop there again and instead of Tesco putting money into adverts they should pick or train their staff better.

we ordered a coffee table that arrived damaged, another was sent, this was also damaged. When asked about this they checked and told us that all were damaged!!!! Why send out not one but two damaged coffee tables, do they think we are stupid. Tried to leave a review as asked by Tesco, but surprise, surprise, they declined to publish the review, I wonder why!!!! Do not use.

I purchased Sugardrop Tomatoes on 22nd December, the Sell by date was 27-12-16, when I went to use them on 25-12-16 I had to throw 3 away as there was a white mould on them. I normally buy my fruit and vegetables from Aldi and it lasts well beyond the date so will not be using Tesco again.
