Terrible customer service! Erith store is a shambles. My review relates to the Erith store, so your experience may differ. I moved house and updated my app, I didn't check that this had pulled through online unfortunately, so when I bought my next shop using the online service instead, it was delivered to my old address by mistake. Not as much of a problem as it may appear, I only moved 1.8 miles. I usually use the phone app, so had already been getting Tesco deliveries at the new address, my payment card was also registered to the new address. However, jobsworth, faceless, non customer facing manager at Erith store just decided to tell the driver he was not allowed to re-direct. Not because of time pressure or because it was out of his route, oh no, but just because they are 'not allowed and would be sacked'? Absolute melodramatic nonsense. I called customer service and explained all the above and was told, 'we have no authority in the matter' ??? so basically customer service are a waste of time (they are very pleasant though). So Erith would rather take all my food back to the store at Tesco's expense than use common sense judgement here and not even customer services could do anything to stop them. Great business model Tesco! I would understand if my new address was not registered to my account (it was), I would understand if they had never delivered there before (they had several times), I would understand if my payment card was not registered at my new address (It is), so as a result I really, really do not understand the logic of taking my shop back to the store instead of travelling 1.8 miles? Can anyone from Tesco explain this or what risk Erith store were taking that they thought their jobs were at such terrible peril? I would have more understanding if the store were models of service themselves but they deliver my shop late every week (this is not exaggeration), some of the substitutes are questionable, the drivers can be rude, stupid or both (some are great too!), the poor drivers are sent out with no computer thingy and are often just put on at the last minute, I stopped complaining about the delivery times years ago and just accepted that it 'just the way it was'. I had a lot of understanding with your shortcomings Erith Tesco, it's a shame you couldn't help me out! I cancelled my delivery saver and I am now a Sainsburys customer. Vote with your wallet, its the only language some companies understand unfortunately.

Broadmead Tesco Direct Trowbridge Wiltshire. Tried to buy cigarettes Male assistant refused to open tobacco concealing doors unless I ask for a specific brand. I pointed out I wanted to price the various brands to decide which brand to buy. There was no tobacco price list displayed at the counter. Assistant still refused, so I went to Asda who were happy to display and price their tobacco products when asked. Will do my weekly shopping at Asda in future. Tesco has just lost another customer.

I was at the checkout behind another customer and her children, the lady had some Tesco vouchers but what became obvious was she didn't have enough money to pay for all of her shopping so had to return some of her shopping this would have been fine if the checkout woman had not been so loud and constantly discussing this with her co-worker and stating that there was "another one" each time the customer returned something, then another member of staff came over with a basket and filled it with some of the returned shopping to which the checkout woman said loudly "You won't get it all in there". I was extremely embarrassed for the customer and had I had enough money myself would have offered to pay just to save her from this humiliating service - I am shocked I have often experienced very rude checkout staff at your Scarborough Westwood store but this took the biscuit.

This store is Terrible Wombwell Barnsley, i was turned away from buying an advertised TV at this local store through a google search, which stated the TV was in stock and at £419, when asking for the TV was told the price had was £479, after showing them the live webpage the Manager/Deputy just said sorry nothing we can do and turned me away, i had traveled from Sheffield. Like magic when i returned home the pricing through the Google search had reverted to the £479 price tag. the TV in question was LG49uh610v. Customer service shame on you....

They promise you the earth then don't deliver - no Saturday deliveries ONLY mentioned once ordered - We had a confirmed delivery of Saturday yet apparently they can't do saturdays at all!!!! To add to the grief they hold onto your money for a week after cancelling the order despite not delivering it - We went on to order from John Lewis at the same price and got what we wanted - they even offered us a freebie to counter the stress that Tesco gave us - now that's customer service! Tesco is literally one star service....

Today I purchased 3 packs of fresh meat. When I got to the checkout I had to ask for a bag to put them in. The operator stated that I had to buy one, I remindered her that as they were meat products a bag should be given. She stated that it could not be a carrier bag which I understood and I only wanted a bag not a carrier. She was not very pleased as she had to ask another operator for one. Customers should not have to ask for a bag for fresh meat it should be automatically given. Come on Tesco train your staff correctly.

Terrible experience shopping here at Sleaford Tescos . Miserable staff, no one smiles or greets in a warm way. On the till where one does the cash out one’s self; the women walk around with head phones talking into them and totally ignoring the help needed and you have to wait ages for them to notice you or they stay in clumps nattering about this and that instead of doing their job. Went to ask about the Tesco card on the reception desk on a young woman looked at me if I just came from another planet and answered me in a “can’t be bothered fashion”. She seems anemic so I suggest some sugar might boost her and make a smile at least. Lots of products on the shelves past their sell by date!!! Just so unprofessional will not shop there again and instead of Tesco putting money into adverts they should pick or train their staff better.

we ordered a coffee table that arrived damaged, another was sent, this was also damaged. When asked about this they checked and told us that all were damaged!!!! Why send out not one but two damaged coffee tables, do they think we are stupid. Tried to leave a review as asked by Tesco, but surprise, surprise, they declined to publish the review, I wonder why!!!! Do not use.

I purchased Sugardrop Tomatoes on 22nd December, the Sell by date was 27-12-16, when I went to use them on 25-12-16 I had to throw 3 away as there was a white mould on them. I normally buy my fruit and vegetables from Aldi and it lasts well beyond the date so will not be using Tesco again.

Awful customer service following the lack of turkey within my Xmas preordered delivery, smoked salmon and stuffing portions with short dated pre Xmas shelf life. Incredibly surly customer service rep on complaint call. I will NEVER shop at a Tesco again!

I made a order on the 11th of December and booked a slot for the items to be delivered on the 13th December between 6-10pm as this was the cheapest delivery time and it was convenient for me as I would be home from work by the. So I waited for my delivery to turn up until I noticed that it was 10:30pm and no sign of my shopping nor and called/ notification about it beening late. So I called up customer service and was told that the driver is running late and would be with me with in the next 20mins. The customer service guy tried to make out that by giving me some money off my delivery would make things ok. I told him that the delivery cost was just £1 and that would not make no difference to my shop of over £90. So he said "how much money would you like me to offer to you?" And I said that I was not looking for money off my shop I just want my shopping on time as requested. I waited until 1am with no sign of my shopping I did try and contact the customer service but they closed at 11pm.

Ordered Lego Mindstorm as a birthday present - box had been opened and missing a robotic moving piece. Tesco could not replace the gift as it is out of stock. We got the refund but that really isn't the point, is it. Not a good experience.

First time ever, forked out yesterday for Tescos finest 6 mince pies. They taste nice and then the issue starts! Both my husband and I had WORST indigestion we ever had. Ending with me being physically sick. Never again!

I ordered a bread maker and when I went to pick it up - the boxed looked like it's been dropped at least couple of times. I did say that this is not what I was expecting and the answer was "well I'm sure the item is ok, it's just the box that's damaged " ... this was for a present and I couldn't take it in the state that it was. I asked for a replacement but they told me it's not possible and I should take the item and return it, which I refused and they offered me a refund and asked me to order the item again but when I went to their website the item was £30 more than what I originally paid. I called them and I've been told that there is nothing they can do unless I want a different item or they can give me a £15 voucher.. better than nothing but I still have to pay an extra £15 because the original item was not looked after. A minute later got an email to say they sorry that I had a problem and as a goodwill gesture they'll credit me with £10- they mentioned £15 over the phone. Don't feel like I received a good service .

To start I don't even rate Tesco direct one star but you have to to move down the page. I will try to make this review as short as I can under the circumstances. I purchased two settees in June through Tesco direct with the sofa collection. After only six weeks we noticed diamond shapes appearing on the seat section and also large creases from the back. We were about to go on holidays so we left it until we returned. We thought the leather might settle how wrong we were. I rang the sofa collection they sent an inspector after three weeks he said he didn't think they'd do anything as he'd seen it many times before where leather is down to vinyl! First shock I thought I'd bought a leather suite obviously not! Four weeks later still not heard so rang was first told they hadn't received report then they had. Then the rather silly woman on the phone told me it was wear and tare after a couple of weeks ,! Then I was sitting on it wrong I have to plump up the pillows before anyone sits down apart from being absurd problem there are no pillows it is one piece sewn in centre. Then I contacted Tesco direct spoke to quite a few people total waste of time they even kept getting my surname wrong on emails calling me Mrs Hayward!! Then just to add to our problems last Friday noticed stitches opening in three separate areas. Emailed photos to Tesco direct. They then sent me an email last night saying they or the sofa collection didn't accept my claim so in other words tough! Today i rang yet again spoke to a gentleman called Chris in their resolution dept he was very helpful the first person to be honest I had any sense out off. He contacted the sofa collection again and Tesco management guess what they both don't want to know! I have tried to go through the retail ombudsman on line only to be told because Tesco refuses to deal with them there's nothing they can do! So obviously Tesco are above the law!. My next step now is lawyers and the small claims court. I am going to go on every review site I can find to warn people of these two dreadful companies who take your money sell you shoddy goods then don't want anything more to do with you. I'm disgusted with Tesco I have decided I will never use Tesco again. We buy all our food fuel and even house and contents ins with tesco. I feel very let down that they can treat loyal customer's like this. Please if your considering buying a suite from the sofa collection don't they're product is rubbish and as far as Tesco direct is concerned what can I say. Appalling disgraceful money grabbers! For such a large company they should be ashamed of the way they treat their customers!
